Thank you, thank you, thank you for the detailed review of the Ozmo T8! I am intrigued by the AI tech built in but know it is still in the early adopter stage and will improve with time. I love your channel in general and have recommended it to many of my friends and family when they are looking to jump into the robot vacuum space.
Will wait for that mopping test before upgrading my vacuum, really looking forward to it!
Thanks so much for so many amazing reviews. We watch your channel often. I was hoping you might update this review (or do a follow-up) with your experiences using it at home and also with the newly released self-emptying station and the oscillating mop add-on. I'd love to hear how well it works and how the new mop attachment makes it compare with the Roborock S6 MaxV. Thanks so much!
Great video. About the device: Getting there! It now needs to change from vacuum to mop automatically and clean itself (maybe install some water base and bin). When this happen we will have a truly autonomous floor cleaner. Thanks
6:37 I love how the robot almost feels like he is disgusted by the fake poop, the way the brushes stop and the way he turns around. I can almost hear him screaming EWWWW
Poop was real!
@@lijie6431 To be honest, I was watching it and thinking, man this guy takes things seriously, he went out of his way to poop on his own floors just to properly test out the robot!
@@davinderc I. Poo all the time

“who the heck crap at the frik floor”
I got my t8 in October. This is the product I don’t regret buying. Recommend.
I think you are better than any other "review" channel because you actually buy the product and do real tests on it
I've been following your channel for a while. And i am just waiting for the robot vacuums/mops to be advanced enough to buy one. I don't want too much hassle setting it up and maintaining it. And i think we are just about there. Maybe i will buy this Ozmo T8, or i will wait a few months, and see what else you will review :-)
Dang it! I just got my RoboRock S5 Max yesterday lol
By the way, thank you for your videos bc I was overwhelmed with the choices between steam mops, robo vacs, and cordless vacuums. Watching you test everything and use data to decide winners is exactly what I needed.
I’ve also just got my first steam mop and I’m saving for a Dyson V11 outsize (to replace my 4 year old V8 animal that doesn’t have enough battery) thanks to you
I also want to get the S5 Max! How's the experience so far?
I got this and two reasons are that it will have a self emptying option and vibrating mop. Really hope you test that vibrating mop!. One CON - it can only save two floors (vs 4 for RoboRock) so hopefully an update will change that. But yeah otw its pretty amazing. And its very quiet (you often measure that?). With the modules its basically future proof! Only other competition is the new RoboRock S6 MaxV but that won’t have self emptying or the vibrating mop, so its really in a class by itself for a while. Really enjoy your channel!
Great reviews. I have been researching robovacs for ages but 10 minutes after seeing your review I ordered this vac. THanks for all your hard work and reviews.
Which one?
Wow! the battery on this one is insane. The technology is getting better and better each day, I can't imagine what gonna show us the next time!
Btw, I think he forgot to mention it, but it costs $800 on the official website.
I'd definitely change my roomba 980 for this one.
I know I forgot to mention how much cheaper they are offering this one compared to the 960
He never mentions specific pricing. You get a link and have to click. Vacuum wars is no dummy - it's all about the clicks!
are vee also... pricing may vary by region/time
@@VacuumWars The T8 is 800 smackaroos. Steep.
@@Bekka241 i mean you pay what you get. right?
Your channel is just absolutely awesome!
Please do a comparison video with Ecovacs deebot ozmo t8 aivi vs Roborock S6 MaxV. Thank you
Missed you this week, Chris. Happy Memorial Day!
Very informative. Thanks so much.
Love the content and all of the data! My wife and mother-in-law are wanting a robot vacuum so this has been awesome. However I have a newbie question. I have a multi-floor house. What is the best approach for that? Will this vacuum allow for that or do I need separate devices per floor?
thanks to you i bought my first robot vacuum. ive settled for the roborock s5 max for 400€. im super happy with it. im so glad i dont have to mop/vacuum the floors anymore.
They are pretty amazing. I was certain the robot vacuums were a gimmick that would never replace a "real" vacuum. And maybe they can't entirely replace a real vacuum, but they certainly can make it stay in the closet most of the time.
And if my memory is correct the 2 tabs where the dustbin goes can be poked out for the clean base attachment and the vibrating mop in the back has a power outlet for it in the back of the machine as well. Feels modular in essence
Love your channel ... That being said can you please start including a “cloud connectivity”/“cloud dependency” (and thus planned obsolescence/hackability) and privacy section for the privacy and more software-conscious???
