Why a Fan Film? Simply because we wanted to pay homage to an era of sensational horror films, full of ideas and energy and with a visual content that has dictated the stylistic features of the genre for decades to come.
Based on the character created by Wes Craven in the universe "A Nightmare on Elm Street" In Dreams tells a sleepwalking episode of Cheyenne, an American teenager, who will soon livea nightmare permeated by the ominous presence of the "Boogeyman" Freddy Krueger.
The independent production is Italian, the short film was written by Silvio Marotta and directed by Cristian Tomassini for the Anima Film Srl production company.
A low budget project that took a week of preproduction and a day of filming to pay tribute to the master of Horror Wes Craven.

The best way too make a freddy mask is take some expensive paper towel, bowl a dark tea in a pot then put the paper towel one by one soaking it in the tea and ringing it out and hanging too dry, the once it is dry, put corn starch on your face and attach the paper towel too your face, once you have all the paper towel on you can use an end of a knife too dig in too the paper towel to make your skin very damaged and burned looking, once your done all that you can put some blood over the mask once it dries off, I suggest for anyone who grows facial hair too shave first, taking this off is like a wax strip
this movie was awesome wish it was a lil more lengthy but either that I loved it

Really enjoyed the cinematography for this... Gave me that creepy, on edge vibe. Actors did well... Freddy was "Off" but I still enjoyed it. Bravo to cast and crew!

@@bigjosh0819 What’s worse staying inside or a Quarantine with no end? I always get the shaft from people I ask that. But ya know what, they’re too dumb their own shoestrings! EDIT: If anything they could use the idea of what’s going now to expand the idea and explain that a Quarantine that’s occurring in the film’s timeline is actually not all too relative to what’s happening in the rest of the world and trace it back to the origin of Freddy as a character and a means to an end for the franchise.

Pretty good. The Freddy makeup was a little too very obviously one of those 300 dollar masks. The way it moved was off. Otherwise, great little film. I'd like to see one sometime with him restored to his original first film persona of a man of few words. LOL
It's not makeup, it's a silicon mask, just not a very good one!

It's pretty simple, people with a passion for the story create amazing stuff like this. While someone who wasn't a fan of the Friday the 13th series does "Jason Goes to Hell" and reveals what happens when someone isn't a fan of the series and get's to be in charge.
This creation had a lot of heart and felt real, which is not an easy task for a fan horror film. Well done team!

really intriguing, I like the way it was presented, there was that element of Surrealism that the original Wes Craven movie captured so well that was relatively 'fresh' to Horror movies in the early/mid 80s...such as Freddy's glove becoming enlarged to an over-the-top point when he reached out through the stairs here....reminded me of his elongated arms in the original during the Tina chase scene! Freddy looked and sounded a bit 'weird' (which is weird in itself saying that..), but I wasn't sure what to expect and what would happen, plus the ending with that music made me want to know what happened next which is integral to any storytelling. Her ripped hospital gown in a 'nearly moment' was also a nice touch!
That was pretty cool, I enjoyed it; many thanks. In less than 7 minutes you created enough curiousity and enjoyment than the whole re-Boot managed to generate!! Kudos :D

Other than Robert Englund - there is only one actor I can see playing Freddy and doing him REAL justice and he could possibly play an even more iconic Freddy than R.E. and that's Willem Dafoe. If the script is great and Freddy is especially well-written where he could really sink his teeth into the role, he would definitely do it. Hollywood needs to wise up and start listening to the fans. This captures exactly what made the first Nightmare On Elm street scary as hell and why I had so much trouble sleeping as a 7 year old back in 1984. Very well done. No disrespect to the actor playing Freddy, but if this actually had a great Freddy Krueger, it may have been the best N.O.E. fan film ever and possibly the best Nightmare On Elm Street ANYTHING we've seen since 1984. I also loved the girls british accent, it's a nice change instead of seeing your typical american teenage girl. Well done my friends, VERY WELL DONE.
sound design was lacking in some areas but can't fault the cinematography, great shots.
Captured the essence of Nightmare on Elm Street very well I think! I enjoyed it. Yeah Freddy seemed a little off but it wasn't actually a bad look and I think even though he sounds different to many, he was still played well enough. I enjoyed this!
I hope Paul Bailey’s acting has stepped up it sure seems like it in the trailer and I’m glad they changed it from a girl to a boy especially that actor he’s pretty good man I can’t wait for 2021 nightmare on Elm Street wow
This was creepy in places...exactly what's needed in a new movie. Freddy needs to be truly terrifying for any film to work and I mean he needs to be really disturbing. We need weird, scary dream sequences too. We all have weird dreams in real life and the dreams need to do that in a film. I would rather watch this fan film than the 2010 remake

Not bad comparison to the others pretty good
There have been a number of these things over the last few years In my opinion this is probably the scariest, and one of the best. Dialogue and accents were kinda cheesy but the visuals and sounds were great. Might have benefitted from building up the suspense for the Freddy reveal a little more. Kinda just like, oh, he's up there. All in all, very good effort. I like the darkness and quiet anticipation, as well as the slow pace.

As a fan of the original Nightmare on Elm Street (and Wes Craven in,) not only wss this a great companion piece, but the cinematography surpasses the original.

I like it but a few things...
- Freddy’s voice needed deepening.
And I have one filmmaking critique, did you shoot most of it actually in darkness? The best thing to do is film with plenty of light then make it darker in post otherwise you lose quality.

beautifully made fan film. freddy looked like a cheap halloween mask though and didnt care for the voice. but people rarely get it looking anywhere near as good as the movies. cinematography and dream sequence was superb

@@MrParkerman6 I assumed this was a trailer. SIX plus minutes is no movie. Though it was good I've seen longer and more for feeling fan films. It was decent but needed more content.
Some of the best movies are only a few minutes long! Especially on a budget.
The mask was cheap and they didn't even try with the voice it was terrible, but the story and scenery were great!
