No grunting, no screaming. Just silent concentration

Exactly- grunting all the time is annoying

I loved the opposite player's chops. It felt as if he was playing TT. Those forehand and backhand chops were amazing to see.

Hurkacz, his slices can be very good, but for the very same reason that they look good they are also prone to inconsistency, he just lets them get slightly too far away sometimes because his striking point is about as far away as it can get

I agree. I think Med felt lucky to win that point

El adversario nunca ganará si continúa lanzando sus tiros a la raqueta de Medvédev. Además, desperdició dos oportunidades de lanzar sendas paralelas. Otra cosa, sus disparos son muy lentos, menos de 150 km/hora.

I’m sorry but Medvedev is so hard to watch. I can’t show non tennis players a guy like him and then say “oh that’s one of the best in the sport” I like to pretend he doesn’t exist

  • @zhiro12

Sorry but this guy makes all of tenis looks so awful. He’s #3 seat in the world and he’s above average at best. (Maybe we are spoiled on greatness) but if this guy is #3 then tenis is at its all time lowest level. Since the last 20 years, if you where #3 you were considered a god of tenis. Top 3 where always nole nadal federer, below them all the rest of the greats, Murray, Del potro, roddick, Hewit, Wawrinka, Cilic, Nalbaldian. And then we have Medvedev, its sad

Judging by your comment, you are right number 4 in the world ranking. Every player wants to win and play their top game. Medvedev is a cool headed percentage player, and he plays these games to win. More often than not, he gets a win, and that's what is important to him. He's there to win, not to please every couch expert.