This would be a welcome addition!
Adding R2D2 sound template to your Xiami is possible, as an example
I'm guessing Ecovacs is a Chinese owned company?
@@AnontheGOAT I thought it was German, could be wrong.
SkavenUK no they’re Chinese based. Off of their website: “ECOVACS ROBOTICS has expanded from its home market in China to establish strong sales subsidiaries in Japan, Germany and the US.”
Great review! Thank you!
@5:20 "we tested in a variety of ways"
CLEARLY LOL
Love the new data table!
Awesome, thanks!
Thank you for this video, it is great! The s6 maxv comes out june 6th. Will you be doing a head to head? I want to buy one of these 2 buy am not 100% sure on which one. From what Ive seen they are almost identical.
My quick T8 AIVI review: Coming from an upgrade from Deebot 950 i'm satisfied to say that the T8 AIVI is superior. It has successfully avoided phone charging cables which sometimes get left dangling from the side table / bed. It has also avoided night slippers, shirts and socks. The T8 AIVI truly is a smart vacuum which you can leave unattended _finally_!!. Great for my parents who are not tech savvy, I've not yet received a call from them with an issue or assistance. (when vs the 950)
Some side effects with the T8 AIVI include: slower competition time. It seems to slow down many times when it see's something that might not be right, like a reflection from the tiles, or a rug. It will also run over a rug over and over as it experiments with it. I've seen it spin around the same location between a rug and carpet about 8 times till it decided "ok its a rug that's a little bumpy when stepped on, noted!". cool though :)
Conclusion: If you keep your house tidy all the time before starting the vacuum, then the 950 is perfect and spending the extra on the T8 might not be beneficial for you. But if you want the comfort to leave the house unattended without worrying about what you might left on the ground, the T8 AIVI might be worth your investment!
The other features like the video camera to spy on your pet or kids isn't really a feature that I see myself using. It seems to work, with some latency, but as I already have google cameras setup, I don't really need this.
Salam, plz mujhe kuch apne vacuum cleaner k bare main batayen kis carpets bhi theek se saaf kerts hai ? Or aap ne kahan se liys or kitne ka ? Or abhi tak kaam ker raha hai ? Mujhe lena hai
Thanks for the excellent review! It helped to pick this one up and a week later we are extremely happy with it. You mention that you can't define room area or something along those lines - well you can actually - you can edit map merging and dividing areas.
Are you still happy with your machine. Sooo many don't buy reviews on Amazon....
@@DJunclepaul2nd yes! By all means! My wife says it's one of the last things she would give up if she had to.
There are couple if kinks in software, e.g. if it does livingroom and bedroom door is shut it will update the map like if the bedroom is blocked (can explain in details if you like), but I learnt to live around them.
Having the autoempty bin, I put the original base station on the second floor, and now I just bring it upstairs, start the autocleean and collect it one hour later.
As with reviews in general - people write them either when they are frustrated or Highly excited hence its hard to have non-frustration biased reviews. Just look at insurance companies reviews - they all have 1.x stars. Same for PayPal.
Anyhow, this is a good robot. Navigation algo is careful not to shove around your stuff and for me it's something I prefer over the speed.
And yes, you have to put up with the fact that it can see and hear everything that happening in your hope and potentially send it straight to Chinese government.
I opted for the version without the camera. It works very well however it does mean it will not avoid cords at all (it will simply climb over bigger cords but get stuck on smaller ones).
Hey brotha I love your videos. Great information! Can you please do a video on the OZMO T8 + ? Maybe the pro mopping attachment also?
I’d love a comparison of this vacuum (which is the most expensive Deebot) with the Deebot 920 (which is the cheapest version).
i fucking love this channel but have no clue why, its vacuum cleaners and im 15
Lol
answer : money
6:38 LOL, well done sir! Well done!
Great review. ! Have you done a review on Liectroux C30B? Any thoughts? Thanks
Will you get the self-emptying bin and pro-mop attachment now that they are available?
Thank you man for the review.. great channel.. have you got the new roborock S6Maxv? I can’t wait to decide which once I’m going for.
How does this compare to the Roomba S9+ for vacuuming and the Braava Jet M6 for mopping? Your videos are great, thank you!
