    Absolutely amazing Hunter. I cannot believe how technology has changed so much in the past 20 years on coils. A 12-inch coil picking up little microscopic pieces of gold that's insane. My next machine will probably be a teknetics so I might think about that coil. Have a grand week ahead Hunter.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  2 года назад +1

      Yeah, it is pretty bonkers how sensitive the T2 is. This coil surprised me it could hit that small piece. I know the 5in DD can hit it no problem...but was skeptical this could. It will likely stay on the stem for the long haul.

    Just try to imagine, for a moment, how good the new Fisher SF machine is going to be, seing as how Russ has told 'us' that this coil has been designed for it . Using a 'test bed' coil on FTs 'old-guard' high-ender legacy machines is shrewd indeed.... CLICK ;" and you're back in the room, folks". " Bring it on baby." No silly fan-fair, no hype for hypos, just the finished tool sporting this coil..Worth the wait? Aye, from me John. edit: see how 75's/T2's thrive on Iron Age/Roman bronze targets? Impressive. More so if this is a precursor of things to come! 😁 As a former long-time U.K v Tejon user, those positive 'clicks' on the 'down the line IHP test would have my attention.

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  2 года назад +1

      I know of many guys who dig the clicks on the T2 and F75 as long as they can get them to repeat like that. Some deep keepers have been found that way. I can't wait for Fisher/Teks new detector - even a SF machine is fine by me, since the Nox/Legend/Deus 2 all can do things in SF mode they cannot in SMF mode. And vice-versa obviously. I feel the Simplex/F75/T2/Deus1 can all prove SF is not dead and never will be.

      @@thehuntergt Thanks for the follow-up. Bounty Hunter makes a 12" coil. They say their 12COILDD is the deepest and lightest large coil made for First Texas Products metal detectors (Fisher, Teknetics, and Bounty Hunter). They list compatible detectors with some running on different Khz. That 12" coil looks identical to the T2, which is also a First Texas Product. Each company has the 8", 11" and 12". All three coils look identical and I suspect all three are interchangeable. When I get a chance, I'll check with the company/companies to verify and let you know.

      No clue - as I am not a physics major or an electrical engineer. The Equinox and Legend both pass "certain" separation and unmasking tests with the 11in coils that the 6in cannot. Likely something similar going on here. I will guess it has something to do with how tight the TX field projects and how the RX processes that info. They likely found a way to tighten the projection super narrow...or something to that effect.

    the new DD coil is not 12" in size at all. well mine is not. it only measures 11"1/4 if you measure it without the big thick plastic lip on the outside. purse the video at 3.20 to see the big plastic lip. that was a big disappointment for me. yes it is very light but not as good of a coil as the 13" ultimate coil is..

    • @thehuntergt
      @thehuntergt  Год назад +2

      Coil measurements are almost always on the outer edge of the coil, since the housing counts as part of the coil. I'm sure there is a coil or two that goes by the coil winding as the measurement, but they would be uncommon. One loop is 11.5...the other is 11.75. It was how the mold was made - I will assume on purpose for electrical engineering reasons that are beyond me. They decided to round it up to 12, instead of down to 11...which is also not uncommon. Many coils are .25 to .5 off when measuring, and rounded to the nearest whole number.
