I broke that nipple replacing the condenser, broke at the base. Opened up the hole with a drill bit then tapped it for a trans cooler line , spread jb weld around threads, around hole and snugged her up. Years later still good not a drop lost.
0:56 what is that whole system I currently have this motor swapped into a trans am and those metal lines that go under the intake are leaking coolant how do I stop that /I do have it blocked off where it seems you have a hose going on the tip
That metal tube runs between the cylinder heads (engine coolant bleed/crossover pipe). The hose on that tube is not a full hose. It only wraps around the tubing (approx 90 percent) to act as some sort of insulator for the tubing inside of it. It looks like that part number is 12694769 for the one that fits the L77 6.0L engine in my 2014 Caprice. In the pictures I have found for that part number, you can see the "rubber hose" part simply covers the crossover tubing.
The 2011-2013 Chevy Caprice PPV (WM series) has hydraulic assisted power steering with the power steering pump located above the alternator. The 2014-2017 Chevy Caprice PPV (WN series) has electric assisted power steering, so the power steering pump was removed. My car is a 2014 Chevy Caprice PPV, so no power steering pump.
The original water pump in my 2014 Caprice PPV had a some play that I tried to demonstrate in the video. The first replacement water pump had the pulley pressed on unevenly, but I was able to get Amazon to replace it under the ACDelco warranty within a couple of days. I purchased the first water pump several months before I got around to filming the cooling system refresh video. By that time, the return window had closed, but Amazon dealt with it nicely through the ACDelco warranty. The second one arrived and is installed in the car now. No more play in the water pump drive shaft. It looks like the 2011-2017 Chevy Caprice PPV 6.0L all use the same water pump.
@@RetroCarGuy530 my current one has enough play you can feel and see it with the belt still on. Im going to purchase one from Amazon my local parts store is over $100 higher than amazon
If you're going to buy it through Amazon, please consider (not required at all) using my affiliate link for the ACDelco 251-728 original equipment water pump. I will make a commission on the purchase, but it won't increase your price at all. My affiliate link for that water pump is amzn.to/2EGhsIe It's a great way to support my channel at no extra cost to you! Thanks.
I think you could use the one from the SS Sedan. The part charts for the SS don't show a part number for that part. The Caprice part charts show it as part number 92246934. It looks like there are a few of them on eBay at this point for about double going rate of various online part websites at $28.04.
No. My Caprice PPV was owned by the San Juaquin County Sheriff's department, CA and it was sold at auction to a dealership in Modesto, CA. The dealership sold the car to a relative in Oakland, CA, but when COVID-19 restrictions hit they decided to sell it and that's when I purchased it back in March 2020. I looked at several up for auction in Vallejo, CA before I purchased this one, but they all had some serious issue that prevented them from being used as the basis for my project car.
I don't have the means to obtain and export parts out of the U.S. I'm sorry I can't help you obtain parts for your Caprice. My source for parts have been: Amazon, RockAuto, a local wrecking yard and a couple of Facebook groups for the Caprice PPV. The water pump for my 2014 Caprice was $177.60 USD from Amazon when I purchased it back in May 2020.

Three years later, my radiator nipple repair is also holding up well.
Once again, an incredible video on a professional job for the PPV POLICE CAPRICE...
Thanks!
I really like these clips, I'm your first supporter
Thank you!

Hi what are u meen PPV FROM KSA 🇸🇦
I'm not exactly sure what you're asking, but if you're asking what PPV means, it's "Police Patrol Vehicle".
This is my question
Where is the power steering pump? Mine has one where yours just has a pully

I'm curious if you could purchase that T off an SS and if it would fit.

Did you get the Caprice from the state auction in Davis?

I have a Caprice 2012, we are suffering from the spread of some adulterated parts, so you can help me deliver some parts to Saudi Arabia
