Nice review. I have an original T2 that was upgraded a couple years ago. Most of the time I am still running it the same as before I had it upgraded. 2+ tones, 11 disc, 80 sens. Great machine
Thank you very much from Saudi Arabia. I bought the device several years ago and did not know how it worked, so I threw it in the cupboard. Until I saw this video, and it is the only one I understand. Thank you. best regard.
I've had a whole bunch of detectors. And the T2 has been out for quite a long time now. And as far as I am concerned, it's STILL the best overall detector ever made. I don't think a fella could go wrong with a T2
Thanks for that confirmation. Being in the UK, I bought a T2+ 10 months ago after starting off with a Eurotek, which I loved as a novice for it' simplicity, but ran my car over it (long story) and it was never right. My new T2 packed up recently and I returned it to seller, UnearthedUK, who quickly sorted out the failed battery connection. I love this machine but know I am maybe not getting the best from it from all the variable settings available. I think I chose well, paying just under £500 for it - some suppliers over £300 more, My pin-pointer causes much chatter from the machine when put down to check out my unearthing, so I will try changing that frequency setting. My best find with it was a 1797 Copper Cartwheel Penny (and a couple of unidentified Roman) but I feel it can find anything the coil passes over. I even found a 1972 US Dime in the middle of a field of a farm less than 1 mile from me and a silver WW1 silver Tyneside & Scotland Regiment cap badge which always leaving me wondering how they ended up there. A great video for T2 Newbies like me - thanks.

Up the street at a park or school that has years of grass growth....I can do 10 inches on a dime with my T2 Classic. LTD (SE) also has DST to deal with large amounts of EMi if present.

Hello Roy - thanks for commenting. We have the F19 (G2+) and the notch is a great feature. I wish it was on the T2 as well...perhaps on the T3 someday We deal with plenty of large aluminum trash here. Having the high notch really helps.

wackid Thanks for watching and subbing! All Metal mode is more sensitive to smaller targets and is deeper as well. It is only one modulated tone however. In disc 0...you still have tone options. I personally use 3 tone most of the time over DP which I don't personally care for.

Thanks and God bless you and your family GT....!
Hmmm...I always thought a DFX would go much deeper. I will assume you did not have it cranked up high perhaps? Seems to be good soil you have...or the DFX is good in your soil. Either way. I should have an LTD (SE) version in a couple months I think. Sorry it won't be any sooner. I will absolutely run it through the paces though. HH my friend.
I'm going to adjust some setting curves on the dfx to see if I can get more depth....factory settings need some adjustments on what I have recently read....
TheHunterGT the DFX will go deeper but not much more in the factory pre sets. The awesome thing about the DFX is is dead on accurate for target ID and pin pointing.
TheHunterGT~ I asked a guy at metal detector .con what was the difference between Teknetics T2 and Gold finders G2? He said LOL,... we don't sell stuff like that here,... Do you want a XP Deus,....I said LOL I'd rather have a Tosoro Tejon or DeLeon he said Technology changes every day? I agree that fisher's F19 looks a lot like a gold bug. Have you seen she detector,.. she has reviewed 1000's of detectors? But the Fisher F-19 is the first VLF machine that she has used? All she could find was foil with it? I think If people started out with detectors with Knobs,........ they would be able to operate any detector,... they would understand threshold, Discrimination, Sensitivity, ground balance. I keep forgetting what gain dose. Bit find things at 47 inches deep with my Whites MXT. Knowning those things first lets you adapt from a turn on and go to search and poke buttons and scroll down lists. But if that person knows metal detectors front and back and thoroughly tests them,.. chances are he can find whats out there. I seen Teknetics T2 for $800.00 in a gold catalogue,....Then the gold finder clones came out? then $399.00 like,....... oh no we've been had by china,... hope this don't get out we pay china 100 for them and put 700 in our pockets. I'd like to see if what the guys in england claim is true they change the coils and their G2 performs like a T2. But if china don't make products that are equal in performance,... close them out of all markets,.. because they can't compare or compete they should not be there. TheHunterGT You need a gold cube and a banjo pan look >>>----------> www.goldfeverprospecting.com/goldcube.html
I've never seen the knock-off GF units but have read plenty about them and watched a few videos with them. They are nowhere near the true performance of a T2 or G2 from Teknetics. China does a great job making the fakes look perfect...but have not mastered the art of making them perform as well.
