SAF 44 will never be forgotten.The young officers who sacrificed their lives,some of the officers who led the actual operation were as young as 24 years old and Police Captain Tria was the last to due of the 44.He continued to fire and fight and when he has no more bullets,tried to commit suicide by exploding the last grenade he has in his hand but before he can pull the pin,he was fatally shot.Some of the dead commandos were brutally shot and desecrated by the enemies even if they are already dead.
I learned today that the SAF 44 operation was supposed to be a tribute for the birthday of Cory Aquino.
Those SAF44 moments are burned to every filipino and never be forget for there heroic deeds for Phillipines
And From now on Big No for liberal party should not win next year election..

Very complicated event...the moment this happened..i started listening different commentaries...the only thing i can say....only the involved knows the real story...i was really SAD 😢😢😢....SAF are the most admirable team for me...
SAF44 is totally respected by police and military here in the Philippines , I already went in 7 different POLICE station and military bases they all have a SAF44 image to show the big respect for them

this happens because of money the million dollar reward for the capture of marwan...instead this is for the military operation who knows the terrain the former government did not inform the military and the official of the saf who has the authority to led the said operation... instead the president give the full authority to lead his freind a suspended general who is under investagation on that time because of graft case.... i dont know why the narrator of the video did not include the money involvement that resulted the death of the 44 saf...
24:30 sadly, the Commission of Human Rights here in the Philippines are made to help criminals and terrorists and not for Police, Military and other uniformed personnel. That's why CHR didn't accept that the Mamasapano Encounter has been labeled as "massacre". :(
Because it wasn't a massacre, it was a firefight between our forces versus BIFF/MILF and private armies. CHR doesn't discriminate who they give help to, whether if you're a criminal or not, the "H" in CHR means human. This was doomed to fail from the start, our armed forces knew that BIFF and MILF in the area, that is already complex situation considering that our government is currently having peace talks between one of the group, but cannot trust them fully enough to let them know about the operation. Anyone who thinks that MILF and BIFF have no idea that 2 of the most wanted terrorist in SEA was in the area is an idiot. Not only knew they were they, they are protecting them.
Some stories mentioned that one of the reasons why this happened was bec the Pres that time was attending a business event (something about party for first class people). The commander at that time was contacting the Pres to have his approval to abort the mission or call for more assistance but they were not able to receive any response from him. The team of 300+ troopers proceeded with the mission as planned.

There were a lot of things that could've been done. however, the case was too complicated.. The government didnt notify the MILF of this mission to not risk it being compromised, same as not telling the other SAF troopers the locations. They didnt brought a lot of troopers in this mission so the mission can be as swift and it'll be easier to maneuver.
They could've notified the AFP so they can be aware of the situation and give enough and immediate land and air support once a message had been sent.
It also seems to me that they didnt planned this mission enough. They were not able to execute an alternative way to escape.
The intel should've been aware that BIFF and MILF surrounds the area and should've been put into factor when the planning was made.
The man they were targeting was man who knows how to make bombs. They were not able to consider the possibility of Marwan using these bombs to protect himself.
What Marwan did there was smart, I can say.
But still, all in all. The reason why we have fallen heroes was due to lack of coordination, communication and planning.

Why blame Aquino ? Blame Napeñas and the SAF troopers themselves for their lack of a ability to execute the operation perfectly.

@@grvc44 Because Aquino together with Purisima and Mar Roxas are the ones who orchestrated the whole operation behind the curtain while giving the task over to then SAF director Napenas. The operation in securing the target was successful, what went wrong was the supposed exit of the SAF. They were asking for evac and support, but guess who did not gave the permission to send in the Army.
@@motortega5430 i guess your right. SAF troopers should not be used in Special Operation. they should Stay in BILIBID guarding High Profile Inmates since they are not Capable in handling pretty basic operation like the one in Mamasapano.

Maybe you can enlighten me why the president and Purisima sent the SAF instead of the Army and why they don't want to give command to send in the 45th IB since they are already waiting to pick up the pinned down SAF?

