This is a very late drill, but we finally had it.
I didn't video me resetting the pull because we were letting students back inside.

The fire alarm at my school sounds exactly like this one. It is REALLY loud. In one of my classes I sit RIGHT NEXT TO IT. I am REALLY glad we never have fire drills during that class period.
When I was in elementary school, We had a fire alarm that sounded just like this one and it sounds like a long blast of a fire truck air horn. It was so loud I was so terrified of that sound! I'm glad these days are over!
My old school decided to stick a horn/strobe (specifically a ceiling-mounted Wheelock MT) in EVERY classroom. Some rooms had TWO, and others would only have a remote strobe. At least the system was coded to a slow whoop with the fairly rare "cease operations" voice evac message.
the high school i go to for half the day has those U-HN-S17 alarms. i'm somewhat surprised by how their not loud. my regular school has an EST system with genesis horn strobes that seem louder than the pyrotronics alarms.
I’m pretty sure I heard a spec alert advance. To be correct. Right before the alarms there was a second of advance.

Even in the winter months, most states require their schools to perform a fire drill at least once a month.

The signals you see in the video are made by Faraday, the same company that made the horns for the Simplex 4900-series mechanical horns.

My school has a EST Genesis horn strobe code 3 it takes about 10 mins for my whole school to evacuate. We have a really big school 4000-6000 students.

My primary schools(Midway and Hamel) had gentex commander horn/strobes and strobes and est genesis's and a spectralert strobe. Glen carbon had wheelock ns's and RSS's. Lincoln MS has ns, gos, as, commander 2,3's, gxs, rss, spectralert strobes, and commander strobes. The high school will probally have wheelock mt's
Fire alarms in my country are generally just a long 'squeal' with another background alarm... Not older ones like in these videos.
They get like 10 of those mechanical horns going in the hallway and then they wonder why we say what all the time.
i hated the sound of that buzzer, we had that at my old school....it scared the crap out of me every time

Those were the same alarm sounds at my old Elementary school, and I hated the sound...it almost sounded like the end of the world, as we know it
I'd actually rather have continuous in the classroom. If I'm in a gym, I'd rather it be set to code 3, and in an auditorium, I'd rather it be slow whoop. My college has it set to code 3 w a voice evacuation signal

My school has the system sensor SS-24 (coded to slow whoop) and somehow it always manages to scare the crap out of me. Meh.... Nothing you really can do about it really.

WHY WOULD YOU HAVE A FIRE ALARM WHEN IT'S FREAKEN COLD?! Btw I have the same alarm and in 3rd grade we had a fire alarm and when we got back in it was still going off. It stopped... ONLY FOR 5 SECONDS! It was SO LOUD it keeped going on and off and when it came back on we were all like - F*****
