FTMArchive You're welcome, I'm so happy seeing there's still someone listening to this incredible music.
One of my all time favourites
So do I, they are everything for me.
...coming from Hamburg, Germany...I never had the chance to witness them live!!!...but man, if only I could rewind time...
any fans still watching this masterpiece in 2023?
And again in 2024

If any of us ever win the lottery, please give these guys a lot of money to make more music
Deal!
They broke up shortly after Arrows and Anchors album sadly
@@mratkovichit was because of financial reasons I heard

I actually get depressed that I will never get to see them live.
I totally understand.
why not?
I am fortunate to have grown up catching one of their shows in St. Paul.
They always put out A LOT of effort and energy on stage! Very awesome band live!!
@@mcleb84 They’re not together anymore :(
They are incredible.
What I’d give for this band to make more music
Who's still listening to FTM in 2021? 🤘🏽 and always...this show was on my birthday!

2024
I can’t even describe how good this band was.
I know this means a lot to everyone who sees this. I'm happy to have been able to participate in this wonderful show. Congratulations to all of you who have kept your hearts and minds.
Were you doing mixing for them during this show?
I was there too, my friend. Right up front. Man. We were lucky to be able to see such an amazing band with such amazing stage presence in such a small venue. I think I saw them 2-3 times at the machine shop and another 2-3 times at other venues. I saw them at the machine shop in Flint, MI - and drove to see them & Karnivool again like 2 days later over towards Minneapolis, MN. I met up with Daryl after the MN show to tell him that and he was over the moon - that his band had fans that would follow him that far within such a short time. God I wish they were still making music. I miss these guys.
Bro this band got screwed, literally the best live performances I’ve ever seen, I’ve been to 100s of concerts .
What happened to them? What "screwed" them exactly?
Hands down one of the best live bands I ever seen!
@@vl3005 Big label screwed them out of money, each band member went their separate ways and it ended. It's why you see people talking about doing a gofundme or something for them.
@@KingDaveth Wait, weren't they in a deal with Serjical Strike (Serj from S.O.A.D)?? Surely you're not talking about him.
@@vl3005 At the time they were with a label call "MNRK Music Group" who have changed their name countless times. Although I wouldn't be shocked if Serjical Strike fucked them also. They didn't seem to talk highly of Serj.
@19:25 Dude the way he can change his voice like it is just amazing. Like, you hear how high he can get his voice while at the same time he’s able to switch up into this monsters growl speaking. Which you wouldn’t expect to come out of his mouth based on how he normally sings. It’s bonkers man. Dude was massively talented. And that’s not even going into the whimsical fairytale vibe of the writing style of the lyrics.
Whichever one of them was the lyricist of the band is an amazing writer. They were able to put all these odd abstract non sequiturs that have nothing to do with each other into the lyrics. While at the same time making it coherent enough for the listener to be able to understand(or a least feel) what the idea and message the lyrics are meant to represent. It’s fucking fascinating. Sometimes if you’re not paying attention, the lyrics can sound like total nonsense though loosely connected nonsense. The lyricist doesn’t ever just flat write what they mean, they’re always conveying the meaning in purely abstract terms, and again somehow managing to keep the lyrics coherent and comprehensible.
I'm not a native English speaker and made the mistake of starting to translate FTM lyrics (this was way before I had regular access to internet). For a good amount of time I thought I was stupid and that I'm unable to comprehend lyrics written in English. Just nowadays I realized that the actual meaning of their songs are not obvious even to native speakers and I felt so much relief! I was always mezmerized by their lyricism, even though I couldn't really connect the meaning of the sentences; the pictures they paint are just out of this world and I'm not sure if they get enough attention.
