- The Last of Us Part 2, this video features Ellie, Dina, Dina's son Jesse Junior (JJ) and Tommy spending time on a farm. Ellie, Dina and her son have settled in a farm and are seemingly living a peaceful life until Ellie decided to leave the farm and go after Abby to finally get her revenge due to the fact that she (Ellie) can't sleep, eat and suffers from a post traumatic stress disorder because she knows that Abby is somewhere at large. This video also contains Ellie and Dina's first kiss, the night they hooked up. Joel can be seen in the video as well, enjoy.

what many people don't understand is that ellie didn't leave because of tommy.. she did it for herself. she searched for a way to find peace. if you guys have read her journal you would know that her ptsd had become even harder, she didn't eat and sleep, couldn't get abby out of her head and saw joel literally everywhere

Tommy was being rational and saying “what if we get hit by hunters again?” and stuff about how they cant leave jackson bc the town will be vulnerable. The thing u guys don’t get is Tommy didn’t guilt trip her. Tommy does think about her feelings. He’s just as miserable as her. The only difference is Tommy wouldn’t ask Ellie to leave, ever. the moment Joel died it was Ellie who was keen on killing Abby. Ellie still wanted that but she already have a family. If Tommy is strong enough, isn’t limping, and he can physically go he wouldn’t go tell Ellie to finish the Job. he is perfectly capable back on seattle and he will certainly do it himself if he had the chance.

@@pinklion8882 What Tommy did wasn’t right but when it comes to Ellie I don’t exactly think she felt guilt tripped. I think Tommy was actually an „excuse“ for her to finally leave and get to Abby. She probably has thought about it for a long time but Tommy being pushy about getting Abby probably pushed Ellie to take the step

When Ellie told Joel that she doesn't need his help at the dance, that was literally one of the last times they spoke and it rectify's the sadness and guilt Ellie mustve felt, and it really emphasises her mission to hunt them all down
@@jekavactv probably all the more reason why she was pissed off, but she knew that killing Abby would never mend her relationship with Joel, so I can see why she spared her. I'd like to see a DLC however where she goes after Abby again after what Tommy told her in the outro cutscene

It's gotta be the game with the less ludonarative dissonance actually. Like the violence in this world has a heavy weight and it not gratifying in any way shape or fun. The PTSD Ellie goes through makes me feel just so bad.
That’s why in the end she spares Abby, to prove that if she could forgive her then she would have ultimately forgiven Joel. This is why the moment is intercut with flashes of a scene we later see, the last conversation they ever shared together, where Ellie tells Joel that she doesn’t know if she can ever forgive him but would like to try.
In their final confrontation, Abby is a proxy for Joel
its sad that the last words she ever said to him was, Joel fucking get up
When you look closely, you can see Ellie doesn’t even want Tommy to ask her to go. She’s over it.

i don’t think she is over it, though. she isn’t happy in that segment of the game and tommy is just a catalyst. i think she needed to go in order to get that sense of closure, even though she didn’t do what she set out to do, she needed to confront the thing that was giving her nightmares and wouldnt let her sleep, wouldn’t let her eat. i’m not sure she would have ever moved on from it had she not gone.

She is definitely not over it, her hate boiled down to a very base form, fear, she still suffers from ptsd and needs a way to cope and let go. Thank god she could at least do that.

It made me feel sonkuch more sorry for what Ellienwent through. I felt shebwas broken inside since the end of the 2nd day and the 3rd day got everything worst she wasn't purposefully wanting to kill people but it happened they crossed road with Owen and Mel she had guild about killing Mel after ward. Like they didn't fully deserved to to dienbut they've crossed road at a bad timing and didn't cooperate with Ellie and it happened. When Ellie nearly died and Dina too I've had enough of violence at that point and felt sorry for all of them. Loved Dina I'm glad she had thebchance to survive as without Lev Abby would have killed everyone man.
Those are broken people in a broken world too.

Poor tommy. The fact that he can’t go avenge his brother is sad enough that he has to resort to asking Ellie to do it. And then he gets pissed. I’m glad he survived, one of my favorite characters, but he came back with scars
The thing is, he seemed to accept, in the theatre with Jessie and Ellie, the fact that Abby was going to get to live, in the interest of getting everyone back home alive. So it seems out-of-character for him to be like, “Oh, you gotta go kill them now, Ellie.” If he was still gung ho on Abby dying, why didn’t he go out with Jessie and Ellie while they were all still in Seattle and they knew Abby was near? Because Abby crippled him, that changed his mind? He knew the risks when he set out from Jackson, on his own.

Watching this after knowing the end of the game hurts like hell. Ellie had everything.

