In almost all Mike haducks videos he says it needs to be redone every year... Unfortunately I never saw a picture of what it looks like after that year do you have any of those pictures?
Check out my original video which was about 11 months prior to this one. This video is the after. Check out the video and give us your feedback. Mike is a Master Mason and he is absolutely correct, it’s a annual maintenance item. How big of a project do you have?
@@danielvanravenhorst6917 I would not use the Portland paint on my driveway. In fact I only used the Portland as a test because I had almost a full bag sitting around. The Rapid set mortar mix is way better and Rapid set has specific products for entire surface overlay. I would probably just use RS mortar mix or Cement All, thin layer with a trowel and quick broom finish. Note this may not come out perfect like a newly poured slab so keep that in mind.
If you want a Portland slurry to hide rapid-set you need to either, paint the rapid-set with a mud-slurry, for application of mud slurry refer to, (Mike Haduck's School of Hard Knocks). The proper application for white-washing is, to paint on multiple coats. 1. Thin coat 2. Thicker second coat 3. Final thin coat. Let it dry in between coats. My porch is going on 2 years and, it's still in good shape a bit dull. I will probably give a face-lift next summer to brighten it up. You might think about looking at some concrete ceilers.

@@cndbrn7975 thanks for the reply. The Rapid Set is so much better but I don’t like how it cures bright white.
