Pure talent, class, dignity, humbleness and respect. Pretty much a lost art in the pop country music of today.

What a joy to hear Dwight to sing the songs that really have the message we all should be listening to. Praise God for sending his Son Jesus to die on that old rugged cross for sinners like we all are. The Garden is a gift from God. Good job Dwight and may God Bless you for your talents used for the Glory of our GREAT GOD

I would concur, the most fitting eulogy type song I have ever heard. Just leaves me numb how beautifully he played and sang. Maybe Divinely inspired?

Hmm Although I believe there is a God and believe Jesus was the human embodiment of God (the only way an infinite being can contain himself to communicate with us) I cannot get behind any idea of organized religion. I credit it for giving me the understanding there is a God, but I simply cannot get behind the idea that humans have the authority or the power to define God and that seems to be what is going on.
My understanding of God reaches far beyond any church or so called house of worship. I believe the point is so we can gain a higher level of learning and being. The bible is just a simplistic interpretation of who and what God is and how he correlates with humans, however I cannot ignore that the true model of God is one based in intellect as God is indeed far beyond the reach of intelligence measured by mankind. How can a structure that was an interpretation for a society that no longer exists if we are to believe God can never grow beyond the confines of a single book. Sorry but it is narrow minded of us to think in a world where complex aspects of physics, science, philosophy, math and language that God is not found within the structure.
As crazy as it sounds true belief in God is declaring he told you different and helped you form you own ideas of him, how he exists in your mind and how he uses complex models to do what he has done. I believe no man will ever be granted that authority to override God and speak for him. Belief that all that is required is to believe a narrow minded belief filled with bigotry and is so archaic it resembles a children's book means mankind got it wrong by dragging that book so far into the future. We separated God from science NOT God, we defined him to a book not God. It pains me to see so many people following this idea without ever really understanding God.
I found God in quantum mechanics and asked for him to help me understand. The model I see in my head lacks the human language to define it and convey it to humans. I understand it is a question people need to use their own free will to ask and believe he will answer them. I couldn't trust humans to tell me the truth so all I could do was ask God. HE showed me the nature of reality is perception and projection on to the world and how reality is confined individually, I saw he is infinite so therefore it was the only model he knew was perfect to create, I saw he uses a system of reset to allow humans to learn without there ever being a defining end as a reset is necessary to stop an infinite loop, I see time has 3 stages that dictate we are giving forward motion through action then that resides in a larger portion, an era so to speak in which we have always been confined to until we learn to span the entire length of time itself, I believe my afterlife is going to be pretty interesting because the system he used got a whole lot bigger for me and all because I bothered to ask "help me understand".
The bible dictates the actions of God in response to ignorant people, lesser knowing people. God does not hate and it takes an act of evil and hate to damn a soul to a place dictated in the bible. The biggest issue is it paints the most loving being to ever exist as evil, it paints him in an ignorant light and it has strayed so many people away for fear of God. I do not feel wrath, hate, anger or any negative emotion when I think of God. I feel love with an overwhelming feeling of sadness and sorrow because I let human drive the fear of God in me through organized religion and to God I am truly sorry. The actions depicted in the bible already happened down to the end of it. There is no battle, there is no hell, Jesus came and went already and we have, as predicted back then, inherited the Earth. We are still ignorant to it but pain and suffering will go away in the world when we come to a higher level of intelligence. The suffering we see today is due to the fact that once we inherited the Earth we simply didn't have enough knowledge to prevent free will from taking precedence and making stupid decisions. It is never God nor will it ever be him causing it. Ignorance is the failing, knowledge and understanding is how we move beyond this failing. Its pretty evident everything in the bible already happened as we can correct mistakes, we can get rid of evil by jailing someone who is evil, we can create and mimic everything we see in the world. In other words because we have entire control of the world is how you know all the bible already happened and is a history of what happened long ago and how God dealt with it back then. It still exists because we have an instinct in us we can't explain to always want to remember in some form or fashion where we came from.
Honestly, just ask him when you want to know I assure you he will show you. I know what he showed me was worth knowing and understanding it. I believe it to be true because I addressed God, I have never acknowledged an evil being so in my reality there is no Devil, no Hell and no dictation to get past. I know God as a pure infinite being who created perfection within imperfection, I understand his creation was already created perfect and the idea he will one day trash it is simply stupid. I can grasp concepts and theories of things like the double slit experiment, string theory, Stephen Hawking and Roger Penrose theory they worked on, CTMU and a lot more. I completed the 8th grade and got a GED, I should not be able to intelligently hold conversations with theoretical physicist let alone understand what they are talking about. I owe that level of understanding completely to God and no one else.
So to answer your question in the context you ask was this video "divine" inspired? Yes, it always is as we are a part of God so every action in the world is and divine action, but when made in this context its extremely moving because it channels the most powerful emotion of God and that is love of the person who is gone. God created us in his image but no one ever tried to understand to what extent we are and to be quite frank the answer is exactly in his image.

Thank you Dwight, love ya bro. It means a lot...I grew up on a few of yer albums, amongst a large collection of country. These days, I lean heavily on my Savior. It is written "do not pray or prophesy with our heads covered, because it shames our heads for we were made in God's image" but it didn't say we couldn't sing and worship with head covered, lol. Thank you again! I pray to see ya along with 'ol Buck in our Home in the sky on that uncloudy day!

Little Roy Wiggins told me the story of how he and Leon McCauliffe met. Leon was Little Roy's idol and he added this phrase. "Where else but in Country Music can a person meet someone they idolize. It is rare for a person to meet their idols and even more rare to become friends with them.
This video is a perfect example of something I was told 30 years ago. I knew Buck and know Dwight as well and their friendship was as true and genuine as any I have ever known. Wonderful tribute to both.

This song is a beautiful tribute to Buck Owens I love Dwight with or without his hat, but I think Buck was trying to tell him his hat is so symbolic of his personality as a country star. I recall David Letterman saying to him that he was excellent in the movie Slingblade, but it was a real "image breaker". Then so many people couldn't forget that was just a character he played. So many tv hosts after that would ask him to remove his hat. I think his hat reminds people who he really is.
