    If you didn't see her LIVE you really missed something special, especially early in her career. She was on another level. Her LIVE performances were just so much better than the studio versions, and everyone knows the studio version we're good , but LIVE left you speechless.

      Unfortunately i never had the pleasure to witness, or should i say "Whitneys" her live, but i believe you. She makes it look easy, and improvises the whole time...lovely 😍👍👍

    This is her best live version of that song that Ive listened to up to know I love when she stick more to the original melodic line and ryithm than when she make so much alterations...although when she talked you could hear she had a cold it was fantastic !! ...the good old days her voice at the peak fresh and ckear

    A differenza dei mostri di bravura di oggi, replicanti dal tecnicismo capace di qualsiasi cosa con la voce, (e che appaiono ogni secondo in ogni Talent, in ogni social e persino in ogni karaoke del mondo), nel suo cantare Whitney mostra la bravura stratosferica della verità di un talento puro, quello non celebrale, non imparato a tavolino, non assorbito con nessun metodo di canto dal guru di turno. Certo, la Houston nasce in una famiglia di cantanti di talento e si sa che questo, unito al proprio dono naturale già eccelso in partenza, possa aver facilitato l’uso dello stesso così come fosse la cosa più facile del mondo; ma ciò che colpisce in questa come in altre milioni sue esibizioni sopratutto live, è il puro divertimento nel creare fraseggi, variazioni, giochi di voce senza pensieri di tecnicismi reconditi celebrali, ma dando semplicemente libertà e sfogo alla naturale creatività del vivere musica e voce come veicoli di felicità per se stessa e gli altri. La tecnica strabiliante è persino secondaria nel suo modo di esprimersi; nessuno stereotipo posturale, del vocal track, nella gestione fiato,ecc… lei è spontaneamente perfetta come fosse l’anello di congiunzione fra la voce e Dio: oso dire che era la manifestazione di Dio che cantava.

      bravissima sei una grande.. bella descrizione... era una persona che non aveva alla fine bisogno di chissà quali nozioni. io sono convinto che alcune persone poiche lo hanno come dono naturale come talento divino automaticamente cose come fraseggi, vocalizzi,abbellimenti, affondo, tecnica ecc, vengano applicati da se, senza chissà quale spinta da dietro derivante da un vocal coach o chiunque sia.. certo non dico non serva lo studio o il vocal coach ma in questo caso sono solo da contorno a potenziare quello che è gia dentro che esce fuori gia senza troppi trucchi e tecniche.. esce e basta. magari lei non sapeva nemmeno come o cosa stesse tecnicamente facendo o applicando secondo me quando ti esce cosi spontaneo e naturale. a volte ti capita di fare cose che nemmeno tu sai come le sai fare, che non hai imparato da nessuno se non da te stesso e da quello che hai gia dentro.
      peccato che Withney è andata via da questa terra troppo presto a mio avviso, aveva ancora tanto da dare. o forse era troppo per questa terra. non ce la meritavamo. infatti è andata via presto tra enormi avversità drammi e sofferenze che si è portata fin da bambina... leggendo la sua triste storia ho potuto capire quanto chi ha qualcosa di soprannaturale da poter offrire a questo mondo
      viene offuscata, viene trattata esattamente come non si dovrebbe.. senza dare il giusto peso all'immensita posta dentro queste rare persone.

    And i feel she was a bit sick here as i was listening to her talking voice, she had i guess a flue.... but OMG, when she start singing you can't even trace that sicknesses....such a power talent, her caliber is at par...💪💪💪❤💚💜

    She was the rare artist that topped the recorded version with her live performance… Like her voice is so powerful but so beautiful and soft you just can’t explain it. Whitney was a vocal anomaly!!!

Give me a 1980s performance of this song where she sounds objectively worse than this performance, and I bet I can give performances that heavily outweigh those. And I’m seriously asking that you provide a performance because I’ve actually never heard her have a bad performance of this song in the ‘80s. 🤷🏾‍♂️

      @@whitneyhouston1122 She was overly nasal of what she is used to sing.... and having breathing problems. Also some people reported that she was sick if I'm not mistaken. Similar to Japan 1990.
