In today's video, I'll be introducing a new project to the channel! It's a 1985 Chevrolet Monte Carlo SS. The first thing for this car will be a complete Hooker Blackheart 2.5" exhaust system. Being that I'm planning on keeping the original 305 H.O., I wanted to improve the car, boost reliability and do some unique things while I'm at it! Thanks for watching!

Aside from being named after my first car that I got in 2004, this channel is all about giving you the opportunity to see cars in-depth and teach you what makes each and every car unique in their own special way. As a long-time automotive enthusiast, I tailor my videos to those who love cars. Over the years, this channel has become well known for my signature in-depth reviews that are designed to be an immersive experience. Also, with project cars, press events and the occasional road trip, I’m always working hard to deliver new and exciting content that’s not only entertaining, but informative. On this channel, you’ll find vehicles from every decade, every price point and every genre, from classics to mainstream and the most elite supercars. There’s literally something for everyone. My goal always has and always will be to have a channel that delivers consistent and quality content time and time again. Wut. That's not true. A 305 has the same stroke as a 350 but a smaller bore. Externally it's the same but dimensions internally are different.
If it was an oversquare 350 it would have been a ripper, instead it's under square and a low end torque motor.

Brings back memories when my dad had a 86 monte carlo ss when i was a kid. His was a t-top car and was originally silver. He later painted it maroon with black on the bottom of the car. It had the burgandy interior. It had the aluminum monte carlo ss wheels. It also had a noisy gear drive. Is was a pretty cool car when my dad had it. The car is still around, but unfortunately it's a total rust bucket and clapped out.

If you are able to put the TPI intake on the current cylinder heads depending on the angle of the bolts, you'll have a torque monster of a 305. Not too powerful but from a dead stop until the end of 3rd gear, it'll get going real nicely.

Sounds good. The tpi will be nice on that engine. Just make sure you have the right base manifold. 84-86 will bolt on. 87 and up will require modifications to the four center intake manifold holes. The HO heads are pretty good for the 305, they have small valves but flow good and they have small combustion chambers.
