Hugh you are the man...!!!!! New subscriber here and a hobbyist videographer at best. You answered more questions about making a 360 video for VR in 1 video then all other content combined. Thanks a million. Encoding my x4 files into premiere first made a huge difference in the quality. Time to edit my first 360 VR.
Thanks for the sub! And so glad I could help! There is more to come on Premiere but I am also working on Resolve series for it :) For color it is better in Resolve.
Hugh (and Kimchi!) this is just an incredible wealth of knowledge. Your videos started pouring into my feed when I began the process of looking into the X4 to finally upgrade from the ONEX. Every video was informative and helped me make the decision. Now that I have the X4 and want to understand the 8K capabilities your catalog continues to help me learn and try new options. Thanks!
You weren't kidding when you said it was coming in my last response. Although, I had all of those settings at least in the first part of this video. I can show you raw video footage out of camera with all the grain, artifacts, color banding etc... I think my frustration comes from the fact that it looks more upscaled than anything and the upscale just increases the artifacts etc... Continuing to watch the rest of the video but I think I am still going to return the device tomorrow. If I find something ground breaking later in the video I can try tomorrow that I haven't already, ill see. Thanks for at least producing this for us!
No worry my friend. Maybe you should wait for One RS 1" Gen 2 with 1" sensor 8K with this new 5nm AI chip. That will be a leap and bounce quality increase. I do hope that will come soon.
Well damn. 😅I had almost every setting with the exception of noise to medium on last video. However, there are still a couple of things here. 1. I want my logo at the bottom of the video or to put it somewhere on the video. Whether it floats in space or wherever, is this possible? 2. I want the GPX stickers added to my footage and I can see no way of doing that. I do not want flat video, I want my 360 sphere and they sold us on all these supposed functions that don't work completely... maybe you have a fix. Ill have to see if importing just the inv file is a fix for all the grain etc. I don't think so as for me when I open the file it's straight grainy out of camera. Are you telling me going from low to medium sharpening introduced so much grain it borderline made the footage unusable? I can't imagine it would go from 10% sharpening to 50% and introduce that much grain. If so, they will really need to change that. If not for me, for all the others out there.
@@hughhou We would hope so. Really need to work on that sensor AND lens combo. Maybe get some real leica glass in there. ;) And thanks for understanding my POV. I am a quality freak like you. I want the absolute best footage I can get, and apparently I have not pushed it all the way. I know you're a post process guy also so.. there is that. I just hoped they would do more to get it right out of camera with more improvements. That being said, as I said in the other little comment. The GPX data and logo placement is important for me also. For now at least, I am just doing drives around Orlando. Nothing spectacular like you, but putting the logo is a key and the GPS/GPX info on the video would be a SOLID.
Hugh, thanks for posting. This video was a life saver for me with a first project editing 360 in Premiere! All the essential workflow and tips were explained and organized well.
This is so great man! Lots of gold in this video! I wish that Davinci had an Insta360 plugin like Adobe. You wouldn't happen to be updating your Davinci Tutorial for this workflow as well would you?
Thank you so much! As professional cameraman and editor it's an "all over" tutorial for me, to edit and export footage from our Insta X4 - Excellent! Best regards from Germany.
@Hugh I have insta360 X4 and was browsing some editing tips and even though your video is great, but I have to ask how is it make sense to take insta360 X4 footage which is not RAW, but H265 which means it is already compressed and huge amount of info was deleted from that footage, then render->export to prores422? I mean to me it makes sense only if it is RAW or maybe from prores422HD to LT, but nobody gonna be able to restore that info that deleted by original H265. As a test, I followed all the steps you suggested and I see no difference. I mean except the size. With H265 it is 14Gb for 9minute video, but in prores422 it is 140Gb, so 10 times bigger. But again, no quality difference. Used Adobe Premiere Pro 2024 + plugins you mentioned. The same video as from Insta360 Studio. But main question is why would you recommend do that render/export from H265 to prores?
Thank you. And although I don't have an X4, much of what you described could be used to improve my process for editing video shot with the X2 and EVO. I’ll try and hope that someday I’ll be able to shoot in 8K. 😉
Yes. Just add AI upscale on your step 1 on X2 or on last step after render on your X2. The rest is really the same. X4 software is backward comparisiable to all Insta360 camera
HUGH I hope you see this! Your videos have been so helpful and informative! I have one question... for now... When I use the VR Rotate sphere it doesn't seem to save my starting position when I save and start editing again. Is that something that only shows up once it's finished and exported? Or am I doing something wrong?