There are a growing number of reviews saying the software was not great about creating the initial maps, taking multiple attempts to build a room map. Also, there are complaints about it missing full rooms all together, from time to time, for no noticeable reason, it just skipped rooms (this is later on after maps were complete). Any comments about these 2 issues many people have reported on this vac?? Thanks for an awesome and informative channel!!
I am not having those issues with mine, and I still use it regularly.
Congrats on 100 K subs. One day you will have 1 million subs and I will have been here since u had four Thousand subs lol.
Keep up the great work 👍😀
Do you already know when you will test the new Roborock S6 MaxV?
Are you planning to retest with the future self clean base? Any idea when they plan to release that?
I just grabbed one of these renewed on Amazon for $250. We'll put it through it's paces. Currently using a Wyze robot vac with an impressive 27,500 minutes of cleaning time on it but we're wanting the mopping feature and smarter object detection since the kids always leave junk scattered around.
Great Channel! We are looking at buying the Ecovacs Deebot Ozmo AIVI (+emptying Bin) over the Roomba S9+. You mentioned you were going to use the Deebot at home, how would you compare the two robots after home use? I called Ecovac twice to ask a few questions, but their support was overseas and they were struggling to answer my questions which makes me concerned as to the support I will receive if I ever have issues with their product. Any information on your experience with their robot would be greatly appreciated.
Just bought a T8 AIVI based on this review. Very happy so far. Now I am eager to see the review on the pro mopping attachment. There are a couple out there, but they seem cursory and non-scientific compared to your methods.
Hi, I love your reviews. I am wondering if you have reviewed or tried the Deebot T8 (not AIVI). I hear from other reviewers that it is quite similar but without the ability to view the robot's view on your smartphone.
I'm still not changing my good old trilobite but it certainly is impressive!
Love your channel, there is so many youtubers reviewing stuff but all these tests wich you are performing makes you a real profesional. I've just bought Dreame XR - cordless vacuum from Xaiomi (not sure is it avaliable in US), maybe you can give it a shot? Greetings from Poland
Awesome video! Thank you!! AI is a bit scary for me. But what do you think about the Proscenic M7 Pro, (or Lenovo T1 as it's called in Scandinavia)? I bought it, and I love it! Would be cool to see if it puts up with your standards!!! 🤩🙌🏻 Cheers!🥂
Hi, I love your channel. I was considering buying T8 Aivi, however there are quite a few bad reviews online about it's navigation issues and having to remap the house multiple times a week and month. Apparently it gets easily confused and skips areas and rooms or cleans in no go zones. I can see that many people have returned it for that reason.
Did you have any similar issues?
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Any thoughts on decent secondary vacuums? I live in a 3 story townhome and logging one vacuum up and down is just not working out. Looking for a reasonably priced, compact, and ok overall performance.
Please when you have it, do a comparison of Roborock S6 MaxV and T8 AIVI
Another masterpiece! Great job! I love my $229 Diebot 930 more than my $1200 iRoomba S9
Can you do a review on the Hoover smartwash pet I've been looking for one and I couldn't find one on your page I saw one where you put it with the competition but I was wondering if you could do one on its own to see how it the specs are with the new pet version
Nice video, Is there going to be a review coming for the Ilife A9?
Can you do a video explaining what's going on with Sharks new upright line? I dont really understand whats the purpose of their newer models.
Hi Chris! I wanted to ask you if you have managed to try the alternative suction plate VS the main brush head plate? I saw that it's Ecovacs recommendation to use suction plate in areas with large amounts of hair or long hair to prevent tangles in the roller brush... (Although the little cutter brush is really a nifty tool when it comes to cutting them off!)
Great video. I’m looking to replace my ageing Roomba 630. One of my gripes with it, as a home worker, is it’s quite loud. Would be interesting to see volume/dB included in robot reviews :)
theres a quiet mode. its very silent. but not as strong on suction. my floor stays clean so i have no complains
Are you planning to do any review of the T8+ and the differences between this camera A.I. thing versus the 3D detection/lack of camera on the T8+?
Thank you for your videos we just ordered this guy based on your reviews and your more recent videos like the Best Robot Vacuums 2020 Edition! Thank you!
