- This is the old middle school, it was shut down 3 years ago for not being up to code and it was going to cost too much to redo it. It was used for testing for a while and now it is completely condemned. Now it's just sitting there being wasted. It actually is a pretty cool school
I keep coming back to this, This is funny about the fact that the fire alarms sounds like ducks.

I can tell, because in Street View, you only get the 2008 footage of it and I wanted someone to do something useful with Feather River Middle School instead of demolishing it.

I fell asleep at the hotel I was staying at with my earphones in and I woke up to this and it scared the hell out of me!😂 I thought that the fire alarms were going off!

It is a shame they condemned the building instead of having somebody do something useful with it. Buildings with character should never be wasted.
according to the description it was shut down because of building code violations, if you gave it to someone, they'd have to fix it in order to be safe to occupy.
Yep. Sometimes the cost to repair is just unrealistic compared to the cost of starting fresh. It's a shame.

Simplex 2901-9833s, 2901-9838s, and an EST Intergity. They sound like they are broken or running off of FWR power. The coding is on pulse or slow march time
Also I believe the EM alarm after the integrity pass-by is a 4051.

i doubt they will use low frequency sounders on code three or pule or maybe slow march time though or just continuous.

Devices are Simplex 2901 9833 or Faraday 6020 (one is dying) and EST 757 1A T Integrity and pulls were Notifier NBG 1 or something, one Firelite BG10L and Faraday F1GT Cheverons.
And I don't know what this coding is but heard it before.

Based on what I looked up, the system was activated for one final test, but the inspectors couldn’t find the key so they left the system running until the batteries died.
i would end up taking system if i was near and i took it out before demo day

People livening in the Houses nearby probably moved out of the city just because of one building that has a activated alarm or you know just got used to it
Some website says that this school closed down in 2005.
What if they used the school for testing for 2 years?
It opened on September 3rd 1991 and closed on July 1st 2004
They probably used the school for whatever testing then closed it again

@weatherdan882002 I believe it was something with the materials used in the attic, but I'm not a hundred percent sure on that. I do know the building is non ADA in any way and we have a couple handicap students so they would have to walk down onto the street and around the building to get into the lower half. I know there was some asbestos at one point in time.

Yeah I bet it replaced one of the dead faraday horns at some point a lot of fire alarm companies will do that when the guys get there for the trouble call they will replace the broken device with whatever they have on hand at the time.

Apparently, the construction team thought it was a good idea to have pull stations outside of the building. So, someone pulled it. Look at 6:13

Generally in an abandoned building the only time the FD will go in is if there is actual signs of a fire. If the monitoring company still was watching the system the FD was probably dispatched when the pull station was pulled but when they saw there was no fire and that they found out the building was abandoned they packed up and left
