I love my F75 LTD SE! If you didn’t know the boost mode and cache mode transfers over to all metal mode and enhances its performance. It’s says so in the users manual and I asked Kelly Co. You don’t need to swing slow in boost mode using all metal mode but you do need to sweep slow using cache mode when you’re in all metal mode. Just set discrimination mode side first then switch over to all metal mode and it almost doubles all metal mode performance. Air test and verify for yourself. Other settings like default or fast mode or jewelry doesn’t transfer over to enhance all metal mode. This information is on page 22 and 23 of the users manual. As you start to read each discrimination mode. You’ll noticed boost process cache locating process at the bottom of the paragraph says... when the boost mode is selected the response characteristics of the all metal mode are also modified (meaning boosted or enhanced) these characters include less noise and slow response speed. Because now its searching ultra deep and so it responds a little slow. You don’t need to sweep slow in boost mode but you do when you use cache mode. Regardless if you are using them on discrimination side and/or on all metal mode. If you select one of these options and go back to all metal mode they are enhanced if you use any other setting like default or bottlecap or jewelry then it goes back to lower performance or default. Also if you haven’t upgraded to larger 15” inch fisher coil you should. I purchased the larger 15” inch fisher coil for my F75 LTD SE and I can hit quarters over 20” inches deep! Man hole cover or 55 gallon drum amount of metal is 2 meters or 6 feet on stock 11” inch coil... However the larger 15” inch fisher coil will hit same amount of metal over three meters or 10 feet deep! So if you haven’t then you should upgrade the coil. Always run max sensitivity...
I guess that you can't change your dirt there THGT... lol. Another incredible machine. I am looking forward to seeing some field footage with this. The one thing that I really like about the 75 versus say the Titan 9000 is the fact that there are only three controls to worry about. Makes things much easier to fiddle with.... to an extent. I know that it can make the menus more numerous and such, but only having to fiddle with something with one hand versus having to stop and use two hands to change settings is nice. Thanks for the review THGT!
Thanks for the videos and tests. Now the question... even though your "stable" is very limited... Which of those in your "stable" or available from the companies that sponsor you would you recommend as the best "bang for the buck"? And, if you answer the first question, then I hope you will add qualification for the "budget" conscious people. In other words, what features are really WORTH spending the extra $$$ on and hwich are not? Thanks! Really enjoy the videos.
Well, that is a hard one to answer...so I will throw out one from each company that sponsors me.... The Teknetics Patriot at $399 is easily the most powerful of all the $400 range detectors. It has a "boost" process just like the T2 and F75 LTD versions do. It has an extremely fast recovery speed - good separation - decent unmasking. They guy that engineered the T2 and F75 said that if you have a Patriot....there is really no reason to "upgrade" to a F75. If you have roughly $400 to spend on your detector - this would be my pick. The Fisher F44 is my pick for the $350 range. It is weatherproof - has notch volume adjust (I love it) - 11in teardrop concentric coil - 4 tones - all-metal. The Bounty Hunter Land Ranger Pro is usually about $250 on Amazon. Nothing else comes close in that sub-300 price range. It has Vbreak - notch - notch width - manual ground balance - all-metal mode - 3 preset and 3 custom modes - 4 tones - 11DD coil stock. As far as what features I would or would not pay for? That is user specific. I rarely use manual ground balance....the "quick grab" feature of the Patriot is plenty good. I rarely use all-metal mode unless gold prospecting. However, both of those are REALLY good features than when you want them...they are good to have available. Same with the weatherproofing on the F44. I hate the rain and would prefer to just not detect. However, if a sudden rainstorm comes I am all set with a F44. Can even rinse the whole thing off with a water hose no problem. I LOVE that it is weatherproof...I just don't use that feature other than for rinsing. I can tell you my favorite feature to have on ANY detector is a notch system. I wish the T2 had one....be perfect then. I LOVE the fact you can mute or volume adjust notches on the F44 (Omega 8500 as well). Hope that answer is ok. I appreciate you watching. Let me know if you have any other questions. Always here to help.
Great video. You have me sold...I am considering purchasing the F75+ but one thing has me confused. I see it comes with a free refurb ticket. What exactly is that? I noticed the plain F75 and the Limited edition say they come with the "Latest leading edge technology" Does this mean the plus needs to be sent in for a refurb to get the updated technology? Or is that ticket included for a future upgrade?
