Towel is Mao jin. To be fair, he probably wouldn't pronounce it correctly and the kid would get more confused 😅 chinese is one of the hardest languages to learn, i dont expect that monkey to learn any
That is the tournament responsibility to put someone that can communicate with each other. If communication exist during the game between player and other person then it must put someone who can understand especially when its timing limited. Its not the kid problem but more organisers. Line umpires where they dont have any communication with player there you can put someone without knowing English.
@@andjelkojovanovic2852 Firstly no, it's not tournament responsibility to put translator, it's Chinese event that happened to be included in WTA tour. Maybe if there was a negotiation between event organizers and WTA to provide translator, but for what, what do you want to translate? Secondly, why not just learn: water, towel, please in LITERALLY 5 MINUTES and you can practice pronunciations on 12h flight or just on your training. Nobody said "Learn Mandarin" or "Learn Cantonese" AND for sure no one has said learn Kanji, and how to write it. Just 3 words and it's ok pronunciation, like if you meat someone who's English is 2nd language even if they say water weirdly you will understand them. Especially at tennis given as a ball boy there are 3 things asked of you, balls and help players with water and towels. Thirdly, there were translators, I'm not sure if hired by organizer but someone told child what was up, and that he needs to be faster or player will get penalized. That's why you see him running everywhere behind him with a towel so it doesn't happen again. If there were not official, people that go to tennis matches in China KNOW ENGLISH, so after the first time he knew what "towel" meant, and after 2nd what "faster" meant. There is no language barrier hindering player's ability, the only reason he lost is because he lost with himself and lost focus, and started to get verbally assault a child, couldn't keep himself from swearing and screaming at him, yeah he lost control of him whole self.
@@DrakesGhostWriter Maybe i expressed myself in wrong way but i never meant to put translator but pick kids who can understand a little bit of English. The umpires are too tolerant. If a football player displayed behavior like this he would be shown the red card and be sent off. If there was an international rule change to ‘show the red card’, this kind of behavior would soon disappear.
Tournament sponsors won't allow it. They want the revenue these matches produce for them. And they like the attention this stuff gets. Right and wrong always loses out when that much money is involved.

"can't you peel it for me" is crazy
I was wondering about that myself. Did he not want to risk getting banana on his hands, and if so, how would her peeling it alleviate that? And did he not have an ample supply of towels just in case?
So many questions...
You know, Verdasco could have learned to say "towel please" in Chinese. Thats easier for an adult in that country than a kid not even in the US
Towel is Mao jin. To be fair, he probably wouldn't pronounce it correctly and the kid would get more confused 😅 chinese is one of the hardest languages to learn, i dont expect that monkey to learn any
Underrated comment.
Ball kids go through all sort of training with balls from passing to general rules such as when its ok to run and to be honest I'm quite surprised if they dont teach them English words towel, water and ball.
I'm not defending Verdasco he would whinge about anything just in general that ball kids should have priority who can understand English so it doesnt become issue in future.
