First of all the nerf on his powers was way too exaggerated, he really became a punch bag to every lesser character and lost too many abilities and if you add that a mortal whose has never fight or used the hammer was doing better than him you have an absolute disaster. But even if you were to like that this good writer broke the lore countless of times: Odin powers not being able to lift Mjolnir, Odín himself being beaten by she Thor (even while he got the Odin force), Mjolnir and Mangog being destroyed by the sun, and the new status quo of the hammer being a goddess trapped in a thing that supposedly Odin was never able to wield or control. Plus no one likes feminist bs, so there you have why Aaron's Thor after the god butcher arc (this being one of my all time favourites) is garbage.

You forgot the hammer that Storm used During the Asgardian wars. It's a real thing. Loki tried to get Storm to replace Thor as the god of thunder. He had a hammer made for her and everything.

From my memory Thunderstrike's mace was just as powerful as the Hammer. Also Eric Masterson's time as Thor was amazing writing for the time.

Yeppers! Eric Masterson only replaced Thor because Loki tricked Thor into killing him, and was then banished into the depths of Eric's mind. It was a great story, and Thunderstrike is one of the better weapons, to tell the truth.

Not as powerful, in fact the character even says it towards the beginning of the series. But it is definitely too low on this list. Should be at least 2 or 3 rankings higher. It was crafted similar to mjolnir and stormbreaker.
I don't know why they are crapping on Eric Masterson/ Thunderstrike in this video. He was a great character and had a good story line.
Mjolnir can do everything Stormbreaker can do and more.
Aside from that it’s the ThorForce that powers the hammer. Thor Odinson is more powerful than BRB or any other Hammer bearer.
@O G yea he is, he has something that every god has that is called the godforce which gives him many abilities that a mortal could never possess being the godblast the most notorious of these, then you add that because of his hybrid nature he is the strongest of the Asgardians I think there is pretty much no doubt left that Thor is more powerful that BRB. With that said Bill it's still a tough opponent to beat and as in life being more capable doesn't instantly grants you the victory (except in their latest fight, it was not even close)

To be fair, the Marvel Thor is just a fantastical copy of Thor from Norse Mythology, and yes, thats pretty ironic. Norse Thor is an actual deity. Marvel Thor is just an extraterrestrial. Norse Thor didn't need mystical "Odinforce" to use the hammer, or use lightning, change the weather, etc. He was just strong enough to do so whether he had the hammer or not. Marvel Thor required the Odinforce to be inscribed into the hammer to be able to use it, and needed to be worthy. Norse Thor was a ginger. Marvel Thor is a blond.
Marvel Thor is puny compared to Norse Thor, even if Marvel Thor is more popular.....likely due to adding all the mystical and magical elements to the Marvel lore.

You didn't say anything that goes against what I said. Yes, Marvel Thor is a fantastical version of the Norse deity, Thor. Marvel added all the bells and whistles to make him more appealing, giving Mjolnir and Thor special, mystical abilities. Norse Thor didn't need those special powers added to explain his abilities.
But like I said, Norse Thor is physically stronger. Marvel Thor requires supernatural intervention to compensate.

I forget which issue it was, but Thor and Thunderstrike were fighting over Mjolnir and Thor basically says Thunderstrike is just a man, and Thunderstrike has some comeback about being proud of that before layin the smack down.

Earth16-10 (@3:24) is how I first heard of Thor, or how I came to understand Thor. Not that he was a God, but he had the power of a God and was basically a god with the power ow Mew-mew the hammer. I didn't learn that he was an actual God till the movies came out and even then chose to think it was just a movie interpretation and didn't take it for much.... That's just my thoughts. In Norse mythology, mjolner is enchanted, however the enchantment was built in by dwarves, who made all of Asgard's enchanted weapons. Btw. Odin gave up his eye, in exchange for all of the knowledge in the worlds

Why does Thunderstrike get so much hate? Eric Masterson was an awesome character, he was more relatable then Thor. He lost custody of his son because of his superhero activities.

Mjolnir in 616 can reach the edge of the galaxy and back in a day. None of those other hammers have ever done that.
Here's the origin story of Mjolnir, as described in the Prose Edda: Loki made a bet with the dwarves Brokkr and Sindri that they couldn't make three items rivalling the glory of the artefacts made by the Sons Ivaldi, putting his own head on the line. To ensure that he won, Loki decided to mess with them, hoping that they wouldn't win. He failed to stop them from crafting Gullinbursti and Draupnir, but he managed to distract Brokkr for a moment when forging Mjolnir, causing it to come out with a shorter handle than expected. It still passed inspection and the rest of the Asgard commanded Loki to fulfil his side of the wager. Loki tried to quibble, stating that they'd have to take his head off at the neck, which he had not bet. The dwarves came to a compromise by seweing Loki's mouth shut.

@@danielseelye6005 I think he's referencing the "Korbinite" Easter egg from End Game. Gamora and Nebula are seen fighting some armor-clad aliens, and the closed caption reveals those aliens to be Korbinites. It was a detail that wasn't confirmed until after the movie left theaters and hit retail shelves/On-Demand streaming.
Storm breaker can’t do the God blast so it’s weaker
I have a sneaking suspicion that Odin would allow him to use the odinforce if it was a time of great peril. But the blast comes from the wielder not the hammer then. (Wait does myolnir shoot any energy? I'm pretty sure it doesn't grant any additional powers other than returning)
The Odinforce has nothing to do with the godblast nor mjolnir ,it's Thor's life energy harnessed into a singular attack which he can perform without the mallet (something Bill cannot do ,he's a cybernetically enhanced Korbinite notta god ie asgardian )
Now Bill does have a limited "Super" state where he bypasses his built in limiter which enhances his speed an strength for a short period of time but theres things Thor can naturally do with an without mjolnir that Bill would never be able to do

i agree that Stormbreaker is better although afaik Mjolnir can also open portals. my reason as to why Stormbreaker is better is that the enchantment placed on the hammer is bound to Bill. afaik, only Bill can use it and it's unconditional, unlike Mjolnir where anybody considered worthy can wield it.

Besides, Thor has greater feats with Mjolnir than BRB has with Stormbreaker because of the ThorForce.

the Thor-Force is an entirely different situation. even without Mjolnir Thor would do better than any other hammer bearer.
Glenn Salvilla that was a completely different and isolated situation with Fury ( who had the power of a Watcher at the time). He didn’t take Thor’s power, what he said made Thor doubt his position among the gods. It’s not like Cap, BRB, or anyone else could do that.
But when I really look at it perhaps Mjolnir and Stormbreaker are basically equal. It’s Thor himself that makes Mjolnir more powerful.

I always liked the axe versions of mjolnir better than the hammer. Ultimates thor mjolnir basically looks like stormbreaker but kinda bigger and not golden. It just looks cooler to have an axe head

If you have Stan Lee's ORIGIN OF MARVEL COMICS you'd see that on the last panel of Thor's origin that Thor was misspelled THORR.
@johnmburt1960 I was lucky enough to get 4 of Stan's ORIGINS books. The other 3 are...SON OF ORIGINS OF MARVEL COMICS, BRING ON THE BAD GUYS, and finally, THE SUPERHERO WOMEN. I don't know many Stan actually wrote in the series but those are the ones I have. All published by Simon and Shuster.

2020 update. Mjolnir is BY FAR the most powerful now. In Thor #2 that came out last week Thor shatters Stormbreaker with Mjolnir