I don't care what anyone says. This game was a masterpiece. This scene was my personal favorite part of the story because they are literally living their dreams. Even if its short lived its beautiful to see. Especially in the world they live in full of monsters. Thanks to the uploader for saving me like 15 hours of game play to see it again : )

JD 436 Nawwwwwww he really didn’t though. No matter what you think the game had incredible highs and lows. Dramatic twists and turns. And aspects that are clearly out of your grasp like the effects of PTSD brought on by the traumatic events required for survival. Just because you can’t get past Joel lives up to the age old “In this line of work, your first mistake will be your last” doesn’t mean that anything you think is correct, or matters. I’ll buy the next game and I’m sure I’ll love it as much as the first two. And I KNOW that I’m not the only one. The series is doing just fine, it doesn’t need your worthless approval.

maybe they had been around since the outbreak, just kinda chilling. since the place is so quiet and isolated, there probably weren't a lot of infected there to bother them. im also pretty sure the area is close to jackson, so maybe there were people coming around and maintaining the place before ellie & dina moved in

Tommy's so goddamn frustrating. He's the reason I hated this sequence so much.
He was literally begging Ellie not to go avenge Joel the first time, when his death mattered the most. But only after shit hits the fan, after he's crippled, he decides to get vengeance. Why? What's his motivation? It wasn't Joel, cuz he was reluctant to go the first time. The issue should've been done and dusted. Then he gives Ellie shit for not going when she now has the MOST reason not to go.
Bro betrayed his wife’s wishes, left on his own, got 3 of his own town’s children basically to follow him recklessly, comes back home with only 2 of them (has to confront jesses parents who are undoubtedly angry and depressed), hets a bullet shot near his brain, loses an eye, is permanently disabled, his wife basically separated from

Seeing humanity in your enemy and being able to forgive may do a lot more than revenge (in certain situations).
I really hope Dina will reappear in TLoUS 3 and take Ellie back. They are so cute together with JJ.
But I understand why Dina left. There’s only so much you can do to stop your loved one from self-destruction and at some point you must leave to avoid destructing yourself too. ❤

It's so terrible but I can't even blame Ellie for leaving. Remember how Abby's own life and relationships were fucked up by her trauma? She hated the person she became. Ellie had to actually *see* the traumatic events happen as they did -- she'd be stuck there forever with no closure, and as long as she doesn't eat or sleep, she can't really be healthy.
So good that jj got his fathers eyes at least jesse would be remebered

At first when I saw this scene, I thought, “How did they have a baby?” But shortly after thinking it, I remembered how Dina was pregnant beforehand.
Ellie witnessed so many horrors in her life but nothing compares to Joel's murder aka the only father figure she ever knew...It's very disturbing to see this depth in a game.
Joel was such a great father to Ellie. It breaks my heart to see how she shut him out.
I feel that Ellie used Dina to fill a hole in her heart left by Joel, but the memories attacked her so much that she sort of realized this settled down life isn’t going to help her.

@@leoornstein8739 I was under the impression that at the time they set out from Jackson, she wasn’t aware she was pregnant. That it wasn’t until they were already on their way before she realized she was late and she started having morning sickness. Depending on where in Wyoming Jackson actually is, the trip from there to Seattle, Washington could take awhile. Actually, how did they even know the Wolves were in Seattle? The only clue they had to go on was “Washington Liberation Force”but Washington is a decent sized state.

Seriously tho, surely watching Joel being brutally murdered was a huge trauma for Ellie, but if u consider all shes been through that alone wouldnt be the only reason for her PTSD. Her thought of dying for the cure being her only way to give meaning to her life also portrait that her problems are were just Abby. Ellie has been through way too much and killing Abby definitely wouldnt fix anything, but to think that she chose that and left Dina to later spare Abby and come back to an empty farm is yet more aggravating. It could take a long time for a p3, if even will there be one, and the fact that this might be how we say goodbye to Ellie it was surely a pitiful way to end. Well, cant say im surprised considering how Joel journey ended.
In truth, the whole farm experience, tho wholesome, still felt like some sort of utopia from their harsh reality but still would have left a sweeter impression on Ellies future.

We can blame Tommy for being a catalyst for Ellie, we can't blame Tommy for Ellie's actions though. She decided to go. And yes, it's not like she had that much of an option with her PTSD, but that's why life is so complicated and not as easy to be black or white. Dina doesn't have to take Ellie back, in fact she probably shouldn't, Ellie is not in a healthy mental space to raise a child.
at first i didn't really like Dina, but as the story goes on and they made a family and live in a place where everything is safe and normal. But Ellie leaving to avenge Joel's death?..The only thing I'm expecting in part 3 is for her to go back to Dina :,(

I know people like to shit on JJ since he’s “pointless” or whatever, but honestly I think it’s cathartic and wholesome to see Ellie as a mom/step-mom after everything that happened. It would’ve been nice if they ended the game here to show she’s still struggling but healing.
He's definitely not pointless in-universe since he's part of the new generation. And I just love their little family, so I'm biased.
I hate that Tommy just comes to the farm, basically tells Ellie that if she doesn’t kill Abby then Joel’s death would have meant nothing and completely destroys Ellie’s happiness…like dude…I know he’s your brother but let your niece have her happy ending man!
