You saved my life man. I'm working with this new company and I'm new with 360º shots. We recorded some important footage with actors with a GoPro Fusion and I only took the MP4 files from the SD Cards and deleted the rest. Then I realized that I actually needed those extra files for to stitch it with the GoPro Fusion App, but thanks to this tutorial I'm keeping my job.

Great tut, so how do I stitch with 4 lenses? I tried to apply this method but it's a no go for me. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
I am using the Ricoh Theta V. I have been using the ricoh stitcher and then a conversion tool that is supposed to get the spatial audio working so then I can edit in Premiere. However, do you know if stitching like this in after effects renders the spatial audio that can then be edited properly in Premiere? Also, do you know if the quality of stitching using this method vs. the ricoh stitcher is noticeably better? Thanks!
can you do vr180 side by side stitching with after effects?
After I dropped my premier pro save file into Adobe after effects: there is no project settings under File. I push and hold Ctrl-alt-shift-k, to bring up the settings and it won't let me change anything. It's all greyed out..
I did already edit the video in that file beforehand, so I'm not sure what to do..

Hi, I actually didn't do that, After Effects does that automatically when 3rd party plug-ins are installed. I'm not sure if they can be customized by users. They probably can, but I don't know for sure!

What about 3d? i have a Vuze 360 3D, the file has 4 images from its 8 cameras. The Vuzr Vr Studio doesn't work anymore.
My files are exporting at WAY TOO BIG OF SIZE.
In my case, the videos were separated. One was from the Front lens, and other from the Back lens.
I followed the video and managed to export them correctly, but:
Front video: 1,4GB - Back video: 1,4GB (a 5 minutes video)
I exported only 7 seconds of the video, and the file was already 4,5GB..
I tried exporting in half of the resolution, but still this 7 seconds only, were already 1,3GB.
After I did the last step on the Encoder, the 4,5GB file went to a 77MB file, but still, I would have to export a gigantic file, to convert it afterwards? What am I doing wrong, or what can I do to not get such a big file on the export?
I'm completely new to this and I'm already super lost I cant do even the first few steps because I'm trying to understand how your premiere is set up because mine is different. Are you in assembly, editing, color, effects, audio, graphics or what ?
it's not premiere. it's in after effects. maybe that's why you are having confusion. you're in the wrong app

It sounds like your footage is h.265 instead of h.264, you likely just need to update After Effects to fix that. Another solution you can do would be to convert the footage first, to another format, before bringing the footage into AE. I recommend you download HandBake, which is free software you can use to convert your footage to a different format. Just google "HandBrake Open Source Video". 👍

You can export through Media Encoder then, select "Que in AME" instead of render, when your footage is in the render que. I would render using the h.264 codec instead. Or any other you want. 👍

It only has one lens, so it only gets one circled video instead of 2 to stitch as shown in your videos.
It's great content, but if you are moving your camera for video, this won't help you.

its hard to believe that with stereoscopic consumer video being out in the market for about 10 years now this is the best we have for stitching process? good lord.... what a disaster.... this process sucks. the tutorial however was top shelf

@@1337mofo I recently bought a very old camera, the LG 360 CAM. I didn't know there was no software support, I needed to find a cheap solution for the 360 camera. It shoots very good quality but has no software support. I edit my videos with this solution offered with After Effects. I tried to use the software used by Insta360 cameras but it didn't work. I don't have a GoPro, can I follow the steps in the link you sent without having a GoPro camera? What is the camera model you are using?