TheHunterGT~ No doubt but it knocked the price of the T2 From $800.00 to $399.00 for a while and I still never bought one,.. and now they are all green like the Gold Finders? I believe I'll be buying a Tejon, Lobo,.. and for running around DeLeon I'm not a shark or gator fan so I stay away from water. But think they should mount a metal detector on a 20 guage shotgun for snakes and predators. Like the Treasure Commander TC2X is shaped like a gun but the detector is from china and dose not function. But the company selling it rated it higher than all other detectors they said in their specifications??? Well didn't try the GPS, but I would never have a use for it. I love my MXT but I'm afraid to take it any where,.. we can only use them on private property in OHIO. All the gold and silver lost here belongs to our communist style govt. I think they would look at a tesoro like a Hi-point. But after they rob every resource they might let use carry guns,... but no bullets because Obama closed down all the lead mines.
The T2 Classic here fits that bill nicely...or a G2+ as well. They both have manual ground balance and a quick grab option....and are very sensitive to small gold nuggets.
Thank you so much for this. I just ordered mine and you answered a few questions I couldn't find anywhere. Only question I have is, the speed you were moving your hand, is that how fast you swing. It seems that a slower speed with your hand would give a better representation of sound at a normal swing speed.
The T2 actually has a faster recovery speed then I can move my hand. It also has better depth and target ID the faster you sweep the coil over the target. Something to remember when hunting in the field if you hear a whisper target. A few very fast sweeps from all angles can help identify.
Yes of course. Air testing is the best case scenario for a VLF detector. Buried objects will not be detectable as such distances in most dirt. Florida beaches where mineralization is almost 0...you can get pretty close. Gold prospecting areas like here in Colorado...you are looking at a few inches tops.
I would personally go with the T2 Classic for beaches. Mine had no issues in the wet and dry sand even at higher sensitivity. My has the F19 which is a G2+ and her also worked very well. T2 is slightly deeper and easier to setup so gets the nod from me.
Great review, I'm considering taking up MDing again and looking at getting the T2 classic. I do have my eye on the T2 SE. Does anyone know if the boost mode on the SE is worth $200 more?
I love boost and use it pretty often on the Patriot. Instead of the T2 SE.....get the new T2+ on sale at www.tekneticsdirect.com which is a T2 Classic with boost included. It comes with the new Tek-Point pin-pointer and the Digger tool as well. All for $549. Use my code A1474 and you are all set up!
SuperCrazykid77 I love how you asked his opinion on which detector for beach use and he tells you to go with a H2 because you’ll be hunting on beaches... Then I scroll down some to find another post by you claiming that you’ve decided not to go with his suggestion that you asked for earlier and then you’ve got the Balls to turn around and ask him again, out of the two choices that he didn’t recommend the first time around you want him to now pick one of those as to which one is the best for beach hunting...lol...! Dude... Are the lights on but you’re not home or what...? The man already answered your question. Just because you chose to not take his advice doesn’t give you the right to ask him again nor for Hunter to answer the question again.
strictly for land hunting what would you recomend Nokta anfibio ,Makro multi kruzer or t2 ltd .i am from Europe and hunt mostly small roman denarius and relics
I would say get the Kruzer. It is a full 100+ cheaper than Anfibio....and you would not need the extra features like 99 tones for your type of hunting. Spend the extra $100+ on an extra coil or pointer.
Thank you for your quick respons .you really think that the Kruzer is beter than the T2 ltd at land hunting and finding the small coins and relics ?Could you specify way .I like the dept of the T2 and the fact that is a proven machine .And you say in this review that you would chose from all the detectors you tested the T2.And in my country the Kruzer and the T2 ltd are the same price. Thank you for helping me
@@adrianchintoan5120 The T2 is fantastic. Still in my top 5. However, the Nox - Kruzer - Anfibio - Deus....are all deeper, faster, separate better, and unmask better. That being said, I have so many hours on the T2 and know how close it is in most real world scenarios that I have no problem using it and recommending it to users. If they are 10 of 10...the T2 and F75 at 9 of 10. It is that close in most scenarios. The Kruzer is "better" since it is depper/faster etc...but also because of the selectable modes...frequencies...backlight...waterproof...saves settings...vibrate mode...etc etc. I think you will be 100% happy with the T2 as it is a great proven detector. However...the Kruzer is better when it comes to options and performance. Tough decision for sure.
