Thats it, just a plain old vacant/abandoned elementary school in the middle of nowhere! An old vacant elementary school was built in 1964 and was closed at the end of the 2018 school year along with 6 other schools in the area. Built in 1964, a gym was added in the 1970s and saw between 100 and 150 students enrolled. After a fire devastated a nearby school in the 1980's, this school opened its doors to primary school-aged students in addition to its junior and intermediate students. For this expansion, they added two new classrooms as well as some portables. The 1990s saw a large influx of students, boosting enrolment to up to 250 students, this required an additional extension of 4 classrooms. The 2000s brought a decline in enrolment, down to 140 from 240 as well as a tragic incident in which a teacher passed away while in her classroom. She was commemorated with a tree and a bench in the yard. The school's enrolment continued to decline, bottoming out a 70 students. The facility is in good shape with power maintained in hopes that it can be leased or sold for a new use. Old and abandoned places like this just creep me out, and also break my heart. It’s scary because nobody is at least expected to be in there, and it’s abandoned! Who knows what’s up? And it’s sad because you just have to think about the children who went to this school, made great memories, and it’s all just abandoned.
Always find it interesting to look at the shelves, coat hooks and cubbies in the hallways of elementary schools, and even the bathrooms/toilets/washbasins which all seemed so big as a kid, and look ridiculously low or small now!!
Awesome video! There’s actually an abandoned elementary school in an area kinda like this in Idaho. It’s crazy because they look kind of the same. I don’t remember what the town is called either. I could be wrong about this story but I do remember it this way. They built a second school because the town had an influx of people, however, bigger towns started being built elsewhere leaving that town behind. So they left just as they came. They ended up shutting down the elementary and just keeping one school for all grades. I believe less than 400 people live there. A lot of cool abandoned buildings there too. Wouldn’t recommend exploring without someone from that town with you
I was there today the piano is outside in the basket ball cort and there is a box with a baby blanket and some garbage and the whole entire windows and doors are now bordered up there was one bord that was moved so I looked in through the glass with a flash light and it’s run down asf now . Sick video thoo!!! Thanks for posting
This is not too far from St.Christophers catholic elementary school, which is very torn up and heavily vandalized. This one is in much better shape, glad to see this one in good condition still, thanks for sharing!!!
This old school being in good condition could be used as a homeless shelter and have a couple of security guards to keep everyone peaceful and set up programs for them instead of the school remaing empty it would serve a good purpose and the homeless would have a warm place for winter months ,,I wish that could happen for them
Hi, Kimberly from upstate NY. What a cute school. I am surprised that they found no use for it. It seems to be in good condition. My favorite fruit is pineapple.🧡🏠🏚🏫
I went to that school and the main bathroom was just on the left after exiting the gym and going down the 2nd hallway. There was also a couple private bathrooms near the kindergarten rooms
Such a great building. I want to so bad buy an elementary school, and turn it into a place for special needs adults. Each classroom could be used as living quarters. Also the lights in the gym were starting to come on as you left. The reason they dont come directly on when you flip the switch is because tgey are mercury vapor bulbs and have to heat up sliely before reaching their full brightness. Usually takes 5 mins or so. Even if they are on, and get turned off, and you turn them back on, they dont fire up right away. Usually when the bulbs are heating up, they will have a purpilish hue to them. Where is this school, do you know if its for sale? They need to get the building secured, and invest in an alarm system that can dial the police if a break in occurs. I wonder whos paying the power bill? With all those lights on, hss to be expensive, and reason breakers were off for gym lights as those mercury vapor bulbs use a ton of wattage to opperate. We had same lights at the ice rink i skate at, and when they converted them to led, the savings on the power bill was pheonominal. I want to buy this school so bad. Question. Was there a caffetetia, and kitchen? I did not see one. Great video.
Not stinkytown Dave. Cute school. Great condition, wonder why it was abandoned. I wish idiots would stop writing rude things on the blackboards. Its so childish and stupid.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤

Shocked not shredded. Must be in a area where kids are raised to care.

Thets really sad!! But I love abandoned places!!! And houses!!!!
Wow. Huge classrooms! When I was a kid, our classrooms were only half that size.
Awesome Spot Brother!! always an entertaining video!! 👊🏻
This gives me liminal space vibes, just seeing this makes me think of unlocked memories from back when I was a little guy!
Ha ha It's unlocked! I was there a few months ago and it was sealed up tight! Guess I'll have to give it another visit! Nice explore as always!
where is this located ?
@@bellarozay-wi8qg It’s Wolford Public School in Ontario

This was cool. Thanks!
What a waste of money they can uses this schoolhouse for something. Thank you so much for the video. I do appreciate it. 🌻😊
The government already sold the property years ago.
I went here as a kid and its a little unsettling to see it empty, grass overgrown, with the broken glass and everything. Cool to see though.
I think you need to get your spirit bsck in doing abandos . Cheer up this was a good video. Thanks for sharing . ❤❤❤❤ Stay safe love ya
I went to that school from JK to grade 8- Wolford Public School.
So many cool memories! Ask me questions if you like!
Where is this? Would have been nice back in the day.
My Favorite Fruit would be strawberries, actually any fresh fruit. Cool Video Guys.
The curse of the abandoned school videos strikes again
👋 I’m just watching this now in Australia 🇦🇺
This looks like a job for an HGTV restoration show.
That looks like a good sized as an apartment.
I would love to go to that school! ❤
Same
Gym was the best bit imo
Looks like the GYM lights were coming on, they take a few min because they are sodium like street lamps
The lights in the gym might be burnt out
No, they are metal halide. They have to warm up. You can see them starting at 6:24.
What is the school canada or usa ????
This is James Barrow this is a cool school it's nice can be saved and restore and turned into houses
What town is this In?

It's no longer government owned, and it's in the middle of nowhere. There aren't homeless people out there.
It’s in a Conservative town in Canada, very hard working people with no homeless problem.
No, The Homeless Deserve an actual House and not live in a cement block.
Lol! Peach, Apple with cheese, pineapple, grilled pineapple, blueberries, grapes (made into wine - LOL)
Great video. Mangoes are my favorite fruit.
How about snap crackle and pop 😊😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 😂😂
That school can definitely be reused if the town chooses to do it instead of of abandoning it😮😮
Respectful locals out here, just leave the door unlocked, remove any spray-paint cans, but leave the chalkboards and keep supplying the chalk.
That’s why it’s abandoned…nobody came!
Our tax dollars at work, with the power still on.
6:29, the gym lights were coming on I think, those style lights take a bit.
It's not government owned anymore.
The lights are
probably turned
so sheriff or police
do patrolling.
I love apples with peanut butter!!!!
Me too, even though my favorite fruit is watermelon!
Hi, Kimberly from upstate NY. What a cute school. I am surprised that they found no use for it. It seems to be in good condition. My favorite fruit is pineapple.🧡🏠🏚🏫
Has to be in the rural Midwest, probably downstate Illinois or Iowa, due to the lack of vandalism.
Eastern Ontario Canada. I know where it is.
😂 this is in Ontario, Canada. Hence, the Canadian youtube channel.

Very vanilla building. This was a school built on a strict budget. No character at all.
