Thank you so much for this. My 2012 now runs great using a Roypow lithium pack. I just unplugged the grey connector and tied the blue and white on the harness side with solder and heat shrink. The blue can be pulled from the harness to give room. Then left the connector undone. Taped them to keep them weather resistant. Did the 2 blacks the same way. Except soldered and silconed then taped off with 88.
I saw on the Allied lithium battery website that they use a bypass wire and just disconnect the negative clip and reconnected it with the bypass wire. ruclips.net/video/nM1sH-5TGCY/видео.html
You don't have to cut anything only remove old charging port red black and grey wire. You can disconnect one of the wires that goes to yellow charging lite on the dash board next to ignition switch. That is all!
So I am seeing other videos that so what you did with the black wire, but keep everything else as is. They don't even bother to join the blue and white. So what's the advantage of this vs just doing the black wire?
What wires go to the run tow switch I have a car that is 2005 precedent and the wires rotted I have the pink wire I don't know what the blue wire was originally attached too thanks
Dave I have a 2006 CLUB CAR with OBC and I plan to bypass the OBC. It came with a PowerDrive2 charger. I plan to buy the Summit Series II, 36-48V Auto Ranging Voltage 13-18A, CC Power Drive w/o OBC. Will this charger work for me? Thank you
We just tried the same bypass of the club c precedent and probably erred: I cut the black wire from receptacle and patched in the bridge wire to the negative post on last battery. It appears to be charging now with the Schauer multi phase charger. I did not cut the other wires as shown. Comments? Thanks H
What about the grey wire coming from the charging receptacle? I just bought a 2008 precident, the previous owner completely removed the obc. The grey wire is just hanging. Black is butt connected, blue/white are connected too. tried two different chargers, won’t take a charge.
Thank you works great. Saved a ton on money!!!

How about if you want to eliminate the charging port because you're using an onboard charger?
This is the best bypass

Can the car run with out obc
Why do you need to connect the blue and white wire in a loop?
that is what I am curious about. Everyone else just runs the black wire to the negative battery terminal and that's it.
I agree! Have not seen any other videos where they splice the blue and white wires together.

@@timrowe8123 what type of charger? Is it a 'bypass' charger?