That refurb is just a ticket you can use down the line to refresh your detector if it gets scratched and beat up. It will come back looking like new. The F75+ is the same as a LTD....it has everything included.
Another great video Hunter! My hunting may be on hold, I see the doctor about my MRI results next Tues for my back, may need surgery again. It is what it is i guess.
Great review Hunter. It really does go deep on the air test. I am looking forward to seeing the field test with it. I think this one is on my list for hopefully this summer. Thanks for sharing. GL and HH. Eric
Hey Hunter. There's a videos on you tube called ( fisher f75 coin iron test) its only 2 minutes long. I tried to reproduce this test but couldn't. Does the f75 really unmask iron this well? Check out out when you can. This video has me scratching my head.
Mark Hagopian Well, it does not seem like any foul play is there, so it seems legit. I do know when ferrous targets are wider than the coil a non-ferrous target will appear easier. A harder test is actually a nail or such that is not as wide. Minelab tried to ohh and ahh everybody with a similar trick when the Equinox was first shown.
TheHunterGT We wish you could get your hands on an Equinox for testing. Just very tired of claims that a new detector is unmasking all kinds of signals in hunted out sites that all previous detectors missed.
Thank you very much for the videos. They are very helpfull. I just bought a Fisher F75+ and I wanted to ask if there is some difference with the LTD BLK model as the software goes
Dirt Fisherman I do feel it is better yes...but not by much. Patriot is a great buy for the $$. This has more tone options and a few more process. Beyond that fairly similar performance.
Hey man, just came across your channel and I love it. I’m not sure if you still respond to people but I have a question. I’ve metal detected all my childhood but we always had crappy metal detectors with no settings. I recently bought the F75 and it’s a little intimidating. Do you have anywhere I can go and learn what every single setting means and does? I know Fisher has guides online but they don’t go into detail on what every setting is actually for. I’ve played with it but I really don’t want to get comfortable on a setting that I don’t understand because it may be a waste of my time just for the fact that it may teach me bad habits or to dig more junk than I already do LOL.
Glad to hear you enjoy the channel. Part one of this video explains the menu and setup. ruclips.net/video/Yc_KqkoXUo4/видео.html Other than that I would sound cliche with "read the manual" - "watch videos" - "read forums" etc. If you have a specific type of hunting you want to do I can help with that type of setup. I personally feel the 3 tone option is great when running low disc and for generalized hunting - and 1F tone great for high disc cherry picking. I almost always run DE default mode at 90 gain.
Just got mine today, but when i swipe it over ground where i know there isnt snu metal, it stills Flash alot of Numbers and beeps. Ant clue to what i have to do?
I have a f75 Anniversary it is just over a year old. I it bought second hand . But doesn't have BP mode ???? Or is it due been in the UK ?? great info . Also someone said on our forum you lose a lot of depth running the dis 3/25 is there any truth in that ????
The gold anniversary editions did not have BP. Just the black LTD versions. I don't find that it loses much depth at all with raised disc. I can max it out and still get an 8 inch dime in decent dirt.
So, GT how does it compare to the gold bug pro, you said the pro does better with small gold, but what about coins and relics, I wouldn't be able to afford to have one machine just for gold then one for coins and relics. Does the huntress like it over the pro, because I noticed she used the pro a lot.
Gold Bug Pro (and G2+ and F19) is slightly more sensitive to small gold. However, I would feel very capable taking this out with a small 5in DD where pickers the size of BB's are known to exist.
@@thehuntergt I only realize tonight despite being a very high performance and popular machine, there's almost no videos on RUclips of gold prospectors using the Fisher on gold fields, why?????

I don't know Hunter. I can see why you like the f75+. But of I lived where you do I might have a hard time not really considering a minelab exquanox 800. This machine is really looking like the jack of all trades.
Mark Hagopian I would only see it as a beach upgrade. It would not replace my G2+ for prospecting...and I'm not much of a relic hunter so the T2 works good enough if I do. Seen a couple guys say their Equinox does not replace their F75. Has trouble with coins on edge the F75 smacked on... and also was not as deep as a LTD in boost mode. Does the detecting signals bass trough the hard rocks and soil with these deeps