Awesome tutorial! So much valuable information in one place. Just to be clear... If I want to edit and export a 2D video, I keep the direction lock on? Or do I turn it off always?
Lets hope that Insta360 fixes that compression issue soon. Stitching and exporting with Studio the advantage that most of the noise will be removed (even without checking remove grain). But the footage indeed looks blurry. The footage in Premiere looks very noisy after exporting it. That sucks also.
Excellent video! I learned a lot Hugh, thank you! I am having an issue tho, with the mogrts and using VR plane to sphere, when I try and adjust the position of the graphic on my VR the XYZ adjustments do not match the footage so its all over the place and very hard to align on footage! Any idea or tips?!
So you can adjust the left and right of your mogrts if it has that value. Then you adjust ONLY the XYZ and XYZ rotation in the plugins. Don't adjust the anchor or position of the mogrts as regular Premiere transform does not understand 3D adjustment.
@@hughhou Welcome dear and good job thanks, but i have still this question, The Media settings doesn't have same your settings, i don't have AI Stitching even i just download the plugin from the website and i have the Latest version of Adobe Pr. and i will appreciate your help
Haha! I downgraded my Photoshop to be able to use the 3D projection too. It's strange that they removed it, it works so amazingly well with generative AI fill. I really enjoy it for drone panos, it makes very natural looking skies.
@@hughhou Go to the 23:00 mark of the video and pause it. Look under the “Encoding Settings”. The “Tier” is set to “Main”. Change that to “High”. You’ll now be able to set a higher bit rate than 60 using the HEVC codec.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Great tutorial as always 👏🏻 Just a quick question; I've tried following your guide on a 5 of my videos (recorded on different days and have tried 2 different memory cards) and with all of them the sound is way out of sync most of the time or doesn't play at all in certain parts. I'm using a windows i7 laptop. Would there be a reason for this or have you got any tips to resolve? 🙏🏻 Thanks
Thanks for the tutorial. What is the minimum hardware (CPU, GPU and RAM) to process 8K VR Videos in Premier Pro? I suspect the hardware demand for Insta360 Studio would be much lower. Is that right? I am not a gamer or professional video editor and currently use an onboard (built-in) GPU.
Actually they are pretty much the same requirement. All work better with dedicated GPU and recent CPU with some rams. If it run on Insta360 Studio, Premiere is actually more effective on resouce management. You can use Proxy btw in Premiere which run even faster.
Huge thanks for awesome pro tips! Just a question: I can not find out AI Stitching function in Media Setting - How can i open it? I had VR source from One RS but not insta X4! Thank you!
That is why. AI stitching need AI data - position data on the X4. So I think they still figure out how to use it on older model without the Gyro or positional data. But I think they did use the AI chip in X4 to do all that.
your videos are so valuable man, really appreciate you sharing your knowloedge and tips. btw where can I find the video you mentioned at the end to improve the resolution for slower connections?
That is not out yet. I was planning to make it then Qoocam 3 Ultra, Canon drop TWO new camera and lens - and I am stuck on reviews for those. Will be back on X4 as soon as I wrap those. Qoocam 3 Ultra share the same editing strategy so I have to go back on it anyway very soon! Thank you!!
@@hughhou All good fam! I moved from Qoocam 8K to Insta X4 and find it so much more straight-forward workflow specially with this tutorial. Thanks a lot! by the way I just also got a license for Mocha Pro yesterday and have been struggling with removing the object, I'm trying it directly in Premiere Pro and tried also on AE but no luck, I follow the steps and track just the same way but I guess I might be missing something. do you have any tips or any longer video explaining the Mocha Pro process pls? I also have Resolve 18, would you consider it to be a better workflow to complete the task instead of PP+ AE + Mocha? Cheers
Nowhere near ready to upload anything to RUclips. What would be the optimal workflow and export settings to go from a 360 X4 video to a Pico 4 Ultra? Ideally using Insta360 studio or the paid version of Resolve.
I'm having problems with the lower resolutions, what do you recommend for avoiding grain in 4k? My biggest issue is what seems to be AI denoising, causing faces in the background to look like Minecraft. At 4k at midday, I expected better quality even when overcast. Also is there a way to fix faces that were close to the side of the camera? I'm getting faces that were stitched together incorrectly. I can't tell if it's an unavoidable blind spot of if I'm doing something wrong.
