what about the steering linkage alignment now? flip the tie rod ends to the bottom of the spindle?
Bolt holes on side of frame won't line up.

There is plenty of room between the pan and the crossmember. There is also no problem with the harmonic ballancer. I'll try to get better pics

Why not only cut a section off where the frame can slide in?
Thinning the frame weakens the frame. Most of the weight of the car is up front.