Update: this thing was a POS! On top of that Ecovacs has the absolute worst customer service I have ever used. The robot failed to create a map of our house after 40 attempts. It could create a map of smaller rooms but failed to be able to consistently map our living room. The robot would start to over lay maps on top of others it had already laid down. The technical support of ecovacs is garbage. I am a developer and there are a lot of “cool” things this does versus the roomba. But the biggest thing that the roomba does better is that it actually works. Always returns to the doc, always cleans every sq inch of the rooms and hasn’t gotten stuck once. The ecovacs would get stuck because it couldn’t find the dock. Of course after multiple calls to their horrid customer service we returned the POS and our life with the i7 has been great! We haven’t felt the need to watch it because it never gets confused.
Indeed. I7, thank you
I'm intressed to buy the new xiaomi vacuum cleaner, it's called "xiaomi mi vacuum mop p", have u planned to do a review? It has the new mopping feature that when it's activated he clean the floor in a Y she shape. Great video !
(sorry for my english ahah)
Could you do a review on the Deebot T8+ ? Thanks !!
Thanks :)
Can you try this proscenic m7 pro ? a lot of ppl tested it but I love your test protocol, I would like to see how it can perform it, thanks :)

Very interrsting. Thanks for this test.
What about comparing it to roborock s6 max V...
Great review, when are u going to test the new Roborock E4? Really appreciate Ur videos
I do have an E4 which I bought the other day Its still in the box though, probably soon.
Thanks for your videos. I've been watching for a while. Recently I installed laminate plank flooring and I'm curious about using a robot vacuum. I've read that the spinning parts can damage the finish on the floor. I would love any recommendations or advice!
You will want to check with the floor manufacturer.
Great content..I’ve been looking to upgrade to a better robot Vac and wanted to know if you did a comparison between this robot Vac and the Roborock s6 max v?
Great review! Would you know what’s the difference between the T5 and the OZMO 950. When I compare both on the website I see no difference.
Thanks
950 and t5 are the same. I believe the difference is between the t8 and t5 are enhanced object detection that's about it along with auto self-empty bin can work with t8
4:00 when your screen is so dirty that you don't know if the vacuum has done good job or not xD
Ya
@Vacuum Wars . May ask you to test the T8/OZMO 950 cfm without the main brush? Since ECOVACS ships those robot with direct sunction option I was wondering what will be the airflow.. Thank you!
Holly crap I was never into robot cleaners, but this kind of use of AI just might have sold me on the idea!
it's not hard to pick up a broom or mop, but if it can do it without being anoying and needing that much maintenance hot damn!
I guess this is one of my options together with roborock s5 max (if its available). If I ever buy one for my house particularly on 2nd floor. Still I need to move some furniture's if it doesn't get under it.
Does all robo-vacuums detect stairs while cleaning? If its near it.
Love it! Love it! Love it! Have you heard any info about the self emptying bin and vibrating mopping attachment that are supposed to be coming out for the T5/T8?
I have heard something like that, I cant imagine how that will work though with the placement of the dust bin currently. We will see.
@@VacuumWars This chanel kinda goes over it. ruclips.net/video/e20twIyUNWY/видео.html Could be a new bin and you pop out the bottom two plastic covers...
@@blainek9344 I saw that vid too, I just mentioned it in another comment I posted before I saw this one.
If Ecovacs does supply another bin, which I also think is very possible, I wonder if it might have a bin-full sensor since other reviews have said the current T8 doesn't (and nor do the Shark IQ or the Proscenic M5 apparently). It seems like a good thing for a self emptying vac to be able to know when its bin is full and needs emptying and right now I think only the iRobot i7+ & s9+ have that?
@@julianfp1952 You would think that, my Roomba 870 has that featureso I would assume they could do that with this high-tech of a robot...
Finally! A cfm comparison!
Great Review. Thank you for all the reviews on your Channel. I didn't see if you tested the
Deebor Ozmo 920. Costco has it for $399.99 right now. Would you recommend?
I have one and my parents got one because they loved it so much. It's a pretty nice machine, although you may need to nitpick the settings a little.
Could you please review the difference between Ecovac Osmo T8 Regular and T8 AIVI. I would like to know specifically if there is any difference in power / cfm between the 2 or is it just the camera on the AIVI. Thanks.
Huh, kinda curious how it decided the cones were obstacles after all, given it seemed happy pushing them around at first.