Cheers Hugh. So if the X4 pro res in Studio is problematic was this also the case for the X3? Is the X3 pro res the same quality as Premiere Pro? Andci also applaud you. Your videos have been a huge help for years.
Mmmmm... I have not looked too deep into X3. But I think X4 use different encoding strategy in camera that is causing the problem. I only look at X4 for now as I have to do so many side by side test to find out what is wrong with my footage of the Joshua Tree 360 video you saw. This video is literally all come out from the frustration I have with editing that pieces...
thank you for the tutorial, i was wondering since the x4 came with standard lens protectors should i select standard lens guard for lens stitching instead of just normal?
Yes if you used the lens protectors! Sorry I never use the lens protects b/c image quality is upmost important for me and I don't want anything stand between my lens and my subject but if you use it, please select the lens settings in Premiere source settings. I was not clear there.
@@hughhou thank you i have one more question, I have my x4 mounted to my drone but whenever i go to turn my drone when im flying im getting a wobbly/distorted effect, could that be from the lens protectors im using?
I have some old tutorial cover aftercodec - the best settings has not change much :). H.265 with 80Mbps constant bitrate or 70% quality usually is pretty good (the default settings)
Yes, I will work on other workflow beside Adobe. They are just the first official integration but I have whole sleeve of tips and tricks to use Resolve and others. Coming up soon :)
@@hughhou Thank you. I'm a Davinci user, but used to work in Premiere. I went ahead and upgraded my Adobe subscription and will give this workflow a try today.. Thanks again.
Thank you for the detailed tutorial, but after installed the reframe plugin for premiere, I can't found the insta360 effect setting can apply in effect controls. panel for my insta360 footage .... 😢

Good one and very informative Hugh! But do u know that if you import and edit directly on premiere the sound is dont match and have the issue. Hope they fix it soon!. Anyway, do u know how to build interactive video 360 virtual tour so we can play it on quest2? Whats best resolution etc? would love to watch that! keep it up!
They still have not fixed it? OMG. I report that bug on day 1 of X4 launch.... Yes, 3DVista or all virtual tour software can do it with WebXR. Meta Quest browser then read the WebXR and make it interactive inside headset. I plan to go deeper in the topic if I get some more interests in the community.
@@hughhouyou and insta are always on top. I’m new here, just filmed x4 at Disneyland for testing. Never had a 360 before! I’m use to my Sony camera being so straightforward! I have to get through your videos bc I also have Vision Pro and need to learn how to export for both 2D consumption and 360
It’s like you know what I need to learn!😅 I Was exporting from the Insta360 studio last night and didnt love the results, I will do the Premire from now on. Thanks!
Happy to help! I think they also need to update the in camera compression HEVC. The beta release I have (the version before the 5.7K+) seems to have better quality as well. More investigation is needed. Looking forward for you post on IG tho lol! More FIRE!!!
Hi Hugh! This was a great video! Was wondering how playback is for you once applying the Premiere Plugin to the raw insv files from the X4? Every time I apply the plugin, playback is very choppy and has many audio issues. Even the GoPro plugin works better. Any insight? Thank you!
Premiere reframe plugin or Premiere raw plugins? You need to turn on Proxy mode - that little button I mention in this video for smooth playback. As it is 8K file.
@@hughhou Premiere reframe plugin! Even with proxy mode on, the audio jumps around to different parts, and by the end, cuts out entirely. However, when I export in H.265 or ProRes from the Insta360 Studio app, and then bring those files into Premiere, everything works fine. Strange!
Hey Hugh this is an awesome video - thanks so much for sharing! Question - when viewing your videos on quest 3 using something like Skybox or DeoVR I can zoom out a bit using the joystick and although it slightly distorts the image it does seem to provide a higher resolution view, however RUclips doesn’t allow you to zoom out. I’m pretty new to this but I’m imagining it’s adjusting your position within the video sphere to be a bit further back than the direct center? Would there be a way to edit the video to have this perspective be the default when viewed in RUclips?
It is possible. But I will leave this distortion settings to viewers instead of the editor. Skybox VR can view on RUclips in 8K as well and it can zoom correctly. Zoom will effect everything sizes and break reality
Great instructional video. I'm really hesitant in buying the Insta 360 but I am afraid that my PC is a little outdated to edit the 8K footage in Adobe Premiere Pro. What PC minimum requirements do you recommend? Currently I have Intel Core i7 9750H, 16GB RAM and GeForce GTX 1660 Ti
Hey, Hugh! I've got a weird problem where the Insta360 Reframe Plugin shows me the wrong symbols so I can't read its settings. Don't you know by chance how to fix that?
