    • @AegrusYT
      @AegrusYT 2 дня назад +5

      Supervisors seem useless because players call for them for decisions out of their control. Umpires give penalties based on the rules, the supervisor can only really change anything if the umpire makes a mistake in rule interpretation. Rune's penalty was harsh but could be seen as unsportsmanlike. Tsitsi had to follow the clock but didn't so that is the umpire simply applying the rules. Nothing for the supervisor to do there.

    We need electronic line calling (whatever the system) everywhere. That would help avoid the vast majority of issues. We need to revisit the 25 second rule as well. Especially in very hot climates, players need to towel down. If you finish a point at the net and then have to walk far to the towel, theres literally not enough time. Also, why is it that we as spectators can see endless replays of a double bounce live, but the officials cannot??? And when officials are proven to have made a mistake, why isnt the mistake corrected? Instead, they stick to their mistake, and it may cost a player, who did nothing wrong, the match?????????

And if they make a mistake, it cant even be corrected, Lahyani made a bad call in the Monfils/Medvedev match, the VR shows that Monfils' shot was way out, yet Lahyani scores a point to Monfils. Umpires are so self confident. It always happens, they never admit their mistakes.

    Tsitsipas' "argument" was the dumbest thing I've seen all year. As much as I don't really like Fergus Murphy, I feel sorry that he had to listen to the ridiculous whining from Tsitsipas.
    Also, the umpire in the Sonego match is completely blind it seems. The alleged "double bounce" happened right next to her and Sonego hit it well above the ground. I mean, mistakes can happen, but this is simply too much.
    By contrast, the umpire who made the calls against Hurkacz and Tiafoe seems like he's doing his job very well. Good calls and no useless arguing with players over simple calls.

    Stefanos Tsitsipas was 100 % correct. Even if the shot clock starts immediately, there is something called common sense & compassion after a long exhaustive rally or point, especially if the weather is hot & humid. This is not a video game. It is real human beings playing tennis. The Chair Umpire has complete discretion whether to give a time violation or not in this case. Fergus Murphy was being a total jerk by taking away Stef 's first serve. After he had done that, he was also being patronizing on top of that. Fergus is a joke.

    Regardless of the mistakes, 99% of tennis players sound like spoiled little kids who can't argue like an adult when facing an issue, just like Karens.

      It's easy to talk when you are not the one in the difficult situation. In this video many critical points were robbed by the umpire or supervisor, imagine if your career and paycheck depend on it.

      I can’t understand who forces you to watch something that bothers you so much. Except that you wouldn’t have other reason to complain.
      Also, the “spoiled little kids” didn’t work their whole life to get robbed during matches.
      Grow up
