I got hooked on Surfprep sanding pads on my Festool sanders... Most incredible sanding items I've ever used in my 15 year woodworking experience. Then I started using Renner Coatings.... They are freaking amazing. And then just yesterday I bought an Apollo Precision 5. Just do yourself a favor and make it a priority to switch to everything Elite Fine Finish is doing lol. It's simply the best stuff on the market and it will make your painting so much faster with less problems, flatter, and more durable.
I have had a variable speed 5 stage Apollo and the atomizer gun for about 5 years. It is the best HVLP I have used particularly for spraying stains, dyes and toners. I have used Croix, Graco and Capspray over the years. The adjustability of the spray pattern is particularly useful especially during toning or spray stain operations. Most of the time I spray at 5 psi or lower. Because it is HVLP you still have to battle with coating viscosity to get good atomization with coatings above about 20% volume solids. It is an excellent unit and would recommend it to any pro.
I noticed in the background on top of fridge is a can of BM sani flat oil wall paint....I used 100s of gallons back in the 70s and 80s ! Another informative video!!
Chris , I sure do appreciate your honesty. You come out and tell people you didnt know about products that have been around a while and you tell us how your learning. That says a lot because a lot of guys think they know everything or at least they want people to think they know everything. Im a painting contractor and am always learning. I had to learn about these awesome tools and products by studying finishing forums. Its good your getting these things exposure but on the other hand my competition (in the trade) might start catching on. Ugh! Lol!
The Idaho painter is making waves! We've got good tryers all over the place hosing apartments down to leave flashy, uneven evidence of burned tips and good old fashioned try yessir taking money and work from professionals....who actually learned the trade before claiming it as their proof of manhood.
Thanks for a great video! Suggestion: When doing an interview, neither of you should be looking at the camera. We the viewers should feel like we're a fly on the wall catching a 'private' conversation. The camera should catch everything but neither of you should be looking at it. It's not a big deal. It's just one of those things that will take your videos to the next level.

Great video and information! We use an HVLP sprayer for cabinets and it's such a game-changer for the quality finish it provides.

This was one of the videos that pushed me to look into Apollo. Picked up the Power 5 VS with the 7700 gun. Very good system.

Thanks for the video...I've heard lots of positive comments on Apollo sprayers..I know lots of cabinet shops use them.
Thanks for another informative video. I'm new to this field and trying to work out which system/model to invest in. This looks like a great option!
Thanks for posting
Love my Apollo precision 5
Never watched such a knowledge sharing video on youtube.
Will a apollo 800 work for refinishing bathtubs and ceramic tile? What psi does it put out and is it 3 stage?
Great quality but terrible customer support by Apollo, I've emailed them several times regarding an issue with my unit with no reply...
I need that system...
Do you have a recommendation for an aftermarket replacement HVLP gun for my Titan 350 HVLP spray cart?
The Apollo AtomiZer 7700 will work very well with your titan. Check it out at thefinishingstore.com/collections/7500-turbine-spray-guns