I remember this night so well. Take me back.
Saw them live when they performed at Trees in Deep Ellum the Saturday after 9/11. There were 6 people in the room. I've never rocked so hard in my life.
Paul Greer epic \m/
thats a hell of a story
Holy shit. I love this band, but I've never seen live footage. Wow. This is the energy missing from rock now.
Saw them in Australia open for a band called Dead Letter Circus, they were so freaking good 🥲 still listening to them
were fair to midland ever fans of my beloved faith no more..i see alot of inspiration in certain things... mike patton also has crazy range and use to put his entire mic in his mouth... the singer has that same eccentric personality as mike... and they have a keyboardist and are very diverse like FNM... i love fair to midland...please come back.. we need real musicians like this again
Goddammit I can't stop coming back and watching this. Like do y'all realize how f***ing good these guys were? We didn't deserve FTM, and as such we lost them. What I wouldn't give for just one more show...
I think about this all the time. So many other bands that this applies to as well, but FTM and Oceansize left the absolute biggest holes in my heart. I saw FTM live so many times in various locations that Andrew ended up asking me "dude where the hell do you even live?!". You haven't lived until you've seen Andrew hang from the rafters by his knees.
@@micahpilson9836 Years later as I reflect back, FTM is the closest I can come to connecting with religious folks. I'm an atheist myself, but when talking with people of faith...if I can reflect back to the feeling... Darroh swinging above me, Cliff raging on guitar, haunting keyboard filling the room. It really was something that almost transcended reality. And of all the great moments, one strikes clear - took my best friend to a show, she had never heard them before. We were between shitty openers. And I turned around to Darroh, in his remarkably awkward way, hitting on her. Most real moment of my life. The prophet, entering my reality.
To think that this man is driving a truck somewhere now. That alone tells you this world's philosophical understanding of aesthetics is shattered. We didn't deserve them.
All it takes is a millionaire to pay off their debts, and just leave a note depicting the Anchor. We will never deserve them, for as long we don't deserve them.
This man is an avalance...the lucky bastards that witnessed this performance were blessed \m/
Anyone else cries to this sometimes?
One of the best nights of my life....Long live FTM.
December 2020 and I listen to this almost everyday.
April 2022
same.
I with you seen them with bowling for soup in 2005 at a small venue was awesome
Plz come back the music community needs it
I saw them open for Flyleaf in Atlanta. I was in shock. One of the best performances I have ever seen live and I have seen many many bands for decades. Absolutely top-notch. I hope they are all doing well.
They opened for 10 Years when I saw them. I think it was back in '07. I was blown away by their sheer energy.
They broke up just b4 they blown up
Orphan Anthem '86 seemed like it never got perfected but the last recorded version seemed like it was close and that's ok with me and still remains my favorite to this day in all forms. There is just something lonely about it that can't be described but only felt.
Sometimes the hottest fires flame out. I wish these guys were still making music.
Best mid-scream ever.
I just stumbled upon this...
FTM was such an amazing force. It saddens me that we may never get to see these guys on stage again...
I caught them at what I believe was their first and only Las Vegas show back in 2011 ( opening for dredg ) I met the guys outside the venue as they were unloading their gear and they were some of the most down to earth people I've ever met. FTM may no longer be around but the music will be with the fans forever!
Thank you so much for uploading this.
Its bittersweet to finally have this available.
I saw them once and I don't remember anything. Such lovely chaos, such immense, lovely chaos. I loved every bit of it, and I can't remember a thing but sweat, screams and the insane drumming.
In another reality, this band is the most famous band on earth. Shame it could not be this one.
