  • In this video I breakdown how I edit footage in After effects then export final piece via Premiere Pro with 360 metadata.
We look at 2D camera tracking using VR Comp editor, we will look at 3D and moving camera edits in future videos. This video was taken from a one to one session and edited to remove other parties voices and questions after each section.

Hi, thanks for such an in depth tut. I followed it closely but the final export doesn't convert the 360 image into a rotating panorama. I've checked the files have the correct metadata and clicked the VR box in the video settings. Which programme did you view the export in, would that make a difference?

If taken using a 360 camera I would have used Insta360 studio then imported into premiere pro using match ambisonics and settings. Checking the properties and if meta datas not there using interpret footage into equiretangular VR

@@CatalystChannel I'm actually using 3D Max/Corona camera to create the panorama image. I wonder if that has something to do with the issue.

ok once you upload this to youtube,
is there any chance for us to be able to make certain angle as a default view on the first place ?

In premiere pro use rotate sphere and under VR Preview ensure 0,0 0,0 on x and y is facing desired starting direction

Thank you very much for the video! Tell me, if my 360 video consists of 3D graphics and it is without sound, then what is the best way for me to create a sound design and put it in Premiere Pro or After Effects to indicate sound sources in 360?

This can be challenging to generate from scratch but essentially in something like audition you create 4 channels w,x,y,z as an ambisonic audio piece then when mixed and imported into AE as 4 channels you can reorientate via moving channels the issue is you can lose the directionality. There are plugins for ambisonic audio such as one made by Sony

    Hello there!
I got low quality on animations and texts even I using this settings, but only when I watch on VR mode, "normal mode" is pretty well.
Do you have any ideia what is happening?
Ps.: The low quality is after rendered.
    Thanks in advance!

Which camera are you using and is export set to match source maximum render?
