Ronnie's first two albums are among my favorite albums of all time!

Thanks for watching and commenting. Personally I was a bit let down by Now Look, but I felt he sure came back strong with Gimme Some Neck which is my personal favorite. I also love the debut. Thanks again.

Hi Alan - great video. I love Ronnie, he's such a talented guy. Ronnie is just a good time guy. The Faces were just rock n roll, a bit rough round the edges but they were just having a good time and they had some great songs. He was perfect for the Stones, again nothing to perfect but a great addition for them. Him and Keef - what a good time duo that is lolol. I love his art also - just amazing how talented he is. I've read his biography also - excellent. Cya Doug

Great video....I love all Ron Wood solo...hands down my favorite solo Stone....
Yes.....Gimme Some Neck...is phenomenal.....I love the New Barbarians.....1234 and Slide on This are also fantastic....thank you.....disagree with you on 1234.....She Never Told Me is fantastic....all of the tracks.....I love Ron Wood doing Chuck Berry....I saw Woody with Chuck Berry at the Ritz in NYC June 25th 1986....it was fantastic.....you really need to check out the Ron Wood Jimmy Reed tribute album Mr. Luck.....with Mick Taylor.....they are guitar weaving some great blues....

Thanks so much Larry. Yes the Jimmy Reed tribute is the only release I don’t have and I will get it at some point. I haven’t heard 1234 in years. Maybe decades. I have to give it another listen. I think I love Neck so much. I still play it and still love it so. So I was very disappointed when I got 1234 when it first came out. And at that time I played it and just never warmed to it. I’m gonna play it again. Thanks again for watching and commenting. I truly appreciate it.

Woody played F.U.C. Her at that show before Chuck came out.....when he performed with Bo it was replaced with They Don't Make Outlaws....also interesting is the track Buried Alive on Gimme Some Neck was a song Woody originally wanted to give to Clapton when he was helping out on the No Reason to Cry album....Clapton hated it.....it worked for Woody though....great riff....Jagger throwing back up vocals on the fade......

@@larrynolletti4594 I never heard that story - I can't even imagine Clapton doing Buried Alive. LOVE that song - that opening guitar riff is so raw and nasty - absolutely fantastic and yes Jagger chiming in at the end is awesome. I love F.U.C. Her too, but Outlaws is awesome - definitely cuts F.U.C. Her live (and yes I know it's from my dreaded 1234...lol). Which I will listen to again..lol. I didn't mention Seven Days....so glad Dylan gave him that one....love it.

@Mike Barooshian didn’t know the had that many albums. I have their history 2cd set and another best of as well. Have heard them yet. In my backlog. But will get to them. I do know about 5 of their songs. Definitely classics. Yea. I have to listen to them. I have so much stuff. Lol.

I disagree greatly with you on that second album and the song with Bobby Womack is absolutely GOLD!

That's fine. It's all personal taste. I like Now Look, but I just never had the desire to play it like the first and the third. Breathe On Me is an all time classic though, to me.

@Mike Barooshian All personal opinion and valid. Goes without saying I wish Wyman had stayed. But it was his decision. At that time they were still an “active” band releasing new material and touring for the new albums. Personally I loved the tours for voodoo lounge, bridges, bigger bang. No Security show I saw may have been the Stones show I ever saw. But they’ve been milking it live ever since and I no longer will pay the price to see the same songs over and over again.

Love this video! Never knew Ronnie’s discography was this size. I’ve heard so little of it. Couldn’t agree with you more about how great “Out Of Time” was performed live in Madrid, and how great it would be if The Stones played several deep cuts on tour. Mick has said that the band doesn’t want to disappoint any concert goers by leaving out the mega hits, but it would be wonderful to freshen things up for us die hard fans who have seen them performed over and over again. And The Stones have so many deep cuts that are truly great songs!

Thanks Rona. Yes couldn't agree more. I wonder how many big fans (like myself) have actually stopped going to see them because they're tired of paying so much money for the same songs. I'd pay to see Out Of Time - and more deeper cuts - that's for sure.

I do disagree with your rankings to some degree, but agree that Ronnie's solo career is well worth checking out.
I've said this many times, not only is I've Got My Own Album To Do my fave Wood solo album, but would be my fave Rolling Stones solo album except that he wasn't a member of the Stones at the time.
Sad discovery of this video to me was to see that Gimme Some Neck has a printed innersleeve which my copy doesn't have.
    A great video.

Hi Paul. Thanks so much for watching and commenting. With Mick and Keith on the album (and Rod Stewart to boot) and having Sure The One You Need and Act Together (I LOVE that song), I've certainly no problem counting it as a solo Rolling Stones album. Yes, sorry for the bad news, the original inner sleeve of Gimme Some Neck is awesome as is the entire album art work. But the music is most important...so don't fret too much. Thanks so much again.

Spot on Alan ...ronnie is a great guy. Have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to Woody on a number of occasions Have followed him since Faces who are my alltime fave band
I saw the first solo show at Kilburn State cinema which was done Before release of Got My Own Album later that same year. TOTALLY agree Gimme Some Neck is brilliant and to my ears features some of Charlie Watts finest recorded drumming!
Love the signed 'ad' l have a number of his items signed ..my faves are First Step and Ooh La La which are signed by Faces
I also have Ronnie print from '97 entitled Yelling at the Piano Player signed by Mac and Woody . Great to finally see your assessment of Mr Woods output..don't miss next months release of Faces BBC sessions...it is worth every penny to hear them ripping into live renditions of their classics back in those heady early '70's

Thanks so much. How cool you've met him many times and have so many signed items. He was so nice when I met him at the art gallery and he willingly signed a bunch of my stuff. Amazing you were at the Kilburn show. That's a really fun release on CD and DVD. Nice shout out to Charlie's work on Gimme Some Neck. That is still my favorite and most played Ronnie album. The Faces were so loose in the studio, is there much of a difference between the studio albums and BBC...lol. I'll pick it up at some point. Very best, Alan