Hey Hunter, I asked for your recommendation of the Patriot or the H2 Classic... After reading the comments I now understand that there is a T2 Ltd (SE). So, same question but now between these three instead of just two and why please. Thanks again...!
Troy Stutsman Heya Troy. They are all 13khz and very similar as far as speed, depth, and separation. T2 LTD has boost and cache which allow it to go a little deeper. FA (fast audio) which increases speed while in trash. Also has DST which will help with EMI. T2 Classic does not have those extra modes...but still very deep and fast. Screen and setup on both T2s will be identical. Both break iron at 40 and have the same screens. The Patriot breaks iron at 15 and has boost but no cache. Also has notch which the T2 does not. It saves settings unlike the T2. It does not have manual ground balance like the T2 but does have a very good quick grab. All 3 have all metal mode. All 3 very good at coin shooting and relic hunting.
Lastly, do you know the difference between the T2 and the T2+? Not clear on the website since they have not updated the comparison worksheet for the T2+. I bought it because of all the extras included in the bundle plus another 3 accessories I requested...and they just gave it all to me. I know it is a fine tool since this T2+ version has an added "boost" feature which...well, I am not there yet. Do you see any other differences (if you have time to share here) ? Thanks a ton.
I just purchased the T2+. Being a novice in this sport it sure is an advanced level tool but trial and error should build experience. I did have a question....manual versus fast grab?...Why would you use manual ground balance when fast grab seems like a no brainer? thanks.
Randal G. 99 percent of the time you will use fast grab. Manual will be if you want to run positive or negative...or below 40 for salt. Quick grab will not go below 40.
First like, first comment. Thanks for the review Hunter. Lots of great information. Looks like a great machine. Not a bad price either for what you get with it.
I just got the T2 plus, when would you use the all metal mode vs the discrimination mode? Is the All metal mode more advanced and allows the machine to run hotter? I understand the all metal mode allows you to hear "all metal", but wouldn't the discrimination mode set on 0 discrim also allow you to hear all metal as well? When is the best time to use the all metal mode?
Dawgs241 All metal is usually best saved for gold prospecting or deep targets in areas with little to no trash. You would rarely want to use it in a relic hunt with heavy nails or a trashy park...as it would drive ya batty after a while. Every like object would be a hit.
It's a toss up honestly. My wife owns a F19 (same as G2+) and the T2 Classic is deeper by 2-3 inches on a high conductor like copper or silver. The G2+ however will turn the tables on a mid-conductor like a lead bullet or gold ring. The G2+/F19 also has one of the greatest ID locks in all of detecting. I have yet to use a detector that locks on a target ID like it does. It will literally ID a coin until it whispers out of target range. Recovery speed on both is blazing fast. Separation and unmasking goes to the G2+/F19 however - albeit a VERY small margin. If I HAD to pick one - I would pick the T2 Classic. That being said - I have a G2+ coming soon for personal use LOL. Like I said...it's a toss up.
thanks for your video. I want to buy this in Iraq and somebody have it here. Does it worth or not? I wanted just for gold. But there isn't any keys that could detecting just gold on device. Please help me. I'm confusing.
It is very good for gold. Iron will land in the 0-40 ID range. Gold will be in the 41-80 range. You can tell by looking at the ID or by switching over to the tone options will will give you 3 and 4 tone options.
LRP is one of my favorites ever...and think it is greatly underrated and under-marketed. That being said the T2 is the better machine by a fair margin.
@@thehuntergt Picking up the T2 Tomorrow from a local & it is New.He only tested it in his back yard once & put it back in the box with everything that came with it.I am paying him just $400 for it so it's a $150 savings over the ones online. {:>)
@@1OFGODSOWN Nice...that is a great deal. They are built really well, and it should last for years to come. I will never sell mine...no matter how advanced detectors get. Just something about it that does it for me. Good luck!
TheHunterGT well I got home about an hour ago with my new detector and got a big surprise. It is not a T2 but a T2+ that I purchased for just $400 and it was still in the box and everything was still wrapped in the original wrapper with the exception of the detector which the previous owner had tested only. It does not have a mark on it anywhere and I am very very pleased needless to say and I was only going by what the ad said online And the seller used a picture from the web not a picture of the actual unit so I had no way of knowing I was getting even a better deal.I also got the Tek-Point Pin Pointer and not the regular Pin Pointer and that is another Plus.😁😃
It has a depth indicator above each target category. A 3X triangle setup showing shallow - medium - deep. The pinpoint trigger will also show depth in inches.
