People would still watch, not everyone likes to read and use detailed statistics to try to come up with the best build for them, So ace would still have plenty of people coming by.
It's actually funny because in the previous games where they added advanced stats I still watched his videos because a lot of times the stats were just incorrect. I doubt his views would drop that much, but that's just me.
Ehhhhh not necessarily. Cold War displayed pretty much all advanced stats (some not completely accurately but still a good first attempt) and Vanguard was a bit of a step back, and people still watched his vids. People like being told things by someone who knows what they're talking about.
Honestly I really like the hurricane, one of my favourite SMG in the game purely because its like a hybrid AR/SMG with very forgiving recoil. It might not be strong but shots on target are very consistent.
It's actually one of if not the best hipfire build in the entire game. It can be comically accurate with the hip spread buffs from the stock, barrel, laser, foregrip, and a sprintout time foregrip. It's just top teir
I like using the canted laser on this gun to mitigate the slow ads speeds. Would like to see a dedicated video on canted lasers as they really change the character of a gun pretty drastically when equipped.

I find this gun to be great. 50 rounds great, and the right attachments I feel it's more of a Lazer almost. It's personally one of my go to guns. I feel I can actually challenge some camper looking out a window with how accurate this gun is.

Ace I think you should consider headshots actually make a big help up close. Consider you can get 1 headshot turning it into a 3shot kill anywhere long as you get 1 headshot in the mix making it’s actually more forgiving on shot placement

I find it a very odd weapon. You either use it at very close range, or more of a long range weapon. It's kinda funky, but fun. Which is nice to see, as there are far too many people running round with very 'unfun' weapons. 😂
I really like that the p90 and ffs hurricane's velocity is really high. Irl, the 5.7mm cartridge was specifically designed to be really high velocity, in order to defeat body armor.
I feel like whenever a gun has a big mag, the developers nerf other properties of said gun so hard, which always leads to a disappointing gun overall. Honestly can't think of a base weapon with a big magazine (apart from LMG's) being a dominant gun in a CoD game

This is my favorite gun in the game. For whatever reason when I use it, I shred with it. If I try to use one of the meta guns, I don't do as well. Not sure what's up but man I love it.
My favourite gun so far. I lean fully into recoil control and use it like a long range laser beam lmg. This gun is extremely underrated at long range imo.
When leveling up this gun I kind of had the feeling it was a miniature LMG due to the fact that the magazine lasts so long with its slower rate of fire than the FN P90. There's also a cool animation note as with a lot of guns when you're mounted and you reload you stay mounted to the surface but with this gun it breaks your mount to reload much like the LMGs in this game. I found this gun to be an odd choice as it's very obscure even within the gun community and it's only redeeming factor is that it uses the large capacity of a P90 magazine but while having a very awkward reload cycle. It would have been cool to have the CMMG banshee chambered in 5.7 using the FN 57 magazines and at the same time use that as a basis for a general AR9 weapon in the game as there is none currently like there was in the previous game through the caliber change attachment.
I love this gun, it feels like a reliable mix of AR and SMG and with the forgiving recoil, I can't blame the gun when I completely miss the opponent lol All jokes aside I find it really nice and easy to use
Hurricane was my first gold gun here in MW2, absoutely loved it, even going back to it for a few games to get that new attachment i was loving it again, its the only SMG i've used since launch.
As a proud owner of this weapon, it's an AR-57 you're right. Pronounced AR Five Seven and not AR Fifty Seven due to the cartridge its chambered - 5.7mm. Same cartridge (and mag) the P90 uses and the FN FiveseveN hand gun.
I really like seeing ammo conversion AR15 style rifles in games. Like, that M4 that fires 9mm bullets from Killing Floor 2? That's just cute. Or the M16 that fires .50 rounds from Rainbow 6, that's pretty dang badass.
I can never tell if I like this gun, I feel I either make it too bouncy with attachments or too unforgiving with a slower speed. The ttk also feels odd sometimes I feel like I’m doing great other times it feels like I have to out half a Mag into someone
Curious, when looking at base recoil (around 03:00min) you have "bounce" from the recoil, but most of the side-to-side movement on the recoil looks like sway from aim stability. How does it line up if you try to tighten stabiility, rather than focus on recoil control ?

