Barry shows you how to install our heavy duty solenoid on a Club Car Precedent electric golf cart. This hd 48 volt solenoid will allow the power of our recently installed motor and controller to operate properly. These solenoids are made in the USA and install very similar to the stock one. Hi Barry, enjoyed watching your solenoid upgrade. I do have a quick question I was hoping you could help me with. I have a 2015 Club Car Precedent that I've put two new resistors on and when I hook up the 48V battery it burns out the resistor. What would be the probable cause of this?? Would greatly appreciate your advice.
Crazy question but what model is that die cast golf cart on your shelf behind your desk the big one all the way on the left! Thank you!
How did you get that huge solenoid back in the bucket. You only have about an inch clearance to the back wall. Did you cut the back wall opposite the cover?
Where can I find the battery compartment enclosure (big plastic tub) like in this video?
My solenoid resistance is getting burning hot and by everything else it’s hooked up right
Besides the resistor do you need a diode too.
when you put the resister on the solenoid, can it be put on backwards? Mine got very hot and I am not sure which way it went on.
Whats the manufacturer of this selonoid?
Do you not need a resistor on this solenoid? Just got one and wasn’t sure thanks
He re-used the old one. It went on the back
I have a precedent Ingersoll Rand 48 V Battery system. One of the battery was exploded after that radio & light not working. I can not locate the fuse that may have caused it. It runs but no lights & radio. How can I restore it. Please suggest. Thanks
+Alfred Franklin The fuse link for accessory items should be right off the Positive or Negative side of the battery it hooked up to. If there is not one there, you may have a damaged wire somewhere in the wiring system.
Does it matter what post the 4ga red go on or the 4ga yellow? Factory one has yellow on + side and red on other. Do they stay the same ?

I have a 2015 club car with a problem. It will go about 2 feet and stop as if the batteries are dead. The batteries are charged. Do you think the problem is the solenoid?
Do you get a click when you press the pedal?
I'm not a Club Car professional, but I had the same issue with my 2012 Club Car. The problem was the solenoid for me.
I was removing a broke rear shock on my 2009 club car precedent, when I removed my hand from the rear inspections panel I shorted the two post on the top of the electric motor with a wrench, now my golf cart will not move. I do hear a click in forward and reverse but no movement. Can you advise me on what I need to replace. Thank you, Jeff
Jeff Alford you blew your controller. There is no electrical protection on the back / motor side. Replace the controller.
