Thanks, Michael, I purchased this unit 2 or 3 months ago used from Boone Wyatt, who purchased it used from Shane Woods! I have been intimidated to even open the box! Thank you for the video.
Going to be ordering an Apollo 5 sprayer soon. Your videos have been a great help in doing my homework on these systems. I'm currently using an earlex 5500 and a graco Ultra cordless which both work well enough, but I'm upgrading to something that has far greater versatility and power. Thanks again for the videos man!
Great video Michael. When I started out I went with the titan capspray. After a little bit they sent me out a remote pot to try out. Made a video on it. I have since moved up to airless and AAA due to 2k poly not enjoying turbine heat. I find this interesting to add a compressor to the remote pot, and now I'm finding myself wanting to break out my turbine again with added air, although I am still weary of how well it would actually perform on thicker coatings in comparison to airless or AAA. Awesome camera man by the way 👌🏻
Ron Fladell thanks for watching them. Personally I prefer spraying flat, however that preference is based on the products I spray. While mostly WB they still dry very fast, so wait time on flipping a door to do the other side isn’t a concern of mine. I did try out a hanging rack from Paintline and it’s definitely the way to go if you are spraying a slow drying product like fine paints of Europe or BM Advance etc Here’s the link for that one ruclips.net/video/qwyphf-IQWI/видео.html
Just purchased the new PRECISION-5 with the remote pot and compressor as well. My question is could you bypass the compressor all together and hook it straight to the turbine? With the remote pot being hooked up to the compressor and that line being so short, don’t know how you could use the hook and carry it on you if you wanted too? Kinda like the titan capspray or graco units with remote pressure pits.? Thanks and always a pleasure to watch your videos sir!
Premier Painting & Services LLC book what up to the turbine? The fluid material line that hooks up to the gun is the same length as the regular air hose on the turbine
Michael Craine I have seen the titan graco turbines run a remote pressure pot without a compressor. Why is there a hook on the Apollo pressure pot if the Compressor line to the pot is so short. Thanks
Premier Painting & Services LLC good call with the hook. Not sure. I do know some of the graco setups have the compressor built right into the machine housing. When I use mine I have the pot sitting on top of the unit right next to the compressor, I don’t want to lug that pot around at all lol.
Have you given the fine paints of europe a go yet? I know you mentioned when you initially got this unit that you were looking to get into FPOE paints. If so, what are your thoughts?
Hi The video is great!!! My question is can I conect this gun and pressure pot to my existing Compressor. I watched the video and I am confused, because one of the hoses in the gun is connected with turbine and this hose looks like specific.. Pls can you explain me step by step how to conect my Compressor with pressure pot and then the two hoses (paint and air)to the gun Also can I use thinner hoses or I have to use the original? Many thanks.

hangeles80 I would recommend getting the Fuji 2 quart PRessure pot system. There is no compressor needed on that setup. The hvlp line goes directly into the pressure pot from the turbine to pressurize it. Been using mine for a week and it works great!
@@boonewyatt8236 hi there. I think Apollo made this pot with a compressor (sold separately to the turbine) to keep the pressure from dropping. With the other remote pots, surely they lose something along the way?
The compressor for the pressure pot looks small. I have a couple of compressors I use on the job for running nailers. Could the pressure pot be used with one of those?
@@MichaelCraine I have the Fuji 2quart remote pot, it's pressurised from the turbine also Fuji but 4 stage.. I'm playing in me head with connecting me airbrush compressor to the pot to save that little air for my Atomizer 7700.. great gun.
@@mattgloss8580 gotcha, if there’s no port to hook the turbine to, you are kind of out of luck. If there is, I’d give it a shot and see what happens personally to see if you get better pressure and atomization. I’m not recommending you do that as that would be reckless though
Not overly. It isn't as fast as air assistef airless but it can typically atomise thicker materials as they are under pressure and helped by air. Also the extra storage of material helps and can be sprayed at orientation. From a quality of life point of view it takes a lot of weight off your gun hand. Finally you can get in tighter areas as you don't have a cup hanging off the gun.

You would be defeating the purpose of having the compressor. Solution is simply a longer air hose from the compressor.