I was hoping this tutorial might solve a problem I'm having with Insta360 Studio, but it's happening in Premiere too. The .insv files I shot on the X4 appear on the camera just fine, appear as thumbnails in Studio, and play normally in VLC, but when I export in Studio to mp4's they come out completely black (with audio). In both Premiere and Studio, the videos appear black in the timeline too. I have a customer service request into Insta360 but you're often faster and better, so I figured I'd see if you have any ideas!
Black? Mmmm... What camera you used? Did you use H265 or H264? Maybe corrupted SD card? Have you check your SD card first? It is very common for off brand SD card to corrupt
Hello Hugh, Thanks for the very detailed video as usual. The only thing is that when I work the original insv 8k videos of my X4 in Premiere Pro the video quality result has a lot of noise (I know mine is an indoor video but very good lighting) however, when I export the same video with the Insta360 Studio even with the deleted option of "remove grain" and h264 the result is much better with much less noise than doing it with PP. I did every step of your tutorial but how can I get rid of the noise with the PP and at least to have a softer or denoised video similar than the Insta360 Studio pc app? Thanks and cheers!
So there is denoise built in on Studio but PP is RAW. So just like regular NLE, you will add denoise yourself and to your taste. But the quality is a lot better, and you have the control. I use neat video denoise or try some other options. I will even use Resolve which is mostly free.
Hi Hugh! Excellent video! Very kind of you to explain with this level of detail and precision. I am about to return the X4 because of the poor photo quality. I have excellent lighting and I am using 72mp non-HDR photo mode. Indoors with a medium size room, the details are not very good. There is still a lot of noise and aliasing of lines. I was wondering if there is any recomendations for editing besides Topaz AI to clean the noise. The use case for this camera was going to be 360 real estate tours. I feel like the Theta Z1 is still slightly superior in this regard. Do you have any advice besides the 360 comparison video you released last week? That had a lot of good information in it but I am still not happy with the photos from the X4. I am hoping there is a better quality and I am doing something wrong. Thank you for your time!!
You are doing everything right. As you said, Z1 is gonna be better - bigger sensor, bigger lens and bigger everything. Size does matter lol. So in May, Insta360 is confirm to launch regular bracketing and ton of Virtual Tour features including direct integration with Matterport and RealSee. The launch VT is not a priority for them (we never a priority for Insta360, the action camera and the famous Instagrammers are always come first for Insta360 lol). But they are slowly catching up. There are TON of features did not make it into current firmware and it is a shame. This camera can do SO MUCH MORE than videos on TikTok and IG.
@@hughhou Thank you for your time and all your work! I am going to return it for now. Once I see something worthwhile for the actual HDR bracketing (and hopefully longer processing = better results instead of action-cam minded). In the meantime I guess I wait for the Theta Z2 that might never come out :) Cheers, brother!
Thanks for huge information in this video, its help a lot to understand how to do a lot of things with 360 video to be used in Quest 3 but one thing is missing, The Media settings doesn't have same your settings, i don't have AI Stitching even i just download the plugin from the website and i have the Latest version of Pr. is there anyway to be able to find AI Stitching ? and thanks was send in advance to thank you for your efforts and made this video :)
Very nice tutorial! One thing I have a problem with is with proxies... The LRV files is here but Im unable to attach it? What is the trick to make premiere see it as a proxy?
Oh you don't need to attach it. Sorry I was not clear or going too fast there. There is a button you can add into your timeline: proxies. Just click that button to turn proxy on and it will play the LRV file instead of INSV file. They are automatcally associated already.
@@hughhou My videos finally showed in 8K!! I used your techniques (tripod removing, title) ruclips.net/video/1B6HAdKTNqo/видео.html. Please let me know what you think of the quality!
Hi Hugh, quick question: I'm doing a 360 production with footage shot with Insta X2 and 1", I don't need to reframe, I need to stich the videos and keep them as equirectangular, what are the best export parameters to export from Insta Studio without loosing quality? Thank you
Is it normal my export video is 75GB for a 5 minute movie which was about 7GB raw from the sd card? By the way, THANK You for the extremely valuable and complete tutorial. This makes my content of much higher quality, I'd probably used the insta360 app and have a pixelated result, like the other youtubers you mentioned 😂
Lol. Thank you for the vote of confident! Yes it is normal as RAW is HEVC and your are uploading ProRes. So I have a tutorial coming up all about encoding. So ProRes was the solution after RUclips new 8K AV1 update (literally 2 weeks ago!) but now I have better encoding strategy. But it won't work as easy as JUST in Premiere or Resolve. So I need a full tutorial length to explain some basic knowledge (I am more a college professor type like to explain the theory before giving solution) and then serveral solution, from free to paid. Stay tuned! Got called out on another job so need to work a bit before I am back on making free content lol.
