Excellent video, keep up the great recipes. Delicious!
Are you trying to be funny or are you just naturally a goofball? Haha!
So IMPRESSED with ur channel! Great work!
Wow great video - I love your personality! You're so sweet and kind! It's funny how you celebrated 100k subscribers and now you're over half a million!! That's so amazing =)!!!!
I'd love to find out how to figure out the ripeness of an avocado and time it so that I know when they are ready to eat. Sometimes I've prematurely cut them and then they are super hard.
Recipe:
- 3 Avacados
- Lime
- Half an onion
- One tomato (remove the seeds)
- Jalepeno
- Two garlic cloves
- A little bit of cilantro
- Half a teaspoon of salt
Her tip to prevent browning: Pour some water on top of the guac when refrigerating
Life saver
The recipe says two Roma tomatoes and 3 avocados.
Avocados
Jalapeño
when the avocado turns brown, it's just oxidation and the avocado is perfectly edible eitherway!
Im still not eating it lol
@@divineestarr8888 Hahahahaha. Funny.
I know, you can also put some lemon on it to help with that.
The water tip is SO GREAT! I've been looking for a solution to brown guacamole for years!
Isn't it awesome? I just wish I knew sooner!
Trick* haha! And yes thank you for the video i just made the recipe and it’s delicious! 😋
Wtf. Water? I’ve never really had issues with lime or lemon. But... leftover guac never does last too long
Another thing that works for me is just putting cling wrap directly on the guac. Or just eat it all before it gets too brown haha. A little is fine.
Bru just flip it
Here in Mexico 🇲🇽 we have a joke for tomato seeds . They say the tomato seeds are like the in-laws you don’t know what to do with them but they come inside anyway 😊
I’ve never heard that and I’m Mexican, maybe your family only says that.
that is funny lol
@Heather Lynn u care because u took your time to comment.
@@lacucurrucucu9245 No, no we don't care. But you're annoying enough to warrant a comment.
Very funny lol
Water! I forgot avocado is basically a fat! Of course! That’s brilliant.
I know! I just wish I knew of it sooner as well. :)
Ya, that was cool!
Madam, its oxidation.
@@akroia1986 yeah, the water layer prevents oxygen ever reaching the avocado, but because the avocado has a very high in fat content so it will be hydrophobic and it wouldn't "water down" the avocado/guacamole. The same protective layer could be done with oils, but it would be impossible to get rid of it effectively affecting the food, so the water is an elegant and simple solution.
Lemon juice works too.
I made your recipe earlier today! My wife came home and tried it and lost her mind! SHe said it was the best guacamole she had ever had. I have never made it with jalapenos. It really made a difference! Thanks for the recipe!
Wonderful! So glad you both enjoyed the recipe! :)
I am already in bed with a half open avocado so I got up and made this guacamole for tomorrow. its now sitting in the fridge with floating water. Thank you all the way from Cape Town
Haha. Love that! Hope you enjoy it!
Why is this funny for me tho
@@teageek5337 I was laughing too 😂 definitely trying it out tho. Thanks for tip!
I love the tip for storing unused avocado halves and guacamole! Thank you, I am for sure going to put this to the test!!
Hi! One tip from Lima Perú with the avocados, palta for us. When you open the avocado and is still in use, you put the seed in a small bowl with water till the top. You leave it in your kitchen all the time that the avocado is not finished. When the avocado is finished you can throw the seed and water. This is for the avocado not been black. Little tips from our grandmas through the years😉
Thanks so much Marisol! ❤️
i usually never comment on videos but HELLO BLOWN AWAY BY THAT TIP - that's amazing!!! I could've saved so many avocados
Cannot wait to make this...Looks delicious. My mouth dropped when you showed the tip on how to keep the guacamole from turning brown!!!

First time ever making guacamole today and I used this recipe- it’s awesomely delicious! I love it, thank you! And the water trick is invaluable, I’ve been eating avocados daily but sometimes just a half of one, what a brilliant hack! Appreciation and hugs from Indiana. 🥑🍅🤤😍🙌🏻🧡
Everyone tells me that I make the best guacamole too! Your recipe is the exact way I make mine! But I did not know about the trick with the water! I LOVE that! I will use it the next time I make guacamole or use an avacado, thanks!!!
What kind of pepper did she put in there?

This recipe rocks! I made it for my family and they couldn't stop eating it! So delicious.
The most original/authentic recipe I've seen on RUclips. Good job. I've seen other videos where people add other stuff that doesn't belong there.
BLESSS! Perfect time since avocado prices are down too!

