RAW you can only use the diagonal measurement for fly units if you're either starting or ending your movement on a terrain feature, not to actually fly over it from one side of it to the other. Yes that's ridiculous but that's how the rule works for now.
It just doesn't feel right when you guys read from a script, it's just obvious what's going on. I prefer your unfiltered turn of phrases and personal word choices over something polished and manicured.
