Moratelli/Siskova really think a professional umpire doesn't understand the concept of overruling? Then 5 seconds later they give an example of her overruling in the previous set 🤦♂️
I'm guessing not a lot of people know the rule but surprisingly, J Zhang was right on this one, correctly seeing what happened (even though she wasn't exactly the best at communicating it). Foot faults are fair game as soon as the motion starts, not just when you hit the ball. If you rewatch Pliskova's serve, you can clearly see her back foot is over the center line when she tosses the ball. But even then you have to wait until the ball is struck before calling it since in theory, you can catch the ball and start over (and then there would be no serve to call a foot fault on lol). If you need a great example of this rule being explained to a player, look up the exchange between Nick Kyrgios and James Keothavong at Wimbledon. He explains it perfectly and succinctly.

That's what happens when you play in asia vs asian players with an asian umpire. You get screwed all day long. They might as well get rid of the asian tour cause it's always a cheat fest there
