      Perfect comment. Some guns are great for 6v6 some great for Invasion/GW. Then battle riffles have the worst of both sides and feel like they're balanced for neither/both

      Because in MW3, it was an absolute beast. Zero recoil, 40 round mag, high fire rate, ridiculous TTK, and SMG movement/ADS speeds. With stalker, it was the best CQB gun in the game. Ever since then, they've made the MP7 a bit worse each time, and the new MW2 version is the worst yet.
      What bugs me about it the most is the slower movement speed... In reality, the MP5 is a heavy bastard, closer to assault rifle weight, and the MP7 is ridiculously small/light, so wtf.

    I still hate so much how attachments so often do more harm than good. It feels really difficult to truly customize your gun when everything just seems to make one or two stats only marginally better at the cost of really dumpstering some other stats.

      It depends on the gun. The MP7 in particular I only ever use 4 attachments but there's some guns where there's actually 5 attachments worth using.

      It's necessary to balance the weapons. Imagine if none of the scopes had glint, or if none of the underbarrels had an impact on ADS. Things would truly be too powerful. Now we have to actually think our builds through instead of throwing on the best of all attachments and pubstomping. I like it. It's a nice challenge for an otherwise cakewalk of a game and it makes building the guns fun. I like to think of it as then putting balancing in my hands and not just theirs. I can choose attachments, then optimize it to the maximum through the tuning process.

      I think that's because of the little nerfs they have done to it. I normally love using the MP7 in games, whether it was in Battlefield or Call of Duty, it is normally a favorite of mine for precise, but quick gun play. I am annoyed with the nerfs when you have more solid options like the Vector and MP5.

      @@TehCoD1KNifER15 yeah, I mean these videos are guides on the gun, yet he only covers barrels and shit and so as such, they're really only useful for the Loadouts he gives at the end, cuz we still know almost nothing about how the Weapons Attachments will actually make it perform. At the very least, he should talk about Weapon/Platform Specific Attachments and maybe leave the Universal Attachments out because that would be too much.

      Why does he need to cover the other attachments when literally everything else just slows down your movement and ads time, especially since it’s an smg. The point is to tell you how good the gun is compared to the others not explain every attachment and every possible class setup. If you need more bullets put a mag on, if you’re trying to use it like an Ar then put a big barrel on. It’s pretty simple. You’re mad at Ace for not hand testing everything for each gun but not at the game devs for leaving out detailed stat info for each weapon and attachment like the last two games had? Lol makes sense

      @@killshot3331 No one is mad at Ace. Fact is his guides for 2019 were more in depth than these are though. He didn't cover every attachment in 2019, but he covered barrels (still does), stocks, and often time magazines cause they don't work the same between guns. I miss when he did that, is all. I'd love to know for example how much the fastest stock options are compared to how terrible they make the recoil. Cause maybe it would be worth it to fuck the recoil if the ads speed boost is noticable and I'm playing a small map like Shoot house.

    Ace, can you do a video covering the subtle but constant beeping noise that can be heard in Tier 1? It’s an off-screen heartbeat sensor that emits a noise when an enemy is nearby and I really think people need to be made aware of it so that we can discuss whether or not it belongs in the game

    The Vel 46 (MP7) is a fairly fun weapon to use in matches were it's not super competitive, but once you start to hit those more competitive lobbies it's reliability nosedives. It's one of those weapons where it's amazing on paper, but in practice it varies drastically. At close range; unless you are good at aiming or get lucky with hitting headshots the gun will feel like a peashooter a lot of the time. At the beginning of mid-range to long-range, don't even try you'll just get out DPSed by pretty much everything even by most pistols. In a game where you're fighting against players using other weapons (like the MP5, Scar L, P90, sometimes shotguns, and the Ak74u especially) the MP7 can feel like a chore to use at almost every range. There's only been a handful of times where having it was a good choice, although I could have had the same result with a different weapon like the P90. And in my experience the P90 is just a straight up upgrade in almost every category besides slightly slower ADS speed and fire rate.
    If I had to add to Ace's loadout choice, I would definitely add at least the 50 round mag. In most gunfights, I found that the high 950+ rpm would screw you over either when you miss your first few shots or fire more rounds into your dead enemy by accident. This usually leads to constant reloading and getting killed mid-reload, or just not having enough rounds left in the mag. Having the debuff of slower ADS and movement speed barely impacts the performance at all and you'll probably not notice it during matches. The 60 round mag though I would probably stay away from since the debuffs will start to become much more impactful during matches.

