lads, whatever ye are reading when on camera, put it above or below the lens. That way ye look more directly to the camera.
Great breakdown. Thanks Lads
Nice vid. I like the format
Still do not get one thing, please help))) "Deep strike". So I placed my unit 9 inches from target and then charge on 8 as the result the distance will be 1 inch and charge is successful. Or I have to be less then one inch strictly?
Deepstrike units need to be deployed more than 9 inches away, and engagement range is within 1 inch. Therefore if you deepstrike and roll 8, you’re at least 1.01 inches away, which isn’t within 1.
You need roll a 9 basically
Thanks John!
Does keywords stack or do you have to pick which one is active?
If a leader provides the unit with sustained hits 1 and the units attached already have that keyword on a weapon. Will it become sustained hits 2 or will you have to pick which one to use ?
Good questions, I am not sure about that. I would guess you get the weapon ability and the leader's ability and resolve both since they are distinct rules.
If you have multiple of the same type of weapon keywords (e.g. Sustained Hits 1 and Sustained Hits 2), you pick the best rule, they do not stack.
@@sanakhtthefatetwister9116 Thankfully GW clarified in their designer commentary! This was published before that was released.
Tallyman is looking sick af
I liked the animations.
Does the whole unit use the leader's Leadership? If not, how does battle shock work?
You use the best leadership in the unit.
Does a leader add its own keywords to the entire unit?
Will a librarian make the unit it is leading psychic for the purpose of the Anti-Psycher keyword?
That's a great question, I think that will be in the rare rules FAQ clarifications when the game is fully released.
since one of the tyranid's detachment rules is the option to have PRECISION against CHARACTER units at least the CHARACTER keyword must be confered to the whole unit... I'd guess its the same for other keywords but it's not clearly stated... watch out when you got a PSYKER in your unit :D
As you technically wound before allocating damage the whole unit needs the keyword. EX precision anti-psyker attack wounds the unit even if the unit isnt a psyker but has a psyker character cause it happens before choosing the character to take the hit.
So what happens if i put a squad with scout 5 and a squad with scout 6 in the same transport?
Does it get scout 5, 6 or 11?
I would say you choose from either Scout 5 or Scout 6, with the latter being the obvious choice.
@@ArtofWar40k Thanks! That's what I thought too, but I couldn't find any definitive wording in the rules.
@@marcuskarlsson8535 It might be something for them to add to the rare rules FAQ for the core book.
Can you advance after you deepstrike
No, the Reinforcement step comes after the Move Units step, and units coming in from in from Reserves explicitly can't move anymore (other than to declare a charge).
The hell are the redacted units ?
the sternguard and the infernus squad from the leviathan box set probably... at the point of the post they were not leaked yet
