I know this is a 2 year+ old comment, but it's a GlobuScope. It is an old technology item, but was designed and used as a panoramic camera that used 35mm film. They just grabbed it off the shelf, handed it to the boys, and said, here's a piece of gjostbusting equipment hahaha
@@jamesthetornadochaser I want them to cover it all. All the specs and options of the 59 caddy which is the base of the Ecto. The lights and siren all the gear on the roof rack as well as in the back of the Ecto with the proton packs. Even down the modded stretcher to hold the gear. Everything.
I think Dan akroyed who played stanz and also produced the film wanted to paint the car black but with purple lights but decided to not do that and I think he made the right choice on that

Very well researched, I'm impressed! I'm really surprised you showed that deleted scene from Ghostbusters 2 that I'd never seen before, gonna have to look for any others I've missed!
I love your Ghostbusters videos, can you please do one on the ECTO-1 and ECTO-1A. Can you gut finally answer the question if its same car or two different ones.
Just gotta say you deserve so more credit mam..the videos are always interesting, educational and indepth..let's just say I'm a fan of your work lol..sending you positive energies from VA!
Very cool, you ever think about doing a series on the 2001 film "13 Ghosts"? The ghosts work on slightly different rules than the ghosts in "Ghostbusters", but I think it's right up your alley!
I love these videos, I would like to see one just about the uniform. It looks like a flight suite but I still have no idea what the yellow hose that goes from the pant leg to their belt does.
Id like to see slime come back, it was an interesting change from regular ghostbusting. Though I dunno for the next movie. Next should have original content, maybe the one after?
The big central tank is clearly the slime as it's lower pressure and the output is at the bottom. The 2 smaller side tanks are high pressure gas as they are heavier duty and the output is at the top.
Hey, are you planing on take a look into the game equipment?, You know, the ecto tug, super slammer, meson colider the DMG and their version of the slime blower?.
Hearing this, I wonder what the shock blast and stasis stream along with Meson collider and the Overload pulse made of. And how they work. Negative charge slime and I wonder what positive charged slime does to a person. Just curious.
You know what would be a cool video? How does the ecto 1 work. Like there's a bunch of stuff on the top of the car, there's a control panel or something inside of the car. Since afterlife came out you could put the cockpit in there too.
I really wish nintendo would make actual lore for how luigis mansion works. With that game’s ghosts being susceptible to the movement of air and weak to light, id love to see how stuff like the poltergust actually works to capture and contain them. It’l never happen, its the mario universe after all, but I really wish it did.
For years I thought the grey tank was the slime reservoir and the green tanks were the air pressurizers. The movie also heavily implies that the mood slime was positively charged before it was loaded into the slime blowers and not by the mechanics of the device itself. I think this video's breakdown is based on what's in the Ectomobile Manual and not what's depicted in the film proper.
The decision to have the gray tank as the oxygen tank was based on how original three tank flamethrowers worked (which is also what Stephen Dane based his design on). The slime is loaded positively charged but (and as we said in the video) if a flux is detected, hydrons can be injected to stabilize its charge. Lastly, I came up with all of the mechanics and physics of the equipment in 2015 and I published it to GBFans as a GB Manual. The Ectomobile Manual lifted my work without credit in 2017.
To answer your questions in reverse order: 1) Kentucky Fried Human 2) I imagine it stings a little, but my head-canon is that the 'Busters are the most fun that many ghosts have had in a while. Like, when the ghost acts up and the person calls in a medium or someone, they go "Ugh, this lot," and pretend to be defeated for a year or so just because the medium is so _dull._ Suddenly along come the Ghostbusters, with these crazy gadgets. Now it's running around, dodging power streams, and actually getting to put up a fair fight. And it's exhilarating.
I'm thinking if a person is struck by lightning, which is negatively charged, it is absorbed into the body and travels into the ground. A proton stream would simply travel through a person and due to the wavy nature of the beam it would cut them to pieces, probably cauterizing the wounds like a lightsaber.
One of the upgrades described "a low-level proton stream," fed into the nozzle, as "multiplying the force and pressure of the slime." Unless that's an air-tank and compressor attached to the pack itself...
Ngl. I wish the Slime Blower would have been used in the new film. Imagine if Lucky puts on the Blower and used leftover the positive mood slime to give Gozer a big blow to its negative energy during the finale?
if everything is made of atoms can be entangled, it could be possible for anything to have consciousness even the entire universe.the rice experiment could be the Pasteur to the next great germ theory.
Words have a vibration, people are like... what 75% water? So when we are praised or complimented we get happy and uplifted. But when we are talked down upon we get angry or upset, that's why the water turned black. I learned this years ago.
Good question. In the video game's modified packs, the slime was self-replicating. Not sure if any official explanation has been given for the film though.
Well, judging by the slime, I always figured the slime blower sort of whipped it, comparing the slime the river and the jars, with the slime that sprayed, the spray was opaque and light in shade.
I mean the science is logical about moods affecting environments if you are in an environment that contains a lot of anger and toxicity you are going to be just as angry because of the environment while having a peaceful calm and happy environment makes you happy and calm heck it’s common in the workplace if your workplace environment is highly toxic emotionally and has lots of anger you will be agitated and mad and less productive while workplaces that have happy and calm environments have fairly happy and peaceful workers and high productivity rates so the science is there supporting egon’s initial theory that he claims when we first see him but obviously it doesn’t involve ectoplasm or ghosts in the real world

Great stuff I'm obsessed with Ghostbusters, and have been since a 5 yr old kid.
Brilliant in-depth look at the Slime Blower, I’ve wanted to build one to go with my Proton Pack for ages.

I've seen Afterlife, great movie, even dives into the proton pack and construction
was alittle sad you didnt include a part that talked about the slime blower mark 2, the one in the video game that is intergraded into the proton pack
Our next Equipment video is covering all the Video Game Proton Pack upgrades. We thought about it, but we are saving for the next one!
Thats was honestly the entire reason i was anticipating this episode. The basic Slime blower from GB2 is so basic it barely needs explanation.

Can You Do A Video About The Parts Of The Ecto-1A From Ghostbusters 2

I always called it the frosting gun.
Say that’s amazing you did.
I was wondering if do the ghostbusters proton pack video game.
Depends on the experiment. Mythbusters had the best one, which also proved that metal is the best.
I wish they'd followed up on that one and remembered to check the batteries on the watering system to get a more definitive conclusion.
Any idea what the active range would be on one of these? And how wide of a cone it can project?
I imagine it isn't very far, but that is a good question there was very little use of them.

581 Liters of slime in the side tanks? That would make the pack weigh 1,278 lbs just from the slime alone. That’s a heavy pack!!

I think they actually explain the thing in the movies, let me check