Cool thanks for that info. Do you think this is as good as a Garrett AT pro? The garrett could quiet iron pretty well and avoid newer bottlecaps. Any thoughts? And between the Fisher F75 and the T2 which do you think is better?
IMO the T2 is superior to the AT Pro. Much faster recovery speed...better separation...more tone options....deeper by a couple inches. The T2 will struggle will bottle caps but lifting the coil a couple inches will show the difference to a trained user. I prefer the T2 over the F75 - but that being said to plan on adding a F75 to my arsenal soon as I only have limited hours on one. Thus my bias towards the T2 which I have hundreds of hours on.
Flat rusty ones mostly. It is more of a DD coil issue than a T2 issue however. Most detectors with concentric coils can eliminate them easily. The T2 is a DD coil only machine so suffers a bit more. The manual talks about a couple ways to eliminate them. The heel and toe wiggle method and raising your coil upwards while sweeping. After a couple hunts or tests it is very easy to eliminate them with high confidence. I did not find the AT Pro to be any easier than the T2 on eliminating them, but like I said I have many more hours on the T2 compared to my short time on the AT Pro. Do a forum search for T2 (or F75) and bottle caps and you will see most users figure it out pretty quickly with the right method.

TheHunterGT You need a gold cube and a banjo pan look >>>---------->
www.goldfeverprospecting.com/goldcube.html
I've never seen the knock-off GF units but have read plenty about them and watched a few videos with them. They are nowhere near the true performance of a T2 or G2 from Teknetics. China does a great job making the fakes look perfect...but have not mastered the art of making them perform as well.
TheHunterGT~ No doubt but it knocked the price of the T2 From $800.00 to $399.00 for a while and I still never bought one,.. and now they are all green like the Gold Finders?
I believe I'll be buying a Tejon, Lobo,.. and for running around DeLeon
I'm not a shark or gator fan so I stay away from water.
Teknetics T2 or fisher gold bug pro?
Excellent review, luv my T2se .
Thank you for the kind words!
Enjoy your videos! Which detector would you suggest for Alaska? Mainly like coin shooting or jewelry hunting with occasional gold nugget detecting.
The T2 Classic here fits that bill nicely...or a G2+ as well. They both have manual ground balance and a quick grab option....and are very sensitive to small gold nuggets.
Thanks for the suggestions.
TheHunterGT Thanks for tip. I really appreciate this video. This is gonna help so fricken much.
Thanks Hunter for another great review.
My pleasure! Thank you for watching and commenting.
I think air testing is ok but when you go through harder dirt it will change the depth signal....am I right.....?
Yes of course. Air testing is the best case scenario for a VLF detector. Buried objects will not be detectable as such distances in most dirt. Florida beaches where mineralization is almost 0...you can get pretty close. Gold prospecting areas like here in Colorado...you are looking at a few inches tops.
Thanks for your reply Brother.....!
Always here to help!
love your videos HunterGT really informative what type of bullets are those i found a few of them down here in South Texas
Those are .45-70 if I remember correctly. US military issue in the 1880's. Used to shoot Mexican raiding parties.
I can't decide between the teknetics eurotek pro, t2 or g2 any help? I'm using mainly on beaches
I would personally go with the T2 Classic for beaches. Mine had no issues in the wet and dry sand even at higher sensitivity. My has the F19 which is a G2+ and her also worked very well. T2 is slightly deeper and easier to setup so gets the nod from me.
Where is a good place to buy?
Great review, I'm considering taking up MDing again and looking at getting the T2 classic. I do have my eye on the T2 SE. Does anyone know if the boost mode on the SE is worth $200 more?
I love boost and use it pretty often on the Patriot. Instead of the T2 SE.....get the new T2+ on sale at www.tekneticsdirect.com which is a T2 Classic with boost included. It comes with the new Tek-Point pin-pointer and the Digger tool as well. All for $549. Use my code A1474 and you are all set up!
TheHunterGT. Sweet, thank you so much, I'm going to check it out.
Whats your opinion on the Patriot. This one has caught my eye as well. How would you compare the Patriot with the T2?
Hello again :) I've decided to either go with the eurotek pro or the Garrett ace 400, which would you suggest is better for beaches?
