What sets Florencio apart from most players is that he only goes for his own custom builds that are always unorthodox and almost always cheese. The first Florencio File was proxy nexus rush.

I don’t know if this is just evidence that cheese takes less skill for higher mmr, but it pains me that this is diamond..
It's just different kind of skill. Freestyle is harder than just perfecting your standard build. And a good cheese messes up your build forcing you to freestyle.
And Flo is very good at that. Because he designs his own builds. This is what "fight smarter not harder" looks like in SC2
@@MrRavellon there is a big difference between even freestyle and cheese - take the probe rush - nothing producing and a big bank to then queue up a bunch after micro-ing
Freestyle is definitely the hardest (and best), standard builds slightly harder than cheese but easy to break, cheese just kind of banking on micro and aggressive timings
‘The scariest players are ones that can cheese and macro’, but that’s not quite what we’re seeing, or poorly executed macro whilst cheesing
@@PJOZeus You may think it's simple cheese, but it's not. Flo develops his strategies meticulously. There is always a follow up in mind, for almost any response the opponent may try.
A regular cheeser would just give up if this kind of probe rush failed to win him the game. Flo however always has a plan for a set back, as long as the game isn't completely lost.
Really, watch some of his games, be it on his channel, Pig's or Winter's. You'd be surprised at the complexity. Especially if you manage to catch him explaining one of his strats on his stream. It's fascinating.
@@MrRavellon haven’t seen his stream but am otherwise very familiar with Florencio. People in the metal leagues may give up as soon as a cheese fails, but at the higher leagues, such as diamond where he is, they will (almost) always have a follow up
As for the complexity? It’s a complex game in general, nothing he does (or could do) is jaw dropping
Being able to deviate from a plan, or ‘crisis management’ is what allows most people to climb in the first place
Take someone like Bly for example, an extremely cheesy Zerg pro, and also rather entertaining to watch, macro, micro, cheese or safe
They could be off-racing. I think this is evidence that cheese take less skill at low MMR lol.
