Hi Kasta. I don't know if you've been told or if it's in this video yet, but you don't need to 'assign' your weapon or armour during battle. It's just there in case you want to change it once you have multiple pieces or armour or weapons later in the game. Just one tip after watching last episode and start of this one. The Armor, Weapon menu in combat lets you switch armor and weapons if you have multiple and for some reason you want to switch them out mid combat. The main armor and weapons you've equipped in the main menu are always equipped and you do not need to select them from the battle menu. Basically unless you have some very specific strategies and set ups there is pretty much no reason ever to use the combat menu options for armor and weapons. It is just straight up a waste of a turn.

@@Deadono international is like the final fantasy version of final mix from kingdom hearts. it was the "definitive version" but not the original version. also the international version was basically japan/asia only, until the remaster. so you are probably confusing those versions up. as a side note, its not advised for beginners to use the international grid. which is why i think she should've played the remasters on pc(if possible), as it also gives the speed up for grinding which is a god send if she got skill blocked at some point and decided to grind.
@@marcosdheleno Nah he's not confusing anything. It's just that the original PAL version was always the international version from the start because games used to release later than the JP and NA releases in PAL regions. Suteki da ne the theme that plays with Yuna leaving the temple is literally one of the best things to come out of Final Fantasy X such a beautiful song!
Glad to see someone playing the game for the first time trying to be thourough and do all sidequests etc. But as you've already experienced with the first Temple trial where you didn't get the treasure before being immediately shoved into the next cutscene and not being allowed to go back. That's just nearly impossible if you're going in blind. There's a lot of significant stuff to easily miss in older games like this. Al Bhed Lexica can be easily missed as well as the treasure in these Temples which is actually really important. It's not just about the immediate treasure you get in the temple, but getting all of the treasures in every temple unlocks a very significant thing later on. It's not a dealbreaker that completely ruins the game or anything and in fact most first time streamers miss it all the time. But it's also tied to some character backstory which makes it hurt even more if you miss it. Especially because you're playing the international version which makes it really difficult to go back to some of these temples later on is all I'm saying. Not impossible but involves a lot of grinding. If you really want to get those I'd recommend at least following some spoiler free guide for the Temple Trials alone. It sucks but that's just how it is with older games like this. No quest markers or anything pointing you towards some very significant missable secrets. Oh and maybe where to find some items important for each character's Ultimate weapons. Sometimes equally difficult to get back to in the international version if you miss them the first time you're in that specific area during the story (especially when you're just mentally done after one of the most difficult battles in the main story). Regardless I hope you're ready for some excessive grinding if you really want to show the additional content of the international version :)
By the way, the soundtrack for FFX had a lot of the same talent as in FF7 Rebirth (Hamauzu was heavily involved in a lot of X's tracks), as this was the first game that wasn't solely composed by Uematsu. Loving your appreciation for FF music. May it own your soul as it does many of us. :P

In FF7R, when we first started seeing the Weapons inside the Mako Reactors like the one that swallowed Tifa, I remember thinking they looked like small versions of Sin. Now, seeing this again, it's just reinforced. They have very similar builds to them.
Yuna is in my top 3 FF characters, so incredibly excited for this episode. The combat system is really good, and some bosses in the second half of the game can be tough, so better experiment and slowly learn the mechanics :).
So happy that I found your channel! Also, you don't have to equip armor and weapons during battle, unless you want to switch to a specific armor or weapon.
I've played the remaster so much that its changed my perspective on the original. The original Final Fantasy X. Its so beautiful. The music and the visuals...and the feeling, it's got such an amazing atmosphere.
LOVE the playthrough. going great so far. Just so y'know you don't have to keep equiping accessories in combat XD. That's only if you have an accessory that has an effect that counters the enemy you're fighting. Besides that, whichever one you have selected outside of combat stays on you permanently.
In this episode, perennial trickster Wakka shoves a kid he just met into the Lake of Infinite Pirahnas, and Random Battles finally get their vengeance after 22 years of being replaced!
don't know if anyone's commented on this yet, but you don't have to re-equip weapons or armor for every battle. Only if you want to change what they're already using. The small pink mark next to the equipment indicates that the character has that particular item already equipped. Also activating nodes in the sphere grid doesn't use up sphere levels, only movement does. nodes are activated by specific spheres and you use 1 for every one activated.

