I definitely agree with knitting for anxiety!! I had a really hard pregnancy with my first. I went into preterm labor and had to be on bed rest. While I was in the hospital a woman dropped by and loaned me a loom with yarn. She gave me a paper with instructions with a RUclips video link. It was such a memorable moment when I made my sons first hat!! 😭 it helped me so much during that time.

For baby washables, really any ‘bits’, add a pull string mesh laundry bag, (Dollar store), to the gift. I find these bags keep all knits safer in the washer & dryer, they’re not as beat up.

I watched this to cheer myself up.
I’m pregnant and so is my sister. She’s due June 1st and I’m due August 4th.
I just stayed all weekend in the hospital because I have been battling what they think was stomach bug for two weeks but was so depleted they had to admit me. I was in so much pain and so scared.
I’m home now and still battling this bug as well as anxiety.
I needed this video to try and get me looking ahead .
This is my third baby. I have a spring baby, a fall baby and this will be my first summer baby.
It was helpful and I have ideas now for my sister and I both
    Thank you
I’m going to make a small bucket bag to match the crocheted 12 point stat blanket I made for her .

Oh mama, I'm praying for you! I'm so happy that you have your sister to go through this with. It makes all the difference!

@@ThisYellowFarmhouse please keep my family and I in your prayers. I just got test results back and I was told I tested positive for a parasite. No one can figure out how I got it. So now I’m on an antibiotic and nausea medication. I’m pulling everything apart to try and clean things and wash all soft surfaces because I could pass it to my family and animals. I’m very scared.

Thank you, I found this insightful. I have picked up knitting again and have been having fun making baby items for friends. the best part is that they are so little so you finish projects faster and actually completing them motivates me to continue😄

As a knitters and crocheter and quilter and mother of 5 and a currently pregnant woman...please just make things throw blanket size if you're gonna make a blanket. 😂

Three of mine have full blankets in their shared room...those blankets take up the space of a fourth child in that room! Throw blankets are a mom's best friend. Congratulations on #6!! 🥰

This video deserves a lot more views, this is excellent advice. I made quite a few of the "blunders" you mentioned with my first baby who was a summer baby. Taking that experience and this advice and enjoying knitting for baby number 2 who is due in the winter 💜 thank you for a great video

What a great topic. I'm in California and since it doesn't get real cold it's hardtop know what to knit for a baby. Especially when you do to do a larger project or blanket.

I love knitting/crocheting plush toys for babies! As you mentioned, sizing and timing is really tough for hand-knit baby clothing, and it seems every shower I’ve been to has blankets galore. I especially love the Little Cotton Rabbits toys since they work up in a reasonable amount of time and she has so many different animals and color patterns to choose from.
I’m currently expecting my first, and she’s going to be a summer baby (due at the end of May). Choosing projects to knit for her has been a struggle, so I really appreciate your suggestions!

Aww congratulations! Yay summer baby! I really love knitting toys, they can't out grow them and eventually she'll actually be able to play make believe with them.

Dayna…great show! I have a Baby Blanket Ministry at my Parish…never enjoyed anything more than this!😊
I’ve tried different yarns but always washable and dryable! I have used Lion Brand ice cream yarn and Mandala Twist. They are both nice and made beautiful blankets. The yarn I like the very best is Premier Puzzle! The size I make is 40x44 ish. I also make a lovely or bunny or teddy bear to go with it!

I love Lion Brand ice cream yarn! I made my cousin's baby blanket with that a few years ago. I feel like there are so many good yarns for babies that aren't marketed for just babies!

I have a winter baby but there are plenty if summer things that won't be too hot. My biggest issue is my baby is so skinny so I have to change every pattern to make them skinny but long. 19m. 20.6lbs, and 32.25inches tall