Hi Hugh, excellent video as always. Question for you. Why does the footage have a pixelated/artefact/sparkling nature to it. Its hard to describe. Its a huge improvement on the QooCam 8K which I was using on my drone. This is my new drone camera but I notice that drone footage from Joshua Tree is exhibiting none of these traits. I followed your lesson above but still no real change.
Even you render directly from Premiere instead of using any Insta360 production - Like the studio or the phone app? It is an encoding issue. Have you also tried using h264 instead of h265? X4 footage is noisy in general, the good kind of noise instead of digital sharpen like X3. Also can you check your camera setting as mine here? ruclips.net/user/shortsaJ-sDu1A8RE
@@hughhou thanks for that Hugh I will continue to experiment in the meantime I took the same footage and stitched it and exported it from the Insta studio. The footage came out perfect, I saved it in ProRes and brought it into premier pro for final processing. There was no pixelation or artefacts. As always, a great video. Will you do a DaVinci Version? :) Just to mention, the bitrate limit on h.265 is a PremierePro limit. By specification h.265 supports bitrates up to 800Mbps in Level 6.2 and up to 480Mbps in Level 6.1.
Master Hugh, a question has come up. How are we going to use the FB360 Encoder if it does not accept ProRes video files? To use the FB360 Encoder, should we render an 8k mp4 video file in Premiere? What output do you recommend for muxing in the FB360 Encoder?
Do you also have a video that shows how to best render an 8K VR 360 video if you want to download it directly onto your Quest3 for viewing and get absolute best quality? RUclips compresses quite bit
Yes, I have several old one here still work 100% - ruclips.net/video/a4Wm2yX1q2o/видео.htmlsi=6RLISK-SBs6UqEYX - just set the resolution to 7680 to 3840 then you are good to go. FFMPEG will get you the best quality.
@@hughhou thanks for that info. I actually followed all the tips in your video and uploaded my first 8K video to youtube. 25GB for 2,5 minutes ;) . Anyway it uploaded and now 12 hours later, it looks to already be available in even 8K res. But I heavily doubt if that is already 8K. The test video is at ruclips.net/video/6Tw8JtZamRM/видео.html . Do you know if youtube displays 8K even before 8K really is available, but serves a lower resolution in that time? Or is this really the best quality I should expect ?
Yes it make sense if it is ProRes. If it is too big for you, in the final step, use H.265 in 100Mbps. RUclips just fix the upload stuck problem on H.265 - So now 8K does work, you don't need to upload ProRes if you don't want to.
@@hughhou Thanks for the answer. for me the main thing is to get the maximum quality on RUclips) Therefore, as I understand it, it is better to upload to prores422.

GENIUS!!!!
Thank you!
Amazing, thanks a lot! 360° is really the most immersive format... (even though I miss 3D 360 since it feels so much more real and higher res)

When I use the VR Rotate sphere it doesn't seem to save my starting position when I save and start editing again. Is that something that only shows up once it's finished and exported? Or am I doing something wrong?
There is something wrong. It should save. Sound like a software glitch or caches issue. Delete you media caches and try reinstall PR?

Awesome tutorial! So much valuable information in one place. Just to be clear... If I want to edit and export a 2D video, I keep the direction lock on? Or do I turn it off always?
You keep it on so you can better reframe :)
Thank you very much for a very useful lesson! You are super pro!
Thanks!
Thank you so much
Lets hope that Insta360 fixes that compression issue soon. Stitching and exporting with Studio the advantage that most of the noise will be removed (even without checking remove grain). But the footage indeed looks blurry. The footage in Premiere looks very noisy after exporting it. That sucks also.
wow.. SO MUCH VALUE in this video.. thank you!!
did you publish the tutorial yet that you mention at 23:28?
Not yet. But will soon. I am glad you think so. It does take me a while to make indepth tutorial like this :)
Another thing that annoyed me with insta360 is they didn't do a Resolve plug in !
Yes 100% agree!!! Let's push them.
Thanks

Hi Hugh, thanks again for this awesome videos! You share so much knowledge. Do you hve a similar video but for VR180?