I *LOVE* the Hurricane out of almost all the SMGs aside from the Fennic. I thought it was an amazing gun in the beta and I was glad that it kept that momentum into the full game. Like you said about it being an SMG-AR hybrid, it feels a lot like the one (or at least first) DLC weapon from Black Ops 2. But I'm always someone that tends to like the more middle of the road guns it seems like. I like having range but I'm terrible at keeping on target properly in most cases to really stretch it for most guns in auto, so those stats on things aside from BRs and Marksman don't really matter to me. And having the 50 round mag is an utter delight, I already have (Mostly) broken the habit of reloading unless my mag is at half or less unless things are fairly clear. But even a half mag on this or the P90 is practically nothing to worry about most of the time. I just tend to find myself leaning towards the fennic due to the fire rate more than anything. Aaaand it needing the most work to get to max level. Some of the specialized/single platform guns in the game have stupidly high level caps I feel like. 27 levels for a single gun when half of that isn't even for actual attachments? So stupid.
I hope you can test the ads of rear grips and stocks because ads time in this game is important and its hard for me to get the right build, you dont have to if you dont want but i hope you would do❤
I didn't like this gun very much. That was until I used right attachments and reached "tuning". Then it actually became really good. Very accurate and consistent and I could drop people at range without it feeling like a hitmarker cannon like Bas-P and so many other SMGs. I think it's the bullet velocity that does the trick. It's so fast that the follow up shots land on target so much faster and hence feels and DOES kill faster at range.
6:02 That’s so incredibly frustrating to hear since we don’t have advanced stats. I’m fine with different attachments working better on different guns, but without advanced stats, finding the optimal combination is incredibly time consuming and borderline impossible for the average player.
I think you’re missing out big time not using the canted vibro lazer on this. I ran what was basically your hipfire setup but with perhaps a barrel on it as well iirc and the lazer puts in so much work especially in the ranges that I wanted to be using this thing
You need to start adding "SBMM damage" lol. "That's a 4-shot kill, or if you are decent at the game, that's 6-13 hit markers, not too bad. Just keep your k/d under .75 and you should be melting people in about 12 games."

This gun is deceptively good. Yeah it might have a slower ttk, but the recoil pattern + bullet velocity + high base 50 round clip make this gun one of the easiest to use in the game.
Sup ace. I feel like you should have started the smg category with the vector, vaznev, and mp5 just so you get some overlap with the warzone community.
If building can be this complicated then IW needs to implement tools to measure in the shooting range, or better yet measurement tools plus a full obstacle course with targets.
Ive noticed you use a non-standard ammo type with most of your loadouts. Ive watched your ammo type vids and didnt think the benefits were worth the attachment slot in most cases. Could you do a video that touches on optimization of raw stats vs losing some of that for ammo types?
He did do a video looking specifically on ammo types and initially dismissed them as usually not being worth the attachment slot with the normal downsides. However it seems that with the fact that he doesn't tend to fully kit out his guns, if there's no real downside to adding an ammo type (like the minor drop to velocity being a very negligible tradeoff on the Hurricane and most ammo types have that tradeoff) that has some benefit, why not toss it on? Sort of like the shark fin foregrip. No reason not to use it if you have the attachment slot open.
i find the smgs really inconsistent in this game with the limb multiplier and operator animations, sometimes itll take a lot more hitmarkers than it should to kill a guy even in close ranges just because the bullets seemed to go through his middle finger before hitting his chest
Best thing about this gun is the magazine, big capacity as default without having to sacrifice with an attachment upgrade. Cancels out the reload time imo. Needs a sight attachment big time though
Ace, have you heard the rumors going around that if you search for a party, and change from “competitive” to “casual” in the preferences tab, it will significantly tone down SBMM?
Considering how this is one of the slow firing SMGs, it needs a headshot buff, especially that 49 close damage. That needs to be at least 50 so it can 2 shot to the head
I've been messing around in the gun range with the raal and noticed that head shot is 2 hit but a chin shot is 1 shot. It's like it hits the head and chest multipliers at the same time. I don't have the setup for in game testing.
Great video as always. Would you be able to do some guides for guns other than SMG’s or assault rifles? Would love a look into some of the marksman rifles, I feel like some of those are quite interesting and variable with attachments etc, more so than the snipers.
Im gonna try a funny max range build with all the speed attachments like the old school m4 style builds from MW19. Long barrel, big suppressor, no stock and fast grip
I feel like the FSS Hurricane should have the same range of the Mp5 and the Mp5 not kill with 3 bullets to the body instead require one headshot to reach a 3 shot kill, also the Vasnev require 2 upper torso shots The current SMG balancing makes the Hurricane, P90 and Minibak pretty much useless
AR-57 is the real gun for anyone asking. It's a custom upper for an AR-15 (hence the AR part) that was developed to take P90 (which shoots 5.7mm ammunition hence the 57) magazines from the top and eject out the bottom through the open magwell on the AR reciever. No it does not take magazines from the bottom. Any pictures you see like that are people who probably took the spring and follower out of a PMAG to act as a brass catcher.
1:28 thats an interesting detail i wonder if its on purpose since this weapon uses the 5.7 type ammo from fn which was designed as a tiny 5.56 round described as a missle as theyre made to go very fast if its the same with the p90 which is also from FN that means it was on purpose fun fact its five seven as in 5.7mm not fiftyseven

I wonder how forgiving it is with a 50% hit rate of your shots (or missing two shots whatever) what’s the time to kill then bc some guns might be way forgiving than others. This gun is really underrated. Even with max mobility/handling build, recoil is still very forgiving event with mid-range engagments.

