I was part of the engineering team that made this new control system for Apollo, one of the things I told John to do was to make it go to eleven, because we actually could make the Precision 5 go to 11 psi, so I thought it appropriate to make the spinal tap reference. Initially the PID controller was made in order to eliminate the pressure bleed line by idling when not in use, this unit still has that feature, but the bleed line was left in place so peak pressure is around 9psi to meet HVLP requirements. I'm not saying you should, but if you wanted to... ;). Shout out to T. Smith, he's the brains behind this. 13:15, that is so cool to hear the controller at work. Do you notice the change in motor RPM when you trigger the gun and again when you release. That's the microcontroller working to maintain a specific pressure.
You said you had the accuspray system breakdown what was the issue with it. I've had the accuspray for over 30 years and I love that system I am looking into getting Apollo in the next few months..
KasaneTerritory Boi haven’t sprayed advance with this yet. I do have a quart laying around to test still, the long drying time has always been my hang up
Bruce Hand I hear you loud and clear. That Wagner gun retails for over $850. Makes my Atomizer look like a bargain at $350. Very difficult to switch entire systems. Especially when you consider the learning curve and information side involved.
I love the finish mine produces but it over heats and shuts off very easily. I basically can’t spray more than 2-3 doors unless I put a fan up to it. I see they have a precision 6 now, but no videos that I can find.
Michael Craine I’ve had it maybe 4-5 years. I’ve already returned it once, they do have great customer service, but the problem has never been solved, even with new filters.
Did it start doing it right off the bat or take a while. I’ve been running mine for hours at a time and it’s jetting out and cooling Down really quickly
lionel medellin clear plastic cup is a 3m pps cup system. The cup and liners are standard but you can get the adapter to fit it on just about any gun. I’ve heard people have a lot of problems with the graco cups
@@MichaelCraine no, I'm trying to research what sprayer to buy, I have a gazillion trim to paint, but it still needs thinning paint . And I have no budget to get a 3 stage turbine sprayer, so I tought this may work, but it's only volume friendly, does not shoot out water based unthinned.
chaba72 you might try using a different thinner product like S-W Kem aqua then . Much thinner than a regular Trim paint, or just purchasing a small airles from HD or Lowe’s and using a fflp tip with it. Will still give you a nice finish

Hank Larsen you guys did awesome work we love this machine! Definitely thought it should go to 11 though 😂
I’ve been waiting on this
I was a buyer until...”look it’s Wisconsin colors...” only thing missing was the ridiculous cheese wedge hat😁 go Bears!! Great video.
Bill Uransel 😂😂😂 You wont catch me in one of those unless I lose a bet. Thanks man
Amazing!
Thanks for the review, I you can please, We would like to see how is the Milesi 2k WB spray.
speedsurfers got that coming here shortly

Curious......what inspired your left arm tattoo....?
That 77 looks really nice. Put my eco3 to the test. It passed and it’s time to upgrade. Just wish they made airless sprayers too.
I thought the same thing. Imagine the price of them
can you use with a graco turbine with that?
Can Centurion or Envirolak 2K be sprayed through the Apollo Precision HVLP without reducing? Or, must an airless be used?
Depends on which needles and nozzles and which air caps you have for the gun.
How do you clean up remote pot setup with gun?
Hi there,
Can I conect the pressure pot to my compressor?
Many thanks for video!
Kolyo Kolev yep just have to remember to keep the pressure within the numbers on the gauge on the pot
have you used Ben Moore advanced in this application?
KasaneTerritory Boi haven’t sprayed advance with this yet. I do have a quart laying around to test still, the long drying time has always been my hang up
I have used both and I feel a AAA setup is so much better
Bruce Hand I hear you man. This setup has worked well for my small company however I have not gotten to try an aaa yet
Michael Craine you should take a hard look at the Wagner aircoat AAA gun.
@@twsd I'm a Kremlin Xcite fan. Too expense to change over now as have all the spare parts

Joshua Hagan how long have you had it and have you changed the filter? Apollo is pretty easy to work with when it comes to issues
Michael Craine I’ve had it maybe 4-5 years. I’ve already returned it once, they do have great customer service, but the problem has never been solved, even with new filters.
Interesting, what products are you spraying?
Michael Craine latex, lacquer, oil, shellac
Did it start doing it right off the bat or take a while. I’ve been running mine for hours at a time and it’s jetting out and cooling Down really quickly
What size tip are you using?
A-Z Handyman & Maintenance all depends on what type of product we are using
Is the clear plastic cup from graco?

I made a quick video about it man
Thank you! Just saw it! Great info
The audio is horrible. I can't hear half of what is being said.
Thank you, I figured that out in my later videos. Can’t make an omelette without breaking a few eggs and all
I have yet to find a sprayer that don't need thinning the paint like water
chaba72 sounds like airless or air assisted would work best with your products
