Hallelujah, Holy Jesus Christ, I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses. And the voice I hear falling on my ear. The son of god discloses. Amen
My sweet mommas favorite song. Playing it for her now as she lay on her bed unresponsive with one foot over the threshold ready to see Jesus face to face 😢
Beautiful...as only Loretta can do it. Her voice, and accent, take me back to East Tennessee where I first heard this song, sung by my Mama while she played her guitar, before I was 7 years old.
When you say Country music the first singers that come to mind are Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. This is real country music. There is not purer sound. I love it.
I know the words to almost every song on this album. We played this one for my mom's funeral nineteen years ago and it still brings tears to my eyes every time I hear it.
This brings back so many memories. We sang this every Sunday at my little white country Methodist church on a hill. We closed our worship with it. I wonder if this happened in other churches.
I grew up listening to greats like Lorretta Lynn & Lynn Anderson & Whispering Bill Anderson &Charlie Riche & Marty Robin's & Willie Nelson & Johnny Cash these were just a few I named there were so many I miss my childhood days ! Loretta sang this song so beautifully !
I love this song it's so heart touching to me. This is how I'd love to think it is talking to God. God is everything in life to me and yes he's my best friend.
this song reminds me of my GMA... she used to sing and play hymns all the time, they played this song at her funeral... I'm not very religious and def. not a Christian, but I don't think you have to be in order to enjoy this song.. as it brings me to tears all the time.. Don't mind me just balling my eyes out..
I wish for you all the very best young lady. Your comment seems "definant". Since you are young, I hope you have opportunities to perhaps reconsider. It seems your grandmother had accomplished that and more. She has you thinking. You can be with her again. God's Blessing be yours.
Idk... Maybe those tears are because your GMA is with Jesus...and your spirit hears the the dew on the roses..wishing you to walk with Jesus.. Idk. GOD be with you.
Nikki - have you ever heard the Dirt Band's 'old upright piano'? I think you will like the spirit of the (not very religious) song. And ignore these other intrusive comments. They talk about love, but really just want you to join the enslaved. Keep thinking for yourself. No one can answer life's questions but YOU!
This is whose my mother favorite song. She died 30 years ago in my arms. Sense then it's been my song and know that the end is near for me. Please enjoy it as must as o have.
My mother died in my arms in 2004. It is the most awful thing that a man could experience. I feel and weep with you and all the others whom have experienced this. NOTHING is like this. God bless you and all the others.
Not just a lovely song, it is an experience all can have thanks to Jesus' sacrifice for our sin. Jesus said that because he went to the father he would ask the father and he would send the Holy Spirit to be with us and in US so at any moment of time if we are born again we can have this experience of personal communication with our heavenly father in the person of the Holy Spirit.
I come to the garden alone While the dew is still on the roses And the voice I hear, falling on my ear The Son of God discloses And He walks with me And He talks with me And He tells me I am His own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known He speaks and the sound of His voice Is so sweet the birds hush their singing And the melody that He gave to me Within my heart is ringing And He walks with me And He talks with me And He tells me I am His own And the joy we share as we tarry there None other has ever known I'd stay…
Lee Remick sang this hymn to Montgomery Clift, while crossing the river ferry in Wild River: *And He walks with me, and He talks with me, and He tells me I am his own.* Loretta Lynn brought back the memory of Elia Kazan's 1960 movie. Thanks.
This is such a beautiful song. It was 1 of my aunt Rosie's favorite song. It was played at her funeral. I miss her so very much. It reminds me of her and it make me very emotional every time I listen to it.
Ronee Blakley did a perfect acapella version of this in Nashville. It made my spine tingle. The sad 'country star', playing a version of Loretta, was spot on! A short clip, uncluttered, soulful. Wish it was on the soundtrack.
how beautiful-born in gospel we go to the eternal garden as our heavenly home to be with our brother when we become his words-he said-"as my fathe sends me I send you-"
If, my good ol lady 😢. She wouldn't have left me if I only did what I had to do after our marriage. I know I am responsible for my hurt. But, I do look back, and say, thank you Lord for have given me those precious times with her in High School. 😂. As long as everyone else is happy, I do not have nothing else to complain about. 😌
I love this song, her voice is amazing ❤❤
Her voice was that of an angel. The best country singer of all times. I have heard many sing this song but no one can carry it like she does.
What a lovely thing to share with us She is exactly how you describe well said .
Hallelujah, Holy Jesus Christ, I come to the garden alone while the dew is still on the roses. And the voice I hear falling on my ear. The son of god discloses. Amen
Hey Loretta my mom uses to sing that song 🎵 but she is dead now so I sing it 🎶 now I like that song thank you for sharing this song 🎵 with me 😊
''he speaks, and the sound of his voice is so sweet the birds stop their singing."

Loretta Lynn was one of the greatest singers ever. Thank you God for blessing us with her beautiful voice.
And a wonderful person.
Beautiful...as only Loretta can do it. Her voice, and accent, take me back to East Tennessee where I first heard this song, sung by my Mama while she played her guitar, before I was 7 years old.

This touches my heart so much! My Dad is dying and I sent him this and I know it will bless him! There was no one like her.
When you say Country music the first singers that come to mind are Johnny Cash and Loretta Lynn. This is real country music. There is not purer sound. I love it.

Some folks stir the soul when they sing from the heart. This lady has done this and more.
Such wonderful witnessing. Honest singing. As if she wrote the lyrics herself. Definitely a blessed soul
Rest in peace Loretta Lynn. 🥀😓😇
These are the kind of songs I remember as a child listening to my granny
I love this song it's so heart touching to me. This is how I'd love to think it is talking to God. God is everything in life to me and yes he's my best friend.
I loved hearing this as a child. I'd just sit and imagine the whole garden. And the drops of water on the roses..
This song always makes me proud that I belong to to the Lord.
Used to love hearing my MOM and a friend sing this when I was a kid. So pretty. Love my MOM, NORMA and LORETTA 😊
Dear Lord, and he walks with me, and he talks with me, and he tells me I am his own. Loretta Lynn you soothe my soul. I pray for you.

Beautiful song by a Beautiful Lady
I come to the garden alone
While the dew is still on the roses
And the voice I hear, falling on my ear
The Son of God discloses
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
He speaks and the sound of His voice
Is so sweet the birds hush their singing
And the melody that He gave to me
Within my heart is ringing
And He walks with me
And He talks with me
And He tells me I am His own
And the joy we share as we tarry there
None other has ever known
I'd stay…

Beautiful song and voice by my fellow small town country girl from back home in the beautiful hills of Ky.
Ronee Blakley did a perfect acapella version of this in Nashville. It made my spine tingle. The sad 'country star', playing a version of Loretta, was spot on! A short clip, uncluttered, soulful. Wish it was on the soundtrack.
Thank God they r preserved for another generation
Just beautiful

One of the more astonishing moments in my life was when my boss, a Jew from Chicago and part of a Hindu ashram, sang
this song to me. Where on earth?
Were you saved on the spot?
Would logically follow such illogical premisces.