In another reality this band is still together and playing thier live shows with a brand new album 😔
Still in love with this band, I'll forever hope for their return, though unlikely
I find when good bands get huge exposure, their music begins to get stale. Maybe you could call it selling out. These guys were genuine with each and every song. What I would give to bring them back, though...
well, guaranteed no lip syncing lol
True, but looks like he doesn´t use in ears and hardly ever stands in front of a monitor, so I bet he doesn´t hear anything when he is freaking out.
Definitely no In Ears. Darroh would have destroyed them in about 30 seconds. I remember one of the guys telling me anything that wasn't on the drum riser was fair game to be demolished. Haha.
I can't thank you enough for this. My lifelong favorite band. Saw them in concert every chance I got, and have had a hole in my life ever since. Once you experienced FTM...you could never view music, or more broadly art, in the same way ever again.
Absolutely the same, for life! I was unfortunate in that I never got to see them myself, the one chance I had was right around the time Jon left and they had cancelled the UK shows. Had tickets and everything. But I absorbed every live performance recording, every raw video, radio show and DVD I could get my hands on. I love them. I miss them.
You're most welcome. This channel is for people like you, I don't make anything from it, I just host them for everyone to watch and enjoy x
@@ftmarchive2615 Man, I'm sorry you never got to see them. It was a life-changing experience. I got 9 shows in. After hearing them for awhile, the first concert I made it to they were opening for Chevelle. Walked out in the middle of Chevelle's set because they just didn't stack up to Darroh and we were spent from FTM's set. The last, they left me with a parting gift of introducing me to Ian Kenny - Karnivool opened for them.
@@danjohns4003 That's insane! Very, very cool. While I didn't get to see them in person, I'm grateful I found them at all. Im so glad I found this band when they opened for Dir En Grey and then got to see them on one of their last tours which they headlined in NYC, truly amazing show, got to meet Darroh outside before the show and afterwards backstage. Ill never forget that night.
This is the holy grail
I wish this game came back. Darroh is such a charismatic vocalist and the whole band wrote a lot of gems together.
mugenjouproject maybe its wrong, but the wikipedia says that they are recording a new album
@yonatan zemel maybe was a mistake and Wikipedia has just fixed it, i dont know
10:27 is an incredible transition with Walls of Jericho. Everything just works.
The "lumberjack" vocals as I've always called them are INCREDIBLE live
Still one of the greatest bands I have ever seen live and come back to this video to relive the experience
37:35 - Possibly one of my favorite songs ever made!
Damn this show is popping! I've never see a live crowd so into it.
They really had an energy about them
Thank you! This means the world to me, to all of us 🥺
Yeeeah, this show still makes me misty-eyed.
one of the best concerts I ever heared. well done FTM. please come back
I discovered FTM a few years ago, and their music is amazing. I wish they had gotten the chance to really stick around and blow up to be the huge name they deserved with all that talent. Nonetheless, what they already accomplished in music is far more than I ever did and their songs will last forever.
I got to meet Cliff selling merch at a concert they did with Flyleaf a few years back at the HoB in Atlantic City. Super nice guy and he just talked to me like any other guy would. Really made my love for them even stronger. Great guys and great band live.
Cliff is one of the most down to earth guys I've ever met. He's incredibly talented not only with guitar,... he can teach you AP calculus and then show you how to make pool shots. He's an all around great guy.
So thankful for this share! I revisit it often! Favorite band since 2002! Simply the best! No comparison. Still listen to them on a daily basis. Thankful I was able to see them many times lives! 🙏 Would be the best gift ever to have this band play again! 🇨🇱 forever a FTM supporter!

