    Interesting. I was doing test spots but didn’t really know what to look for… I realize that as the gun moves, the leading edge(s) are covered by the center of the spray pattern.and the overlapping stroke So having an even distribution of atomization (pressure, needle, nozzle, viscosity) across the pattern is a key factor to even coverage and proper wet film mill thickness.

    I would like to see a video that pulls together how the viscosity, turbine pressure setting, material volume and fan pattern all interplay off one another and how you understand which of the variables is the one you want to focus on to get the results you’re after. It looks simple but there are a lot of ways to tweak and understanding which one best gets you to the result is a key thing imo. I am still never really sure if I have all the variables the best I can hope for.

      Unfortunately this is not something that is easy to put in a video because it will not account for different spraying styles. We make recommendations in our instruction manual for different types of materials, but then there is always some fine tuning depending on the weather and user technique. If you have any questions please feel free to call our customer service department at 1-888-900-4857.

    I just got a 7700 with HS cap and I love it. Yet I am working thru a bit of a hybrid situation with a non adjustable turbine, that said, will chocking down the airpressure at the gun have the same net effect as adjusting the turbine? In otherwords if the turbine is producing a flat 9psi can I tune down the gun to equal a lower psi? I think my problem is over atomization and more overspray than I would like to see.

    • @ApolloSprayersHVLP
      @ApolloSprayersHVLP Год назад

      Yes, you can use the OS control on the back of the spray gun like a cheater valve for compressed air. If you screw the OS in you will slowly restrict the air flow thereby lowering the overall pressure from the turbine. The downside to doing it this way is that you keep the motor running at full speed and end up making it run hotter than normal as you increase the backpressure on the turbine motor.

    Hello John, I have a few questions for you to clarify me please;
    1- this package does not come with the gravity cup!??
    2- Also this machine does the same job as the Precision 5 HVLP Pro??
    Because the 5 HVLP, I have noticed apart coming with as same compressor an top, and a bigger cup an top as well, we can spray with both cups on the gun, and without those cups!??? Right???
    and also we can spray as directly with the gun coming from the bigger cup an top, right??
    I am asking you, because I have seeing in another channel as same machine as the one you are doing this video, like as same model 5 pro LE, but without the compressor an top, and without the bigger cup as well?
    3- So not sure this machine 5 Pro LE does come with the compressor an top, plus an extra bigger cup an top as well, as you are showing on this video!??...Or we have to purchased separated!??
    Sorry I am a bit confused with that!
    Looking to purchased one, but I am a bit confused!???

      Yes, you can get the PRECISION-5 with a gravity cup gun or a bottom feed cup gun.
      The PRECISION-5 PRO is the newer version of the PRECISION-5
      You can add the 4500 fluid feed system, which mounts to the top of your PRECISION-5 and comes with a mini air compressor and 2 quart pressure pot. You can then use either the pressure pot or the cup on the gun.
      The PRECISION-5 PRO LE is another version of the PRECISION-5. This also can be purchased with or without the 2 quart pressure pot. Please visit our website at hvlp.com/product/precision-5-pro-le-hvlp-turbospray/ for more information. If you have more questions feel free to IM or call us anytime.

      @jadarroch 2 года назад

      Yes, you can spray clear , flake and primer without a problem. You will want to look at the Auto versions of either the POWER-5 VS or the PRECISION-5 PRO LE. These systems are set up with the appropriate nozzle sizes for spraying cars along with a gravity only version of our Atomizer spray gun. Please visit our website for more information on the systems.

    Hi john, Can you please tell me, like help me?
    I am looking to buy an Apollo Sprayer, but not sure which one!??
    So Which Apollo machine I should purchased if I decided to paint windows and doors( like French windows and panels detailing doors) with latex, like water based paint as primers & top coats, varnishes and other similarly products!??? Even Shellac??
    I have a business that I paint windows and doors, and fences( wood and metallic detailing ones), like different water and oil based primers and top coats, along with varnishes and clear coats, and on metallic detailed fences, sometimes I do spray an epoxy oil based primers and top coats!
    However sometimes I do spray kitchen cabinets doors as well!!!
    Plus very rarely I do spray small featured walls, and Columns with low sheen water based paints!
    Can you please tell me in which Apollo machine I could do all that type of job, even as I do small jobs, but I like the idea that not much over sprayed as I had watched in a few videos!

    • @ApolloSprayersHVLP
      @ApolloSprayersHVLP 3 года назад

      We would recommend the PRECISION-5 PRO LE with or without the 2 quart pressure pot kit. If you do a lot of doors then it will be nice to have the 2 quart capacity and remove the weight of the paint from the gun. However, for smaller jobs you will want to the cup gun. Curious what the impact is if you have pressure too high. This was GREAT to see low pressure issues.... what does the spray look like on the high side?

    • @ApolloSprayersHVLP
      @ApolloSprayersHVLP 4 года назад +1

      With too much pressure you will see fan patterns that are not straight and much more overspray. By lowering the pressure you create the environment to get the most efficiency.

    The guns on your shelf there. Are they older 7000 gun supplied with the eco series?
    Are those 7000 non bleed guns made by someone else & ASI have just put their sticker on the pot & endorsed it as their own?

      Thee guns on the shelf are our current models E7200 and E7000 that are currently sold with the ECO systems. Yes, they are non-bleed spray guns. We are ASI, that is our DIY brand.

    Question if 6 psi gives the perfect spray pattern , why the need for a turbine with a11 psi ?
    Also the basic Apollo turbine is only 5 psi , so is this machine useless ?

    • @ApolloSprayersHVLP
      @ApolloSprayersHVLP 2 года назад

      You are confusing atomizing pressure with sealed pressure from the machine. This unit gives a sealed pressure of 10PSI, which equates to about 6.5PSI of actual spraying pressure. Lower powered units quote 5PSI sealed and are actually only able to provide less than 3PSI of spraying pressure. It's all relative to the amount of air you start with. The longer the hose and the larger the bleed port the more the air is reduced to the spray gun.

    • @ronferriegel3352
      @ronferriegel3352 Год назад

      So was the readout on the machine, in the video, showing the sealed pressure or actual spraying pressure? I’m assuming actual.