    Playing hyper aggressive on shoothouse I was using the slowest barrel and no stock with a hip fire laser, I’d just jump and start shooting as I ads to get more accurate shots on target faster. This seemed to work well enough, never would’ve thought an optimized build would be 2 attachments lol

    Ace is it possible to test if the SBMM patent activision filed a while back is active in MW2? It claimed their ai could dynamically adjust Health, movement speed, accuracy and more based on skill level
    It would explain why theres some games where a gun you're extremely familiar with just feels *wrong* all of a sudden beyond just ping

      I've noticed the same thing, like the hit detection is just pure jank. I've watched tracers go clean through enemies in both my POV and theirs in the kill cam, even. I do recall their patent mentioning skill-based hit detection, and while the patent details PVE games, that does not mean it could/would not be adapted to PVP games.

      Given the design of their "Pro Tuned" weapons and being completely hidden on what they do it is possible. Realistically there would be almost no way to test.
      It would be purely server side denying custom games and if only applied when aiming near enemies.
      Testing this would be a nightmare since you need a stationary enemy not playing the game which means even with someone helping smart programming would turn it off as it determines the player is away.
      There would be so many factors that could influence this that if it was designed well unless you could access their stuff server side it should be hidden.

      I imagine it would be almost impossible to test tho.
      Even assuming that Activision has implemented it, it would be hard to see its effects explicitly. A typical player would take thousands of individual actions across a match (i.e moving, aiming, sprinting, shooting, reloading) etc. Many of these actions are already quite fast and difficult to accurately measure in a match.
      In addition, there are many variables during matches that would muddy the results. Take a scenario where an enemy kills you from medium range in 3 shots. Did the game interfere to make you lose? You can't say for sure. Perhaps that enemy had a particular set up with his gun that gave him extra damage and range. Perhaps he had a perk or Field Upgrade that boosted his own ability. Perhaps it was the netcode and it is muddying what happened. Perhaps here IW applied a fine if sneaky Stealth Nerf/Buff. Or perhaps it was just a bug etc. It's not like competitive Pokemon where you can easily pull out a damage calculator in between turns and easily check the numbers.
      As a result, you can't just point to a single action and say "See. This is the patent in action". Or even many actions.
      The cloest evidence we may get is with pro players who have played the game enough to memorize most of its stats and stuff and they might be able note if something is fishy. But without access to the actual data Activision has, we cannot say for sure.

      i thought i was going crazy so im glad others have noticed this too. how in the hell does my ftac usually kill in 2 hits but suddenly it turns in to a hit marker machine after a few good games? i had to dump 6 rounds in to an enemy in my 3rd game after 2 games where i had a really good kd. something sinister could be in the works here, sbmm nerfing gun damage?

    I have a ton of fun using the MP7 in 3rd person mode. Using all 5 attachment slots to help with hip fire recoil and hip fire accuracy

    I love how ADS Speeds in this game are so goddamn slow, even on the Weapons MEANT FOR FAST ADS ACQUISITION to the point where you can die like 2 or 3 times in a row before Aiming Down the Sights of your Weapon. Absolutely wild...

      To be fair Treyarch's is more apt. They said loot boxes wouldn't have weapons and then had some incredibly unique and incredibly powerful weapons.
      Both IW and Trey are notoriously bad, Sledgehammer likely isn't far off either.

    the way i play with the vel 46 is increase hip fire accuracy and have collapsed stock for movement, this gun has an insanely tight hip fire accuracy to start and making it even more makes it easier to kill at close to mid range while not worrying too much about ads

    I’m actually glad they’re being careful with low recoil weapons now. Remember mw3 when everyone and their mother ran an MP7 or ACR bc they had super low recoil but similar TTK and handling as the other weapons? Made the game bland af. Low recoil weapons need significant downsides.

    Unrelated, but could you test proximity chat in warzone? Me and my buddies are arguing about whether people can still hear us when we turn it off in our settings and still use game chat to talk to each other. I've seen conflicting reports.

      I imagine it would be hard for him to test it. It doesn't seem like he can set up a private match in Warzone/DMZ with 2 players on the opposite team to test the proximity chat. The closest he might he might be able to do is just walk up to groups randomly talking on his own chat and noticing when most groups seem to react. And even that would be imprecise since he can't exactly tell when or if the other people heard it.
      Still, if there's anyone that could test it out, it would be Ace.

      I wouldn't call it shit, it pretty usable and at least competetive. "Minibak" is way worse, rate of fire is so slow, that you got killed by almost any other gun, before you can do some damage.