I learned today that the Saf 44 operation was supposed to be a tribute for the birthday of Cory Aquino. Sadly, it was a disaster. The only survivor was also killed on the same date January 25 years later.

It's all SAF Chief Gen. Napeñas fault. It shouldn't be a tragegy if he only use his common sense.
Gen Napeñas was the chief architect of that Oplan Exodus. When he briefed the former president Aquino on said plan, he was instructed by the president to coordinate with the AFP (military) prior time target to prepare all mechanized military assets in that area to support SAF in case the plan would be failed.
The plan was failed when the SAF was surrounded by different rebel groups in that area and only during the encounter in the morning when Gen. Napeñas asking help or coordinating with the military unfortunately SAF 44 were killed.

It was a poor leadership and corruption of former President Aquino which lids to this massacre. I remember during that time General Espina was crying in front of the camera while being questioned, he was crying for his fallen soldiers. He wanted to send reinforcement when he received the news but the army wasn't sending. Thank God former President Aquino is dead, his pathetic life is not enough for 44 life he killed.
This will forever be remembered. I have two seniors who died, it was my freshmam year and we were so heartbroken from the news. We broke down. Rest in Peace mates!
The president ABNOY AQUINO was not even present during home coming of died 44 SAF at the airforce airport, the president ABNOY AQUINO was playing XBOX inside the palace. Later on the beavered family meet with the president ABNOY AQUINO, instead of showing empathy with the beavered family, he was laughing and smiling the rest of the meeting. The beavered family was disappointed and embarrassed. Only ONE received the valour award which is the lone survivor soldier who survive and the rest of the 44 SAF Policemen are not given an award.
Years later on 2017 April 17 the new President Rodrigo Duterte awarded all 44 SAF policemen killed in action a VALOUR and Lapu-Lapu Award, the family was given a proper respect and honour, receiving a lifetime financial assistance, a brand new houses, scholarship for all children of SAF 44 and new jobs to all widowed wife and relatives.
Years later the lone survivor of SAF was mysteriously killed by unknown gunman and was believe to silent him to uncover the truth about SAF 44. Until now the bereaved family and 99% of Filipinos still shouting for JUSTICE and they want all the commanding generals and president ABNOY AQUINO to face a COURT MARTIAL.
Now his completed the SAF45.🤣🤣🤣goodbye to the world abnoy and hello to hellfire!

The president was attending an scheduled event the inaguration of Mitsubishi car plant with it's CEO and Japanese ambassador and not your malicious accusation that the played Xbox.
The president though wasn't able to attend the arrival of the remains of the SAF 44 due to his prior scheduled commitment but he attended the necrological service of SAF 44.

Lacking of coordination is one of the biggest problem between leaders and armed forces....
Those poor men got cornered by the enemy and radiod for help and assistance, but was just taken lightly, seemingly disregarded even with the knowledged of then president Noynoy Aquino. Those saf fought until the end and was sadly slaughtered.. When thier bodies were flown to Manila, then President Aquino did not even went on his way to meet those heroes, but went to attend a party held by a car company.
SAFF is a elite police forces of the Philippines they are not ordinary police man they trains to become a front man in any kind of extremely task.

I remember that very morning when the news broke out about saf44 then there's an actual footage of the killings of saf44 taken by the rebels using one of the saf's cellphone. It's horrible sight to see.
there was no available Scout ranger at that time but only infantry so it was difficult for them to enter the area. Scout Ranger specialized in jungle welfare ect.

Most of the families of the SAF 44 and even the soldiers was upset of the the president back then and also in the Chief Justice . But righ now we are very thankful for the president because he focused in the soldiers,he raised the salary bought some firearms,he loved the soldiers and all of the countrymen. He was criticized by the EU,US,and few more country because of the killings which is the war on drugs but he did the right thing tho,he already said in his campaign that if he will become the president of the Philippines it will be bloody but the people still vote for him and he did what he said which gives us a different change.he has a lot of accomplishment in the Philippines