Combine the recoil control and a Holo sight and this thing is unstoppable at medium ranges.

I was thinking the first barrel was giving a much bigger boost to range then it actually gives. We really need the advanced stats page
the problem is you need to get the Recon to lvl 16 and that gun to annoying as hell to level with.

it reminds me somewhat of the peacekeeper. a hybrid that on paper isnt super competitive anywhere, but feels good everywhere.

Yeah it might have a slower ttk, but the recoil pattern + bullet velocity + high base 50 round clip make this gun one of the easiest to use in the game.
I like the weapon but I won’t pretend I really think it’s good. It just feels off for me but I like the design of the weapon.

Sup ace. I feel like you should have started the smg category with the vector, vaznev, and mp5 just so you get some overlap with the warzone community.
If building can be this complicated then IW needs to implement tools to measure in the shooting range, or better yet measurement tools plus a full obstacle course with targets.
Only smg I haven’t touched since I don’t feel like leveling up the ftac lol. Minibak is nice though.
Ive noticed you use a non-standard ammo type with most of your loadouts. Ive watched your ammo type vids and didnt think the benefits were worth the attachment slot in most cases. Could you do a video that touches on optimization of raw stats vs losing some of that for ammo types?

He did do a video looking specifically on ammo types and initially dismissed them as usually not being worth the attachment slot with the normal downsides. However it seems that with the fact that he doesn't tend to fully kit out his guns, if there's no real downside to adding an ammo type (like the minor drop to velocity being a very negligible tradeoff on the Hurricane and most ammo types have that tradeoff) that has some benefit, why not toss it on? Sort of like the shark fin foregrip. No reason not to use it if you have the attachment slot open.

i find the smgs really inconsistent in this game with the limb multiplier and operator animations, sometimes itll take a lot more hitmarkers than it should to kill a guy even in close ranges just because the bullets seemed to go through his middle finger before hitting his chest

Best thing about this gun is the magazine, big capacity as default without having to sacrifice with an attachment upgrade. Cancels out the reload time imo. Needs a sight attachment big time though

I’m a warzone mobile player. And this gun is always my go to one.
Considering how this is one of the slow firing SMGs, it needs a headshot buff, especially that 49 close damage. That needs to be at least 50 so it can 2 shot to the head
I've been messing around in the gun range with the raal and noticed that head shot is 2 hit but a chin shot is 1 shot. It's like it hits the head and chest multipliers at the same time. I don't have the setup for in game testing.
This gun works well in Warzone and this makes sense now. Would love a series exactly like this but based on Warzone

Great video as always. Would you be able to do some guides for guns other than SMG’s or assault rifles? Would love a look into some of the marksman rifles, I feel like some of those are quite interesting and variable with attachments etc, more so than the snipers.

The Hurricane was one of those guns I didn't really know about until I picked it up from the ground and was surprised by how good it was
Im gonna try a funny max range build with all the speed attachments like the old school m4 style builds from MW19. Long barrel, big suppressor, no stock and fast grip

I feel like the FSS Hurricane should have the same range of the Mp5 and the Mp5 not kill with 3 bullets to the body instead require one headshot to reach a 3 shot kill, also the Vasnev require 2 upper torso shots
The current SMG balancing makes the Hurricane, P90 and Minibak pretty much useless
I think based on the fact the gun comes standard with an "extended mag" it may be better to compare it to smgs with their extended magazines equipped

Honestly the recoil showcase doesn't even look like it has horizontal recoil. Looks like all the side-to-side is from sway alone.
Maybe a little buff on the damage range should be great
AR-57 is the real gun for anyone asking. It's a custom upper for an AR-15 (hence the AR part) that was developed to take P90 (which shoots 5.7mm ammunition hence the 57) magazines from the top and eject out the bottom through the open magwell on the AR reciever. No it does not take magazines from the bottom. Any pictures you see like that are people who probably took the spring and follower out of a PMAG to act as a brass catcher.

1:28 thats an interesting detail i wonder if its on purpose since this weapon uses the 5.7 type ammo from fn which was designed as a tiny 5.56 round described as a missle as theyre made to go very fast
if its the same with the p90 which is also from FN that means it was on purpose

With respect to the hurricane and really any gun since I don’t have the best accuracy I’m not gonna hit 100% ever. I wonder how forgiving it is with a 50% hit rate of your shots (or missing two shots whatever) what’s the time to kill then bc some guns might be way forgiving than others. Is it just high fire rate or ?Anyway, Thanks for the video!