SuperCrazykid77
I love how you asked his opinion on which detector for beach use
and he tells you to go with a H2 because you’ll be hunting on beaches...
Then I scroll down some to find another post by you claiming that you’ve
decided not to go with his suggestion that you asked for earlier and then
you’ve got the Balls to turn around and ask him again, out of the two choices
that he didn’t recommend the first time around you want him to now pick one
of those as to which one is the best for beach hunting...lol...!
Dude...
Are the lights on but you’re not home or what...?
The man already answered your question.
Just because you chose to not take his advice doesn’t give you the
right to ask him again nor for Hunter to answer the question again.
strictly for land hunting what would you recomend Nokta anfibio ,Makro multi kruzer or t2 ltd .i am from Europe and hunt mostly small roman denarius and relics
@@thehuntergt Thank you very much. I didn't know that The kruzer was deeper and faster than The Last Ltd version of the T2
Hey Hunter,
I asked for your recommendation of the Patriot
or the H2 Classic...
After reading the comments I now understand
that there is a T2 Ltd (SE).
So, same question but now between these three
instead of just two and why please.
TheHunterGT
Thank you so much for the info.
Have a great day...!
Randal G. Only difference will be the boost option. That and the extras that come in the package. (Pointer and digger)
Not a bad price either for what you get with it.
zombie Slayer Thanks ZS...great detector for the price. Everybody needs a T2 in their life!
F2 is being phased out I think. T2 is a fine machine to start on...and you will never outgrow it.
Seller here said T2 for 3 Meters deep but the demo show not
The update from a T2 to a T2 LTD is $309 and from the T2+ is $109 so I will leave my T2+ as it is.Not worth it for my needs.
Dawgs241 All-metal will be more sensitive to smaller object than Disc 0...and will also have the threshold hum option available.
TheHunterGT Awesome, thank you so much for the advice :)
Dawgs241 My pleasure.
Would you still choose the classic over the G2+ Goood informative video 👍🏻
I've looking for of one of your T2 SE tests and can't find one..........?
That is because I have only done the T2 Classic. 😎
Very good thanks
Great Review!!!
Kevin Jernigan Thank you!
thanks for your video.
My only bad experience so far is that sand and water tends to get in through the earphone jack.
A small thin o-ring on the jack might (or might not) be something to try out.
thanks u video great!
How big is the depth of this metal detector?
Very good. 10 inches range in good soil.
Can I get your input, Teknetics T2 or Patriot? Thanks
Rudy Su Christian That's a hard one. Both are great. I do prefer the T2 a bit more but would be hard pressed to say why.
Untuk emas di kedalaman berapa kerja
Very good sir
Thank you!
very inspired friends
I want to see you metal detecting gold,.. you have Arizona,.. California, Oregon, Idaho, Washington. Alaska Georgia. and Alabama,.. Colorado too.
I actually have a small teaser video on that coming soon!
Thanks for the correction, which do think is better all around Land Ranger Pro or T2 ?
LRP is one of my favorites ever...and think it is greatly underrated and under-marketed.
That being said the T2 is the better machine by a fair margin.
can it detec from 5 to 10 feet?
A car...not a coin. 😁
If i buy direct will you ship to south korea or phillipines?
You would need to contact them directly for that. 1-800-413-4131
TheHunterGT i mean direct from you . On the link on your discreption , this machine will harvest ww2 lyrics on my place
great review.

T2 or an AT PRO? Thanks
T2 easily...the ONLY thing the AT Pro does better in waterproofing.

Doctor Metal Thanks!
good review I got my 9.5×5.5 nel coil for the t2 from show me treasure.com to great company.
Craig is a great guy for sure. Love sending business his way when I can.
No depth meter?
T2 struggles with bottle caps eh? Like new one or rusty deep ones?

Hello TheHunterGT I am sorry to try and use this medium to connect with you but i don't known any other way. My name is Alan and i am trying to find out if you can reset the Teknetic T2 Classic As mine started wailing while going over a target , but now i cannot stop it from wailing as it is on all the time now from the minute i switch it on ,so you cannot use it at all as signals don't come through or if they do they cannot be heard. It is the overload signal i am talking of. Do you know ? is there anything i can do to reset the machine or is there a factory reset on this machine which i don't know of . I live in the UK and any help with my enquiry would be much appreciated ,Thank you. Alan.