These dudes were nuts in Brysn TX years ago. When you are amped up by y9ur more than local crowd you do crszy shit like, climb the light scafold and fall down like a ninja and continue like you just jumped off of a 7 ft high speaker.
I thought he broke his ankke but he got up and moved like a wild animal. These guys are sick af.
I was at that show !
I was there!
2023 still rocking this show! 💪🔥
Thank you for uploading this. Fair to Midland was my first concert back in 2004. I saw them a dozen times between 2004 and 2007 and I've never seen a show since that has lived up to theirs. The energy was so powerful and right.
Agree with u 100% I didn't understand them until I saw the live show. Saw them during the same time and followed all over tx. My buddies and I used to see them as an opening band for a local denton band called the feds. These guys were always so great with their time and always put on a good show. My first date with my wife was at their last show in Dallas.
Hell yeah they were so good . They had to pull him off the stage in el paso because he literally climbed over 20 feet of the stage . We thought he was gonna fall be he sang up there for a while
I was at this show! It was the last time I ever saw them live (saw them about 4 times at the Machine Shop)
I can't believe it's going on 7 years since this performance!

I'm literally crying right now. Never seen anything like it, and probably never will. What a unique band we had and probably didn't appreciate enough
such a great band. They should have many morr records since.
I've never heard of this band until Justin Bonitz from Tallah, and Hungry Lights, covered Dance of the Manatee. So glad I learned of these guys.
Best band ever. Please god tour solo album new album andrew. Fuck. We need u. Blessed be
The best band ever
Concerts in 2021 are different.
Very unfortunately so.
55:24 the guy in front of Darroh seems like to be about to throw up ahaha
You know that feeling after you leave a show and you have electricity running through your body, talking with your friends like "holy shit did you see this part?!". This show seems like it was the epitome of that feeling.
Thanks man. I've found out about this band some months ago (and i still listen to their music everyday) , after i heard 2 songs from "Fables from a mayfly" i read they were inactive since 2013. It's so sad to see how such an incredible band doesn't exist anymore. The energy of the frontman is unique.
Was listening to some music and came across this band. My wife and I saw them back in 2007, at the Intersection. I was amazed at Darroh's vocal range and his energy. I immediately went out and got their albums I loved their range and the non-conformity of their music.....too bad they are not together anymore. Awesome band!
Damn this is epic. Wish we could see them live one more time, but that wouldn't be enough would it?!
man they were so fucking good!!!
Thank you for this! One of my all time favourite bands ever. The music is amazing and Andrew blows my freakin' mind with his lyric - the KING of idioms. So much love and respect for their work, passion, blood, sweat, and tears. Thank you.
I love and miss them dearly x - All the best to you x)

God FUCKING bless you! Thanks for posting! Nameless hero... (sniff :___D)
Thank you so much for uploading this gig, I got to see FTM a few times and this captures all of the energy of them live, and they are one of those bands that change your life forever after seeing them, live, this comes very close to being there, and gives future generations the chance to see how amazing this band and their music are and how spectacular Darroh is as a front man and performer, This made my evening watching this, I will never forget seeing them at Download after them being signed to Serj's label, that was how I got to discover the band and they were the standout gig of that festival.
Man this brought back memories, I saw them when they toured with Flyleaf and 10 Years, probably the year before this recording. Got to meat Cliff selling Merch that night. Such a great guy.
Edit: Scary thinking about it, the only band still active from that tour is 10 Years...
Greatness when they are all on stage together. Save the rafters for another day
Thank you so much for this
I remember when they come out on stage it's like a freak show or something. Darroh is so crazy acting he's like an escaped mental patient or something, then this skinny dude with huge hair comes out dancin around playin guitar and you're just like "man wtf did I sign up for". Then 20 minutes later dude's hanging from the ceiling doing that insane viking voice like nothing you ever heard before and everyone is just going nuts. Never saw anyone having a bad time at these shows. Everyone in that place was on the same wavelength or w/e.

It was on their album Inter. Funda. Stifle (their self published second album before they signed on to make Fables and AaA). Amazing album you can find it on RUclips but good luck finding it anywhere else. Granny Niblo from that same album is awesome, plus a lot if "early" versions from songs they remade on Fables. Well said.

After RUSH left the scene, FTM became my favorite band. I own all of their albums.
My ONLY complaint is that they can't reproduce their sound LIVE, energy? yes, but sound, no..... :-( :-( :-(
obviously they are a total studio band. but i think it makes them more bad ass to see them attempt to recreate their masterful art live.
every live show i have seen them in they are always doing something unique and it seems like you would only get that experience at that particular show. that is pretty cool man.
Shows are never the same in a recording. I hazard a guess that this would've been epic if you were there.
If you have ever seen this band live in person it's just wow I can't believe you are judging a band by a RUclips video when you have no idea the energy these dudes emited.. it was something else dude.
