I create alternative scores for fun -- I mute the game's soundtrack and add my own!
This video showcases an original composition that would accompany the Astera village / home base in Monster Hunter World. It has militant tones in some parts, but is mostly comforting, happy and uplifting. The beautiful environment reminds me a bit of a Ghibli movie, with fantastical architecture and surreal landscapes in the distance.

Personally I like the rise at 1:10 the most, it gives off a very hopeful feeling. I like how you used the snare drums as well, Nice work!

I wish for an alternative safi jiiva theme as if it retained its original black form from after the Stygian zinogre trailer in Japan (hell maybe its theme could sound like a black dragon’s theme and the end of world all together )

Yooo the brass section at 2:10 / 5:06 fucking slaaaps. In my head that’s exactly what the main theme of “the hunters progression journey” should sound like. In my mind I can just see the hunter go out for a difficult and dangerous hunt, coming back to his colleagues exhausted but successful, chat with them and make plans and prepare for the next hunt to slay the next dangerous beast. I feel like it conveys the pride, duty and honor of what it takes to be a hunter perfectly, battling through the downs and injuries. Well done m8, from musician to musician, that’s awesome work! (the rest is awesome too but this bit just particularly stood out to me personally)

astera is definitely the best looking village however it does lack some color and this theme reminds me of old village themes and there brighter colors its so good

Thanks for the kind words! It’s not anywhere else at the moment, unfortunately. I appreciate you asking. I’ll be getting back to the channel with more content and a plan to publish the music more officially, which would hopefully include an actual album people can purchase or stream (though it would not have names from Monster Hunter, for legal reasons).

May I ask what sound libraries you use?
The trumpet, percussion (orchestral and European sets), harp, some french horns and celesta were from Logic’s library.
Other sounds (like the irish flute) are from Native Instruments’ collection Komplete 12 with Kontakt sounds, used in Logic.
That expressive cello and violin are Tina Guo’s (legato) and Taylor Davis’ libraries. The ethnic flute (Xiao) at 1m26 is a FREE plugin (here’s the site to get it: www.strezov-sampling.com/products/view/jade-freebie.html)
Symphobia by PROJECTSAM, which you can use through Kontakt in Logic. I use it for general woodwinds and strings a LOT. I highly recommend for lower budgets and versatile orchestral sounds (includes runs and creepy effects).

First few notes (transposed for trumpet) would E-F#-G-A-B G F# G-B A F# D…
E G ^E D, B-D-B A G B A…
Then repeat the first part…