Besides, I've never seen anyone choose the expert grid on their first run ... that choice at the beginning of the game is KINDA IMPORTANT, wish someone woulda told her about it! looking at you, Kasta's Team! 😂
So by the time we got FFX the international version was already out so that was all we ever got and had the expert sphere grid and additional superbosses from the start. The first release never released in PAL regions is all he's saying.
Almost every ost in FFX are beautiful and precious ❤
Something to note about Cheer is that it stacks up to 5 times. So you can use it up to 5 times in a battle.
The Nostalgia though. I was 13 years old when I played this game. This takes me way back. God I'm so old lol. And yes, there are random battles to farm s. levels to make your characters a little stronger and interactions much easier for you. Great video!
1:25 this track is called besaid island
When I think of nostalgic video game music this one hits the deepest core of my soul 😭
Same, I remember the first time I heard it the joy I felt
No critical hit in the history of games was ever as satisfying as Wakka's blitzball crit
Auron's is right there too
"BOOya!"
Just found your channel recently. Absolutely loving the FF content. Can't wait to watch you do 9-1. I hope you don't skip 7, the original 7 is amazing and definitely worth the experience.
Still can’t believe you are playing this GOATED game! This is my 2nd favorite Square Enix game on PS2. #1 will always be Dragon Quest 8 which I highly recommend!!!
I love your reactions to everything. FFX is my all time favorite game and I'm glad that so many people enjoy playing it! Great stuff, have fun 🙂
Now that we've established Maggie enjoys turn based combat I really hope she adds Persona 3, 4 & 5 to her backlog as well as the rest of the Final Fantasy series. I'm sure she'd love the story and characters in those games as well!
i love that she spent a minute trying to figure out how to get the unreachable chest.. I remember my first time playing thinking i can climb up somewhere clicking on the wall the whole way lmao
Upon realizing that random encounters were a thing "Wait, can you farm like this?"
Never a more pure gamer moment.
Yuna is one of my most favorite characters in all of fiction. Such an amazing well written character.
Hello,
I love this game, ty so much for playing it with us. I NEED MOREEEEE! XD
"I'm smushing Lulu and Yuna together..." Yeah, you and like 1,000 artists on the internet...
The slow realization of random battles 😂. Watching you slowly learn mechanics, the grid system, and make some mistakes really makes me giggle. This is easily my favorite game, FF7 original being a close second.
Great more of FFX: International and I'm ready for pt 2
i really enjoyed the first part, as always you and Ginger
have an enjoyable Thursday thanx amazing Kasta.💓🐈:)
I cannot believe this game is 23 years old. 9/11 was less than 2 months away when this released.
I would say look up the cloisters because it won’t mess up story and you need all the treasures for later
In FF7R, when we first started seeing the Weapons inside the Mako Reactors like the one that swallowed Tifa, I remember thinking they looked like small versions of Sin. Now, seeing this again, it's just reinforced. They have very similar builds to them.
I never noticed that until now lol.
Yuna is in my top 3 FF characters, so incredibly excited for this episode. The combat system is really good, and some bosses in the second half of the game can be tough, so better experiment and slowly learn the mechanics :).
Same, I adore Yuna.
Waifu
So happy that I found your channel! Also, you don't have to equip armor and weapons during battle, unless you want to switch to a specific armor or weapon.
I've played the remaster so much that its changed my perspective on the original. The original Final Fantasy X. Its so beautiful. The music and the visuals...and the feeling, it's got such an amazing atmosphere.
Glad to see you playing. Looking forward to the next episode.
Ahhh, good ol' turn-based random battles I feel asleep to Besaid theme in high school when it was released
Lowkey currently the best playthrough on youtube rn lol
that nostalgia when the Besaid theme hits. puts me right back in 6th grade
LOVE the playthrough. going great so far. Just so y'know you don't have to keep equiping accessories in combat XD.
That's only if you have an accessory that has an effect that counters the enemy you're fighting.
Besides that, whichever one you have selected outside of combat stays on you permanently.
