I have a 64 GMC c 30 and every bolt is rusty you did in one video what took me 5 weeks. Great job. Not to mention in it is a 305 V6 that's almost impossible to get parts for... But you video gave me hope and it's keeping my wife off my back ,for the time being.

I have a 72' c30, been sitting for about 25 years. Best truck anyone could have, need to restore it.

I use an engine hoist to pick the cab on my 37 Chev PU. My rigging is far less elaborate than yours. I put a couple of 2x4's on the flat with a 2x6 cross brace fastened to them. I hold this to the top of the cab with a couple of ratchet straps. then I just pick it with the tip of the boom. Literally just balancing on the tip. Works well as I've had the cab on and off many times.

How did you decide which cross members on the frame to disassemble? Why do any of them? Why not do them all?

I think I want to do my frame, leave all my patina on truck, patch the cab corners and rockers, restore the interior, then ls swap

Wow, powder coating the entire frame? They've got an oven big enough for that?