Haha! I downgraded my Photoshop to be able to use the 3D projection too. It's strange that they removed it, it works so amazingly well with generative AI fill. I really enjoy it for drone panos, it makes very natural looking skies.
Haha same here :) Then I install Photoshop Beta for 2D work and newer AI feature.

If you set the Tier to High, you'll be able to set the HEVC bit rate much higher than 60.
What do you mean Tier?
@@hughhou Go to the 23:00 mark of the video and pause it. Look under the “Encoding Settings”. The “Tier” is set to “Main”. Change that to “High”. You’ll now be able to set a higher bit rate than 60 using the HEVC codec.
Hi. Thanks for the video. Great tutorial as always 👏🏻
Just a quick question; I've tried following your guide on a 5 of my videos (recorded on different days and have tried 2 different memory cards) and with all of them the sound is way out of sync most of the time or doesn't play at all in certain parts. I'm using a windows i7 laptop. Would there be a reason for this or have you got any tips to resolve? 🙏🏻 Thanks
Danke!
Thank you!!
Hi! Thank you for this tutorail. When can we expect the workflow for optimally creating 360° videos with the Insta360 X4 for the Apple Vision Pro?
I'm having problems with the lower resolutions, what do you recommend for avoiding grain in 4k? My biggest issue is what seems to be AI denoising, causing faces in the background to look like Minecraft. At 4k at midday, I expected better quality even when overcast.
Also is there a way to fix faces that were close to the side of the camera? I'm getting faces that were stitched together incorrectly. I can't tell if it's an unavoidable blind spot of if I'm doing something wrong.
Your videos are full of professional explanations
Thank you very much!!
Where do I download the av1 codec to a Mac computer?
Cheers Hugh. So if the X4 pro res in Studio is problematic was this also the case for the X3? Is the X3 pro res the same quality as Premiere Pro? Andci also applaud you. Your videos have been a huge help for years.
Mmmmm... I have not looked too deep into X3. But I think X4 use different encoding strategy in camera that is causing the problem. I only look at X4 for now as I have to do so many side by side test to find out what is wrong with my footage of the Joshua Tree 360 video you saw. This video is literally all come out from the frustration I have with editing that pieces...
Could you make a tutorial for DaVinci please?
That is coming :)
thank you for the tutorial, i was wondering since the x4 came with standard lens protectors should i select standard lens guard for lens stitching instead of just normal?
Yes if you used the lens protectors! Sorry I never use the lens protects b/c image quality is upmost important for me and I don't want anything stand between my lens and my subject but if you use it, please select the lens settings in Premiere source settings. I was not clear there.
@@hughhou thank you i have one more question, I have my x4 mounted to my drone but whenever i go to turn my drone when im flying im getting a wobbly/distorted effect, could that be from the lens protectors im using?
Hugh I wonder if a separate tutorial has been created to use After Codec best settings? It has been mentioned at the end of this video.
I have some old tutorial cover aftercodec - the best settings has not change much :). H.265 with 80Mbps constant bitrate or 70% quality usually is pretty good (the default settings)

Strange!
This is great, would it be possible to create this video for us Davinci Resolve users?
What do you mean wrong symbos? Inside Premiere?
@@hughhou yes, in the plugin settings, all the lines are put in the funny simbols, except for numbers o.O
It is very common for off brand SD card to corrupt
nice, what machine are you using?
In the meantime I guess I wait for the Theta Z2 that might never come out :)
Cheers, brother!

Hi Hugh, quick question: I'm doing a 360 production with footage shot with Insta X2 and 1", I don't need to reframe, I need to stich the videos and keep them as equirectangular, what are the best export parameters to export from Insta Studio without loosing quality? Thank you
Just use ProRes and Max 8K resolution
@@hughhou Thank you and good luck with the job. Looking forward to your new content!

@@hughhou no problems, my friend!
You help us all the time!
Master Hugh, a question has come up. How are we going to use the FB360 Encoder if it does not accept ProRes video files?
To use the FB360 Encoder, should we render an 8k mp4 video file in Premiere?
What output do you recommend for muxing in the FB360 Encoder?
VR Rotate sphere just pans for me and doesn't correct distortion. In your video it pans also, but then later it is correcting distortion. How?
The distortion is correct in the Insta360 plugin.
Does RUclips store the Prores file for future upgrades in its codec or do you have to re-upload it to get full benefit of higher quality?
Please tell me what file size you get for uploading to RUclips? I rendered a 5 minute video in ProRes422 and got 73 gigabytes!