Watching you learn the sphere grid is very funny. I always found this one the most simple and all other final fantasy games confusing.
when I say “what’s our goal?” you say, “fill all 99 save slots!” lol
1:42:08 “it just happened to be a detour to looking at yuna” im dying 😂😂
A DDetour 👀
you can put yourself on guard in combat by pressing the triangle
In this episode, perennial trickster Wakka shoves a kid he just met into the Lake of Infinite Pirahnas, and Random Battles finally get their vengeance after 22 years of being replaced!
51:15 Crucial! There will be Temples where you only can enter once, so better get those Treasures.
LMAO welcome to Random Encounters Kasta! is random hahaha
don't know if anyone's commented on this yet, but you don't have to re-equip weapons or armor for every battle. Only if you want to change what they're already using. The small pink mark next to the equipment indicates that the character has that particular item already equipped. Also activating nodes in the sphere grid doesn't use up sphere levels, only movement does. nodes are activated by specific spheres and you use 1 for every one activated.
57:15 Laughed out loud. The face of disappointment XD
Well getting all the aeons in the game will be rather interesting now lol. Loving the playthrough so far.
Kasta!!! I been mia because work has been busy hence why its been a while since i sat down and just relaxed to some gameplay reactions. But girl why did you do this to me... now i want to replay FFX lol Cant wait to see your journey and thank you for the content and no rush but I hope you get to FF8 and FF9 someday :)
18:49
Me too!! Even within the soundtrack, this is still one of my favourites...
45:05
I always wondered why!! Like, do Yevon's teachings forbid you to carry spheres with your left hand or what??
The besaid music is among my most nostalgic songs of my youth. Reminds me of happy, simple times. Summer break in the 7th and 8th grade 2002-2003.
Welcome to the 'Random Encounter Battle System' 😂
The Besaid music is such a nostalgic hit man.
The random battles lol. Your reaction was funny. But also you didn’t play Octopath Traveler?? It’s pretty recent and has random battles. Also a fantastic game btw so you should play it.
Speaking of you should play Dragon Quest VIII. You’d love the charm from that game! But also it has random battles 😂
Already hooked on this play-through
I'm here just to listen to the Besaid soundtrack with you 😁
This is now officially my favourite RUclips series.
Ps you don't have to ever change equipment in battle if you don't want to lol. It's just there in case of the rare situation you might find it useful.
6:00 Those fishies are a swarm, that is why you kill multiple 🤣
1:54:28 if I were approached with that line, I wouldn't be able to hold my laughter. In a good way ofc.
Yay!!! More Final Fantasy X: International 🎉🎉 I'm super excited for this playthrough, it's going to be a blast! 💯🔥
I may love FF 7 and 8 but 10 will always have a special place in my heart. Don't care what no one say's, it is a pretty great game with a great storyline
Welcome to random encounters, the staple of every JRPG from that era lol
If I remember correctly, you need to lend o'aka 1101 gill for future discounts. Something like that. You'll have a few more opportunities to lend him gill.
you've probably been told but you're in for a hell of a ride and a treat
Please research the sphere grid. You had me shouting at my TV 🤣
I just started watching your playthrough so im not sure if you find out later, but the hidden treasures in the temples are for legendary weapons later on. Also if you dont get them while your there you can never go back and get them.
About the people going in and out of the shops that reminds me of one of my favorite snes games of all time. Illusions of Gaia where there is a shop that you actually have to wait in line to checkout I think it’s like 1 minute and 30 seconds irl but that attention to detail 😂
This game was absolute peak. I didn't know much about the Japanese as a kid, but I started to associate them with the absolute best games in my collection. 😂
lol, I was hoping you would upload the next part just as I get home from work and stick food on. I just stuck food on, so I can now watch you play my favourite game while I eat
Her not knowing that you don't need to equip your armor in every random battle when it stays equipped all the time makes me feel old.
Ahahaha her reaction to Lulus dress and Tidus “detouring” to tuna 😂😂😂
Oh man am I excited for this series!
I just discovered your first FFX vid today, LOVED IT, and was immediately wanting to watch more, wondering how many days I’d have to wait…then you dropped this vid a couple hours later. YES!
You'll get about 3 videos per week.
Its been said already but I noticed in the first video and this one: your equipment from the menu is already equipped to you in battle. You don't need to equip again in battle, it's wasting a half turn. Basic rule of thumb is equip your best gear outside of battle so you don't need to switch it in battle.