    Like so many of the other SMGs in this game, this could use a headshot damage buff and that 7 shot range needs to be removed so it’s only 6 at max range. The ARs with that 6 shot range (M4, STB, Lachmann 556), also need it removed so it takes 5 and they need headshot buffs as well. Kastov 545, M16, and M13 also need headshot damage buffs as well. The only ones that don’t need to be touched are the TAQ 56 and Kastov 74U. So many guns need buffs to be viable

      I looked into this because snipers have the same thing. Apparently rechamberig speed is what it sounds like, faster rechambering/fire rate and then rechambering accuracy supposedly rechambering while ADS is less accurate/more bounce

      I removed my lasers too. It just gives away your position. You can just tune all your attachments for ADS and it feels pretty much the same with a laser on.

    my prefered build with only a minor hit to ads: muzzle: bruen pendulum, weight -0.21 ads, length 0.30 gun kick control, underbarrel: phase-3 grip, weight -0.80 ads speed, +0.13 aiming idle stability, 50 or 60 mag, optic: cronen mini pro: weight -2.23 ads speed, eye position +2.25 close, stock: assault-60 stock, weight -4.00 ads speed, lenght +1.94 aiming idle stability

    The build I use is an aggressive build. Tango barrel, VLK Lazer, Vel collapse stock, 30 Mag, ZLR grip. The 30 Mag isn't necessary unless you want/need the extra ADS speed

    I did realize how helpful the reduced capacity mags improve handling in the beta and I definitely could see them being a very common attachment on the MP7. 40 rounds per mag is more than enough in most situations so reducing it doesn’t really hurt anything.

    Considering how generally useless hollow point rounds are in this game, I feel like it should be reworked to be like Vanguard’s hollow points on non-sniper/marksman rifles to remove the negative limb damage multiplier. At close range where most people are going to be jumpshoting, dropshoting and slide canceling, it’s really easy to land a single arm or leg shot and fuck up your TTK when guns like the 74u and 762 don’t have limb multipliers and have the same TTK regardless.

    The best SMG is the X13 Akimbo with 2x50 rounds and all the hipfire bonus you can stack. 2x1200 rpm death spitting machine, works even at medium range due to the sheer volume of fire.

    I think any time you would use that laser attachment on the first build, its pretty much always better to use the canted vibro dot instead (unless you're doing a long ranged build). I've been consistently able to laser people out to like 40 meters while using the canted laser on LMGs built for ADS and sprint out speed, which hurts the recoil control. I legitimately think its the best sight in the game, you have a super clear view picture since the gun is held pretty low down, and it saves an attachment slot so its better than any red dot sight

    Kitted my aggro build out with the collapsed stock. Obviously cant engage in mid-long ranges but boy is that short range movement and hipfire killer with the mp7. Had fun grinding it

    hey ace, love ur videos, i’m curious on how different suppressors affect your damage range. i’ve been using the echoline gs-x suppressor on a lot of guns since it doesn’t have any ADS drawbacks. it doesn’t look like there’s much of a range penalty but this is cod🤷🏾‍♂️

    Alot of people hate the mp7 but for some reason I have the best luck with it out of all the SMGs. I use the First Barrel, the Sprint to fire and ADS laser and the rest of the ADS/ Sprint to fire attachments. It's obviously not as good as the MW19 Mp7 or my Favorite Bo2 mp7. (Never played MW3, didn't have a system at the time)

      I thought the MP7 was very medicore in MW19. It felt like it shot BBs at times. There were much better SMG options than the MP7. (CX-9, MP5 and Uzi with .41AE mags)

    Bro made a nasty hipfire build ( although ik a lot of people don't like hipfire since you're Essentially leaving your gunfights up to chance) but this gun has a nasty hipfire with the point-g3p 04 (laser) Bruening pendulum (muzzle) the vx pineapple (underbarrel) the collapsed (stock) and the zlr combat grip (rear grip)

    The problem lies in adding negatives to attachments. The purpose of an attachment is a bonus, even if its negligible. That's why it costs a slot. They will never get this system balanced.

    They need to fix attachments, I don't use rear grip and stocks because all of this attachments who improve aiming down sight hurt the recoil control. In MW, this attachments hurt aiming stabilty and I was fine with this

    If you have an extra attachment slot, isn't it always a good idea to at least put armor piercing rounds in there for the extra penetration? Especially since the downtime on an SMG is non-existent.

    Can you make a vid about the best spots to use the drill charge? I saw someone using it while underwater in ZARQWA HYDROELECTRIC and he hit point B from below. Maybe there are more interesting spots like that

    Xclusive Ace!!! How’s it going ? I think you need to double check the Tango 22B barrel’s Recoil. It claims there is no change to recoil, and the gun seems to kick way more than some of the other barrels. Maybe I’m wrong but I thought I would let you know anyways, keep up the great videos!

    I used this only to unlock camos.
    I made my gun terrible.
    I wanted to bring out my inner gangsta.
    Canted laser for my cliche gangsta needs.
    No stock to give it the look.
    Muzzle to try save the dying recoil.
    That was basics. Cant remember others.
    It was hell trying to hit anything outside 10m
    But somehow sometimes i went on insane kill streaks
