- If your golf cart is Club Car DS(Year of manufacture 1995-2010 ) or Club Car Precedent (Year of manufacture 2004-2014 ), you must bypass the OBC (on board computer) before charging an aftermarket golf cart battery. It is easy to bypass the OBC if you follow the guide by Barry.
If your golf cart is Club Car Precedent was manufactured from 2015 to now, don't need to bypass the OBC.

Do you remove the old negative battery cable that used to connect to battery 6 and only use the new cable from the obc connector to battery 6 ??
If you install 2 new Trojan lithium batteries ...... which of the 2 batteries do you connect the negative to from the OBC?
My charger keeps flashing the triangle fault light on the charger. I noticed a while back that the negative post arcs more than usual. I checked the wires in the charging recepticle on the cart and they are all fine. Any idea what could be causing the charger to fault? I have tried another charger and keep getting the same. When i check the battery voltage they all look good.
Do I need to take the body off the cart to complete the job. What did you do to clean the controller
what is the voltage at #6 battery negative? is that -48v? (just trying to determine what battery this is, I can do that better by voltage as I don't know what #6 battery is!)
Will this work for a 95 DS as well? The configuration of wires is different. Thanks!
Hello, I have an 04 Club Car precedent, it has started not moving periodically when the GO petal is pressed, what could be the problem?
What's the purpose of bypassing the obc? Thx
I bypassed the obc like shown. Batteries all charged with the new charger. But, now the cart isn't getting any power.
What should I check? I feel I missed a step. ha ha
I did the bypass to use an after market charger but now the battery light blinks every 5 seconds any ideas
I have a 2003 club car ds GAS , what are your thoughts about installing a lithium battery in my golf cart?
What's there to think about? Do it! If you can afford it then you will love it! They are so much lighter and you will have a much better run time and zero maintenance
@@JM-yx1lm thank you , for your honest answer
Tried that and it didn't do anything
