Dwight is still my favorite country singer, while country music has been over ran by cowboy hat wearing sell out pop stars, he still maintains the integrity of country music, and reminds us all what it should be.
Love the laughter in this rendition - and the groove of two single guitars, and the way Dwight Yokam smiles his way through this very fine country song - one of the finest! Great - and hillarious.
He missed his era. That man is pure Rock-a-Billy gold. And as another who missed their era, I love him.

ive seen on you tube, dwight perform this live with the great merle haggard, a very unique voice and a great personality, i love how country singers dont take themself serious, like the the hand crafted studio lip sinkers of today. this man has nothing but great admiration of his fellow country singers. he,s a little bit country/ rock a billy. love it.

About the time I found him on the radio moving out west.turned on a girl from Wildwood n j on to his music. At first she did not listen but on a trip in a yugo to grand canyon and Vegas she did. Will see him at the ryman in September with Jack for the 6 time there and about the 20th time live.if you can go see him one of the last great singers .Dwight can sing it all and has the respect for the past. Damn good actor too.

Yoakam's music never was too steel-influenced...most of that sound was done by Pete Anderson on his telecaster. Rock infused backing or not, he's still more county than most (if not all) of the crap on country radio nowadays.