Can it recognise multiple floors as well? It will help to have multiple fixed bases and just one robot to cover two storey house
Yes! Please do a mopping bot competition video
Hi, have you ever tried the Cecotec robot vacuums? I would love to see a review from you. Their price is affordable but I just can’t find any as good reviews as yours about them!

haha, getting closer to the age of the e-maid.
Will never buy another robovac that doesn't have a self emptying feature. Its just too amazing. With my S9+ the only thing I need to worry about is cords and the dog bowl. No go zone for the dog bowl and we just don't leave cords laying around. It's perfectly sized to enter our kitchen stools and takes about 30 minutes to figure out how to get out if not just give up, so I use bungy cords on the bottom to prevent that. I also use them on the right side of our love seat and both sides of our couch to prevent it from getting into our subwoofer and electronic connections that are next to and inbetween the two pieces of furniture. Other than that we've had 5 months of nearly flawless cleanings, about 1 mess up every other month, and have used 1 bag; but will be changing out the 2nd bag in August. The first bag still had more than enough room, but I want to change it out April, August, and December.
In 5 months I've had two errors where the S9+ just stopped in the middle of the room and said it was stuck... Absolutely nothing was hindering it so it must have been random glitches, but the first time was coincidentally the only time our dog had ever taken a dump in our house. She was sick and couldn't hold it. Thank god it glitched out and got stuck because I wouldn't want to clean that out. So suffice it to say I'm waiting for the next wave of robovac nav features to solve that.
Now I don't think iRobot needs to ditch vslam, not that I wouldn't want lidar, as adding two offset 170* cameras on the front could really allow it to navigate like this deebot. Stereoscopic measurements can be taken for the camera overlap and the robot would have very good peripheral coverage of the floor to more readily see items it would want to avoid.
Thank you for the great review.
Would love to see a comparison of this and the roborock S5 Max please.
First time buying one if these and these are my top 2 choices
Yeah we would like to see a compare between this 2. They are aslo in my top list 😆
Where in the app is this on demand live video feature I just bought the eco-vac t8 3-D and I don’t see that option.
i hope they upload their updated algorithms or labeled data to the cloud. to improve the next gen.
Hi, is possible do you do a test to show us how good are the circular design vacuum cleaners robots to clean corners? Roborock vs Ecovacs corner cleaning combat??
Are you planning to test the Miele scout rx2 home vision?
How does this one compare to S5 or the normal S6? I'm looking to purchase my first vacuum in the end of this month.
Do You plan on doing more tests of xiaomi jimmi line of cordless vacuums ?
Have you ever done one of the Panasonic models? They have a triangular design to get corners, I'm incredibly curious if it's actually better at corners than the square and round shapes...
Impressive! Can yopu please display also in international metrics like Centimeters please!
Nice video. I am just wondering how do you do the video part that you show the path where the robot vacuum has taken? Thank you :)
Thank you! I keep that little trick to myself - though I can tell you I didn't use any particularly special software or apps.
Hi. How it will compare against the previous Ozmo 950?
I would love to see a comparison vid between this one and the Roborock S5 max. I am currently trying to figure out what to buy.
From what I see so far, the AI looks nice but for a normal sized apartment, the AI and 10m sensor is not worth the price diff between those 2.
Hey Vacuum Wars, can you do a video on the Haier TAB robot vacuum? It's the worlds first hair detangling robot vacuum that has blades that cut up the hairs before sucking it into its dust bin. I'm really interested in it and would like your opinion of the product
Thanks!
Best vacuum channel by far
Can you tell me how it does when it comes to approaching stairs? I have a ranch with a basement and I definitely don't want it tumbling down the stairs. Is this something that I just set up a no-go line for?
Are you familiar with Cecotech Conga 3690? The mop actually scrubs the floor in a way I've never seen before. Best mop I've seen on a robot vacuum so far.
Have you ever tested a low cost brand named Ikohs? Any thoughts about their robot vacuum?
Please add a section with vintage robots like old scrubbing scooba and roomba. I would love a dirt dog review
Amazing video like always! I’m really happy with its specs but I’m also debating between the T8 AIVI and the Roborock S6 MaxV ,, I hope you will make a video comparing the specs (battery life, mopping details, and 1v1 test of both) also if possible would be the new intelligence technology they both have, I wonder which is smarter ;) ?! Thank you for a great video!
