I was just reading an article about the band that mentioned this song. I had no idea it existed. It didn't come on the album I bought. I don't know how it didn't come up in any of the numerous searches I've done over the years. I'm disappointed it took this long for me to find it, but god damn is it good to hear some new (to me) material from this band again.
If I had the means I think I could get them back together. At least Darroh and Cliff, they should have never stopped making music. And I'm sure Matt would be in too. It would be a task, but it's a possibility, these guys were epic
And truthfully I still feel guilty, and believe that they can reach another level, even still. I know a producer who has put out music for some big artists, and last I talked to him, he still wanted to work with them. His label made them an offer before they decided to sign with serj
FYI they have 4 albums. The first one is pretty different but still worth checking out; the second is great and along the same lines of Fables (including some earlier versions of a few of the same tracks).
Hearing this for the first time again after literally ages and I still remember the lyrics as if it was yesterday. Loved this song a lot. (and still do)
This song slipped off my radar for a long while for some reason - maybe because it feels wrong to hear another track after the epic ending of The Greener Grass? Anyway, I'm glad YT offered it up as a suggestion - I'd forgotten how much I like it
yea, this and 'an honest con man' being left off their albums is a big reason they didnt blow up... those songs are incredible... and to limit them to apple users is just asinine
This... this was not on my album. I was RAPT with attention while this played. I wish I had obtained it so the ftm-gasm would have been one notch better. This song is beautiful.
Next time they come within a 200 mile radius of NJ I'm going to see them play, come hell or high water. Nothing short of a zombiee apocalypse would stop me. Favorite band of all time.
I never ended up seeing them. But in the last 10 years I moved out of NJ, got my bachelor's and masters in IT, got married and have two lovely children. Fair trade.
@Truedoogie Pretty simple. They just split the boys and girls and had them sing the parts separately then the guy put them together for the track. :D If you listen closely I have the deepest voice on this song during that part.
@KonradPolaczek No worries. It really seems like those people looking for their material are mainly people who have ordered it anyway. It's an amazing album :-)
@meesterguitarmaster its a bonus track on various versions of the album. I didnt think It was gunna be on my copy (i preordered from amazon) but turns out it was:D
I still listen to these guys. 😢 Like this so I can come back to this song
I'm one of the vocalists during the group singing part. :]

Pore the coal to 'er is now one of my favorites. Great song!
They may have broken up, but I heard this album won American Rock album of the year
Michael Davenport Unfortunately no.

Anchors and Arrows best album of 2011..fuck the Grammy's....
I can't believe this was left off the standard edition. This is better that ANY track on most band's records.

FtM was never going to blow up, they're too good.
It sounds like it should have been on Fables from a Mayfly. Cause all those are great.
incredible song by an incredible band. To those of you who say you sang on this track, you are all incredibly talented.
This... this was not on my album.

wish this was on the vinyl
@TheCheatingBastard It was originally a Fables demo but kinda like the Fables Musical Chairs demo, it was nowhere close to being where it's at now
I had not heard that song... Very Goood!
@HandPeopleHandPeople Wow! That's awesome! The group singing part gave me chills the first time i heard it, you have an amazing voice :)
@HandPeopleHandPeople So am I! It was fun wasn't it. :) I hope they have another concert soon!!
Nice, thank you, I'm still waiting for my SOM digipack to arrive!

Not very often, but from time to time they do.
@marky1010 Yes, I really think this is their best album, and easily album of the year so far!
@meesterguitarmaster its a bonus track on various versions of the album. I didnt think It was gunna be on my copy (i preordered from amazon) but turns out it was:D
Sweet I've been wanting to hear this one! Where exactly on the album did it fit, so I know where to put it when I rip my CD for my car.
dam its not on my Cd I got at the Cd release party in Tulsa Ok.--But it is a great song..
Was that a little solo I heard...? Right after the group sing part??? and throughout the next sections? O.O A guitar solo....

World is over..
@HandPeopleHandPeople cool stuff! doesn't darroh/andrew teach you guys?
@Vizenahhh Well Andrew isn't here right now but Cliff is for a bit!
Ironically, St. Elmo's fire tends to chew on bitter ends. Look it up.
Think they have done a couple times? Not entirely sure..
FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK, i can't get this album in my country :(
where do you live? I'll send you a copy
[insert title of any song on arrows &anchors] definitely one of the best songs on the album.
Does anyone know if they ever play this live?
@meesterguitarmaster Uhhhh are you serious?
@dinosoid2000 Never mind I found out!
@fragular Thanks! If you listen, you can single me out :] I'm the deepest voice.
To bad they broke up
+Brandon gooby where are you from? I'm just curious where they found the choir from. Congrats on this BTW
