Installed and found my cluster time to show dashes, went around the globe to find the reasons, then decided to relearn the video multiple times and found out I missed the green fiber optic cable! Make sure you watch 5:51!!
For anyone doing this installation, depending on your cars configuration - running aux to armrest may not be necessary. Chances are if you do not have a Combox you dont need to, but verify it works first.
@@rickymx50 Theres no known way to tell definitively. What model and year is your F30? Look in the trunk and lift up the floorboard, if there is a slim silver box (Combox) to the left of the fuse box, you WILL have to run aux to armrest. If there is nothing there there’s a good chance you don’t have to worry about it.

You should be able to adjust the brightness on the screen. I haven't had this experience with mine, but the opposite. I had to install a blue light filter because it was too bright at night.

Will this headunit upgrade change the audio output to flat allowing me to mess with the equaliser as all i have is base trebble controls with the stock unit and apparently the eq already is set on the base unit so you cant change it much.

Hi, for no sound, please connect an AUX cable and don't forget to change it on BMW original settings. And steering wheel buttons works only on OEM, please.

there should be a rest button on the back of the unit. You might need a paperclip. Audio might be related to the optical cable, do you know if you have one? Did you also report this to the manufacturer?
Would this work on my 2017 340i? I have the 8” screen and I don’t have the full screen carplay, in order for me to have fullscreen carplay I have to update my software and that would cost me $200++ So I’m thinking might as well upgrade to a bigger screen

I installed an NBT unit in my 2017 Mini Copper with the 6.5 screen. Sold the Copper and started driving my 2013 328i with CIC. Decided to see if the NBT would work and it does perfectly. They’re both BMW so that helped. The Cooper has the combox integrated with the head unit while the 328 doesn’t so in order to get sound, you’ll have to use the aux plug. Works fine though.

Hi mate, I have a 2018 318i with 6.5 inch screen, factory fitted reverse camera with no gps. It is an ID6 EVO version with a base model audio system. I want to upgrade to exactly the same unit that you have installed. My car does not come with an aux input port in the middle armrest compartment and only has a USB port. Can I still get this working on my car, the installation seems straight forward and I do not see any issues there. I wish someone can answer my query and I can go ahead with the purchase

Hello everyone I’ve got my android headunit for my 328i F30 but i have a big issue just curious if anyone had this issue and know how to fix it Its the iDrive knob when i use the android system via iDrive knob it works on original system at the same tome so i was browsing my music library on carplay and i did change the car BMW Profile and sometimes i rest tyre monitor and even make calls without being intend to so its very annoying i partly fixed the call issue by deleting original bmw Bluetooth from my phone but still both android and original systems works at the same time via iDrive knob right now I’m using the android system by touch only so i can avoid the problem what should i do
I just installed koason qualcomm 8core 4+64gb android 10.25 inch screen on a bmw x6 2010 but RUclips and other sound apps do not work or show sounds. Do you have any idea how to solve this issue?
I did not recommend this android system, it doesn’t come with manual instructions at all my back cámara never worked and I couldn’t connect my phone with the apple play also is not cheap at all.

Newer models of the screen shouldn't need it. You can ask the manufacturer if the android auto is pre installed before you purchase the screen

No. The calls should go through the BMW side, you can select this in the menu settings on the android side.

Check the 2 screws that hold in the actual screen. There is an inset that they go into, there might be a chance that the insert broke.

This one is the CIC. The manufacture should be able to tell you this on your website if it is for CIC or NBT of of the unit will work with either.

If you are having a no signal issue, please check a wiring loom.

There are screens for both, so just make sure you get the right one.

Sound that comes from the unit itself will come through the au settings. You have to adjust the units volume and aux volume
