Hi mate. Great channel.
Using my X4 to film my paragliding on the backpack mount for the first time. What settings do you recommend? (Image sharpness, auto exposure, Frame rate Etc.) Looking to upload to RUclips and Insta. Would 5.7K be good enough or best to film with the 8k? I'll reframe in the 360 app. I've got a 512GB card. Cheers

Awesome video! Do you have problems with lens guard glare? I bought the premium lens guards filmed a indoor car show and I had Glare all over on my videos 😢 and yes I did clean them before and during the show.
I've used the standard guards outside in bright sun and got a bit of glare but nothing to completely ruin the shot. I did see a vid somewhere showing the premium guards were a but more flare and dust prone but I haven't tested myself yet.

this is a common problem. premium is not good for taking videos. max the standard lens guards or no lens guard is best.

Yeh, I've ditched the standard guards on my X4 as they seemed to distort the image too much. Bit a risk for me as I mainly use the X4 for my cycling videos....but I managed ok for 2 years with the X2 without guards. The wind mufflers on the X4 also vastly improve the sound, especially wind noise reduction.
The video provides five key settings to optimize when filming with the Insta360 X4 for better video quality:
Resolution: Use the appropriate resolution for your environment. Opt for 8K only in bright daylight or well-lit studio settings. For less ideal lighting, switch to 5.7K to reduce noise.
Bitrate: Set the bitrate to high for the best video quality. Be aware that this will increase file size, so a larger SD card may be necessary.
Sharpness: Adjust the image sharpness according to your scene. Start with low for a softer, cinematic look or medium for outdoor scenes with more detail.
Exposure Control: Manage the exposure between the two lenses based on lighting conditions. Use auto for general use, standard for backlit scenes, and high for situations with significant differences in light levels between the lenses.
Audio Settings: Choose the right audio mode based on the filming scenario. Use stereo for vlogging, active wind noise reduction for high-speed activities, and direction focus to adjust audio based on where you're reframing in the 360-degree sphere.
For the best audio quality, consider using an external microphone like the DJI Mic 2.