Almost exact to my recipe!
You'll find, a slight burnt jalapeño(s) adds a earthy down- home flare to it.
(Thought I'd share that since you mentioned the water hack) Thanks : )
I love your videos. They are instructional, knowledgeable and taste terrific! Yours is the best channel that embraces food intolerance's and sensitivities that I've seen. There is not one recipe that I've made that I haven't loved. The food prep video is life changing! Thank you!
Thanks so much for your kind words Wendy! That really means a lot to me and I'm so thrilled you love my videos. :) x

OMMMMMMMMMMGGGG GOD BLESSS YOU!!! im gonna try the trick to prevent the brow avocato!!! THANKS!!!
Aww I didn’t know that about the stem & I love Avocado. Thanks for the tip.
personally i would opt for a RED onion
Yes, I did so last night, there must be tons of variations of guacamole.
Yes those are better for the spice
White onion's best
Both
And a lime
This is fast becoming my favourite channel. You ALWAYS use non-trans fats which is so brilliant and I love how HFLC you eat as I find my health is the best on it too. Thank you for your amazing videos and life changing tips! ❤️

Thanks so much! And yes, I'll keep my fingers crossed for that. :) x
Thanks so much for that tip in the end!!!
Great recipe
To make avocado easier to mash after removing seed cut into the flesh in a cross pattern then scoop it out. Leaving smaller cubes that a fork works through in no time
Also you can just leave the seed in the avocado half you aren't using or put the seed into the guacamole this will prevent it going brown.
Finally you can use grown cumin & black pepper for extra flavour plus spring onions instead of or with less of the onion.
Great tip on slicing the avocado first before mashing! But unfortunately leaving the seed in the avocado is a bit of an old wives tale. It's been debunked by science that it does nothing to prevent it from going brown. Instead you need a way to prevent oxidization, which the water does (or plastic wrap on top, but I prefer the water). :)
Downshiftology thanks for reply. Honestly I've used the seed in & without over night with the guacamole actually not turning brown. You could be right I have lid which comes my storage container. But definitely without a doubt the avocado half I'm not using if left with seed in doesn't spoil for at least 24 hours.
Great tips...thank you! Your videos are so professionally done. Your instructions are clear and workspace clutter free, which I 💗💗! Congratulations on hitting the 100k subscribers!
Thanks so much! I appreciate the kind words. :)
Great video ma'am. That is exactly how I used to make guacamole years ago. You have inspired me to try it again. I always have used the old trick of leaving the pit in with the avocados or the guacamole to help prevent turning brown. It has worked absolutely zero times yet I still do it. What a stupid creature of habit. I will definitely try the water trick thank you so much.
Thank you for the useful tips I haven't seen elsewhere. I will put these to use going forward.
recently a new subscriber. your videos have inspired me to cook more, thank you! keep up the great vids.
Wonderful! So happy to hear that Gissel! x
Thank You for Excellent water tip to extend avacode life. I can buy more of them now without wasteing so much. Thankyou thankyou thankyou😁😁😁😁😁
I made this today and omg it was so delicious! I used red onion, opted out of the cilantro and didn't have any peppers. This was the best like you said.
Amazing! So glad you enjoyed this recipe 😄
Great tips, thank you.
I like this recipe because it’s very easy
She has such a nice and calming voice
Thanks for sharing! So helpful! Especially the water part!
buenisimo.... lo recomiendo muchisimo.
Awesome hack to store the avocado. Try finely chopped pecans in your guacamole. Sounds odd but it’s so good.
I like chopped pecans on most things, so I'm sure that crunch would be tasty in guac as well! :)
“Make sure you remove the seeds. You don’t want watery guacamole.” Also “poor water over top for storage”
Looks absolutely delicious tho. Can’t wait to make it.
@Nam Nhu do 'think' lol
What A great Channel!!! Thank You.💗 for the Avocado Hack! Bless You.💓 ♡♡♡
Tastes great! Just made it. Thanks.
Delicious
Thanks Ricky!
I didn’t have any tomatoes or any jalapeños so I used some salsa. Which had both, and it still tastes amazing. If you don’t have jalapeño or tomatoes then use about 2 to 3 tbs of salsa like I did
Awesome! Happy to hear it!
Thanks! I used salsa!
personally, I don't care for tomatoes in guac…
Thanks will do that..:-)
I will certainly try your recipe. Thank you
Thank you! Great tips!!
What a great tip, thank you! What brand of knives do you recommend? Love that guac! Courage, Barbara in Maine
Thanks Barbara! And the knives I use are linked in the video description box. :) x

Easy to find ingredients, took about 10 minutes to make it and I loved the mild "kick" from the jalapenos! Will be making it again.....this week!! Thank you for sharing your recipe 🥑
I've NEVER like guacamole until I tried it this way; homemade. It's DELICIOUS! I was flabbergasted.
I add a bit of lemon juice.
Me too
I just discovered your channel, and you now have over 1 million subscribers. And I can see why! I was hooked after I watched your video on how to make different levels of hardboiled eggs. I love how detailed you are in your research and testing, but you don't bore the viewer with a long drawn out background about it either. You have such great tips, and you know the science behind the foods you are using. I think the world was craving a food channel host like you!

Great idea, I'll definitely try it. But I have one thing which is always confusing me as I'm not from english speaking country. Is a cilantro just coriander's leaves?
Yep, it sure is! :) x

Thanks for the tip on keeping the dip green👍
that looks like an amazing recipe but we are missing out on LEMON 🍋 this also prevents the quac from getting brown and no water is needed ✔️
Is no one gonna talk about her beautiful blouse? 😍
Love your channel and the water tip to preserve the quac is an awesome tip! Thanks
Great way to eat more avocados.Thank You!
How is this recipe any different from the classical one??? What did she mean when she said: everyone says my recipe is the best? That is how 80% people make it. Why does se call it HER recipe??
Thank you so much for the tip❤️💯
cannot wait to try this! congrats on the 100K ! you deserve it
