  • This two hats were made on the same knitting machine which is addiExpress Kingsize Knitting Machine (46 needles). Can be made on Sentro 48 needles as well.
    At minute 8:12 I have notice that I have a noticeable tucked stitch that had to be fixed. You can skip that part or watch it to see how you can fix it. If you would like to skip start at 14:50.

    Thankyou so much for this video. What a great idea one layer! I was making the double thick hats but now it’s summer and they are too warm. I make newborn hats for my daughters midwifery business. Love using my addi as much as I can. Thankyou again. Well done.

    I will be starting to make newborn hats for our hospital. I think the single layer hats are ideal. I will probably do some of both. They are all so sweet.

    ❤ Thank you kind lady. You just solved so many of my problems. I have a customer who likes to wear light weight beanies in the spring and summer. I've been trying to figure out how to do a clean stylish finish to the cast off edge of a single layer. And showing how to fix drop/tucked stitches was just chef kiss. Many thanks to you

    Hi. Thanks for this as this is exactly what I have been looking for. But I have a problem, because after finishing off the work, the beanie doesn't stretch as much so I couldn't actually make the beanie fit my head as the opening was too small. I am not sure what I was doing wrong but I did exactly the same thing in knitting the brim.

    • @AlinaHeraDesigns
      @AlinaHeraDesigns  6 месяцев назад +2

      When you make the brim (crochet part) make sure that the loops are loose like here at the minute 19:59. After you finish the first round of single crochet and before you remove the waste yarn, try the beanie on. If it is too tight, then unravel that row and redo it using a bigger crochet hook for the brim (6 mm, or 6.5 mm instead of 5.5 mm). Thank you for watching!

      Also, you can chain-one in-between each crochet edging stitch which I've heard a few others say...genius for a tight crocheter like me!

    Hi are those weights on you hat that you put as you work?

    • @AlinaHeraDesigns
      @AlinaHeraDesigns  Год назад +1

      Yes, I use the weights because I notices that I don't have so many tucked stitches when I use the weights.
